Ah yours just made me realise I had one this weekend too! I was at an event this past weekend with a bunch of friends and acquaintances in their late twenties (I'm in my mid-forties). It was really hot that day so I went with a short shift dress and ended up with a bunch of compliments from 'the kids' about what great legs I have and how fit I am. I think the subtext was supposed to be '... for your age' but I'll take it anyway, particularly because the compliments were coming from some uniformly stunning Mediterranean girls whom it would have been really painful to be in summer event photos with 55 pounds ago!
Didn't get hit on while dancing though, so well done @lucadeangiles11 -
Hubby & I went to Topgolf this weekend, I haven't swung a golf club in 2 years because we just haven't had time. I was hitting very well and I'm convinced that the weight lifting I've been doing has helped me have better control over my swing as I was quite consistent all night.12

Last few times going to supermarket I have avoided buying biscuits (my binge trigger). One time I even went in with the intention of buying some and managed to talk myself out of it.
One biscuits leads to whole packet, especially chocolate ones...16 -

Headwind came up, so the third mile was 16:59. Still pleased, as my pace has been picking up over the last couple of weeks. All sub 16 minute miles tomorrow!
Great pace Steve!!!! Its that leg/glute work you do! Keep it going!2 -
Way to go, everyone. I just finished reading through this whole thread. I have no idea how long it took me, but it was very inspiring to read everyone's accomplishments. You all are AWESOME!
My NSV; Yesterday was day 31 of walking at least 5 miles a day to reach over 11,000 steps. I bought a Fitbit on April 20, 2019 and at that time I was walking around 2,000 steps a day. I set my goal for 5,000 to push myself. Since then I have walked over 340 miles. Might have to try this running thing everyone keeps talking about.
Keep it up everyone!!25 -
The buffest lady at the gym (she has absolutely awesome arms & shoulders) made a point to come over and tell me she sees me there all the time and has noticed my back muscles are really looking good 😊 definitely made my morning!17

The length of time of my potty party when the scale did not reflect my consistency, discipline and commitment. I missed one 55 minute walk and then I jumped back in with my AM Yoga before work and Hiit class that evening. That's a victory because the old me would have thrown in the towel and let the number on the scale dictate my mood. Not anymore! I have had several comments from my gym community about how I am getting stronger and comments from friends, family and church family that the workouts are paying off.
Onward!10 -
Order this GORGEOUS fall/winter sweater from a label I've never tried. The size chart warned that this sweater runs SMALL, so order the next size up. I was soooo tempted to order a large, but ordered a medium (my size)...got it today and it looks so terrific on me, BETTER than it looked on the model (well...just a cute anyway) . Then fear HIT/tempted me as I was looking at it on me in mirror, because it fits super loose (looks GOOD super loose on me too and will look fabulous with skinny jeans and/or leggings)--I thought to myself "BLAST" I had indeed ordered the size large and thought to myself I hope they will still have a medium because I love the sweater and this one is super cute, but fitting large on me. Looked at the tag...AND IT IS A MEDIUM. Hooooooboy, that made/makes me feel like a winner. YAY!13

I went up on weights this week at the gym! A big buff guy did the leg machines before me and I raised his weight by 40-50lbs, it was awesome!18

NewLifestyle, I know how you feel, I bought a dress a while back and it is a large and wished I had bought a medium because it is too big but I dont mind one bit! Good feeling

This week:
- I got my first, “hey skinny mini”
- Later than day I got my first friend who was concerned I still plan to lose more weight (still in overweight BMI of 27 and plan to get at least to less than 25); she thinks I need to consider stopping before I get too thin
- Bought 5 new summer shirts since all those from last summer are way too big (2x); bought 3 S and 2 M.
- Had to buy another new bra since the ones I bought it March were too big, down another band size and a cup size.
- Avoided the donuts in the break room at work despite being too busy to eat normal foods and stressed (in the past my go too solution for a stressful shift was sugar from the break room)16 -

...so are you going to exchange it for a small?3 -
I successfully weaned myself off of caffeine. In the past I have gone cold turkey, but this time I did it very slowly so it was much more manageable! It's been serveral years since I've been caffeine free. I feel great!17

I have a few:
I met my friend who two and a half months ago knew that I started a new food regimen. She said: wow, you're really taking weight loss seriously, aren't you?! (Actually, yes, I am, thank you for asking.) She also said that I don't need to lose more, but that she knows that I have my goal weight firmly set in stone, so she didn't try to persuade me out of it.
My hairdresser also noticed that I lost weight from the last time I saw her, a couple of months ago.
Almost every item of clothing in my closet hangs off of me. Some of it looks sexy on me even when it's baggy, but some of it looks unappealing.
Seeing my kilos vary between 64.0 and 63.5, which is a number i haven't seen in over ten years. I was suspicious of counting calories and weight fluctuation, especially with my menstrual cycle, but my body in the mirror doesn't lie. The weight is going down. Today I saw that I lost 7 pounds altogether, and I feel super proud of myself.15 -
I bought some band shirts, and I took the risk of getting an XL (usually get a 2-3XL) and they're actually slightly too big. I thought they would be small. :0
I haven't been able to wear a regular large since I was 18.24 -
Today... I RAN! Just a little bit, but I did it several times during my walk. One time, I even ran for long enough that I had to stop running lest I set off my asthma. I've always hated running, so I haven't done it for more than a few seconds to catch a bus since high school, more than a decade ago. I don't think I'll do it again unless I have contacts in, though, because my glasses got bouncy.15

I got really mad one day last week and instead of going to the pantry for some type of food for comfort I felt the huge urge to workout so I got up and had a wonderful workout!! Never in my life had I had that happen, I'm a huge emotional eater so this was an amazing change!24
