Another short swim after lifting. I'm not sure where my motivation is going. I suppose going home and sitting in the sun with a gin and tonic is more appealing. It won't help me reach my goals though, so I swim...

25 minutes going slowly and mindfully

I have much to get right every time I swim. Gotta love the details!

4km today. The sets were long and involved. Not gonna break it down, but I'm liable to nap it out in my chair at work today.

Finally, a swim. Not long, but I was there, doing it lap by lap 👍

Worked up a sweat picking berries in the hot sun. 🚿 Then to the pool!

Did a few kick laps, hoping my feet were tight. Why haven't we evolved to be able to leave one eye out to watch ourselves swim?

Did some freestyle. Worked on staying long and relaxing the hands for entry. Hoping I'd remember to rotate one of these weeks.

Fly. Parts and 25 yards of full stroke. Beautiful stroke that I've seen others execute. How do "I" look? If it feels good, is it?

    I'm backstroke challenged.

Now to make those lemon bars! Yeah and yum!

40 minutes. A little of all strokes, mostly freestyle and backstroke but also a good chunk of time working on fly.

I could just swim freestyle for 40 minutes, but I enjoy discovering the little ways I could swim all four strokes a little bit better.

Different strokes for different folks. (No pun intended)

    Greetings folks.

So I’m back after a year away, and really 2 years of not swimming consistently.
Gained back all the weight I lost too in the process :-) so I’m back on the wagon.

Although haven’t posted here, restarted 2 months ago literally swimming 3-400m
Trying to do 4-5 swims a week, and now back to 2.5 km per session

    Lost 5 kilos so far.

Got replacement for old music player yesterday, which has forced me to bump up to a 64 strokes per minute stroke rate, closer to what I had grown accustomed to swim, and as expected times have dropped as I adjust.

But hey just glad to be swimming again, working on my form, cutting down the weight!
    Excited to be back!

33 minutes. Ten minutes of freestyle, thirteen minutes of backstroke, 8 minutes of fly and 2 minutes cool down.

Then a bike ride on a gorgeous August day.

    Cheers!
