You're not faulty, you're autistic. It's not your fault you don't fit in. People who have an issue with that are called "bigots", and you don't need them.
Don't ignore warning signs. Jealous tantrums, implausible tales, supervising rather than accompanying, putting you down. Just walk. You're so much better than that.
If your parent's life is screwed t, don't take their advice on how to live yours.

I would tell my younger self 'its your fault you don't fit in, get help to fix it'. I'm just this side of autistic atm (though not actually autistic), would have been nice to know its a problem when I was younger, in order to start the process of fixing it then.3
