Should I log the active calories I burned or the total calories for the day? I’ve recently gotten an Apple Watch & I’m not sure if I should include the total.. or active calories.

I just log the active calories. The difference between the active and total calories is already accounted for in your daily allotment.1

I only log active calories, the total calories that you burn doing basic body functions (breaths, standing, etc.) give you a caloric deficit which causes weight loss (unless you are trying to gain weight). If you log your total calories the MFP weight loss/gain estimation won't work and you will eat more/less then you should for the speed you want to lose/gain weight.1
