Yesterday’s stats: 1756 Calories In / 2779 Calories Out. 42 Net Carbs. 17,168 Total Steps & 7.26 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 4 hours & 12 minutes. I did the elliptical for 11 minutes, Walked at slower pace for 85 minutes and walked with neighbor at a faster but moderate pace for 53 minutes. Total extra calorie burn was 852. Today I clean tourist cabins & do motel laundry all day. It will be busy.
08/19 …..196.0 ….. BBQ after cabin cleaning. I ate the 2 buns. Luckily TMI helped. Not as much activity planned so I’ll have to figure that one out. Yesterday’s stats: 1948 Calories In / 3234 Calories Out. 130 Total Carbs. 21,448 Total Steps & 9.08 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept a LOUSY 3 hours & 29 minutes so I am so very very tired again today. I rigorously cleaned tourist cabins for 228 minutes, took a moderate paced 45 minute walk & also took a 17 minute moderately paced walk with neighbor & her dog. Total extra calorie burn was 1418. Lots of paperwork today so I hope to fit in some activity. Can I lose one pound overnight to meet my goal? You betcha! Lots of water & mindful eating today.
08/20 …..195.4 ….. Very close to goal & running at a loss so I won’t quite throw my head back in glee and laugh, but a wide smile & an under-the-breath chuckle may be in order. Typing in red as a loss for the whole round is a very good start. I knew there would be less time for exercise & activity yesterday, so I am seriously proud of the overnight change. Yesterday’s stats: 1161 Calories In / 2548 Calories Out. 33 Net Carbs. 13,116 Total Steps & 5.55 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours & I slept 6 hours & 29 minutes and needed every drop of it! I did some general housecleaning & flower transplanting for 90 minutes and I walked at moderate pace with friend for 54 minutes. Great round for so many! Nice progress for all physically or mentally/emotionally. See you next round! 10 days at a time…….

Finally back. Got upper dentures on the 12th. Thought I would lose weight because it was hard to eat, but I think I managed to consume more and definitely some stress eating leading up to it. Just thankful that I’ve had a partial for years so I know I will adjust over a few weeks. Have to start keeping track of the calories so my weight doesn’t balloon.

Hi everyone. Glad to see everyone back again for another round and that we have so many new people joining. Last round I finally got into a new decade (139.6) but messed up right away and killed that weight,lol. Stress got me for a couple of days so I am back at it again and will try to get back down.

08/11 - 141.5 up a bit today, not unexpected. Got into a bit of an argument with my husband last night and ate my emotions today. Men just drive me crazy with how simple they think sometimes, at least that is the way husband is. I crave carbs and comfort food when I am upset, so I consoled myself with them. We have been married so many years we hardly ever argue and when we do we make up fairly quickly, but he just makes me so angry sometimes. Uugghhh
08/12 - 145.0 so here is the rest of my emotional eating on Saturday and I was horrible yesterday. Of course we have already made up, but then he took me to lunch to apologize and I had 2 bloody Mary's so the sodium and carbs are through the roof right now. Water, water, and water today to get me back down. 5.4 pounds from Saturday morning to Monday morning is such a bummer. I have been doing this long enough to know not to freak out though and within a couple of days I will be back down. One weekend of emotional eating and drinking and this is what happens. I have to learn how to deal with things a little better I think, lol.
08/13 - 145.0 I am thinking this is all hormonal. I have been extremely sensitive and moody the last couple of days. I also wanted salt/sour things all weekend and couldn't satisfy my cravings. There is no reason for my weight to be this high and still be up other than stupid hormones. I know when just looking at my husband annoys me that there is something else going on. I am actually feeling a bit better today and can see how crazy I have been the last couple of days. I should have known when the scale jumped up almost 6 pounds over night and has stayed there something else is influencing it. Hopefully by Thursday or Friday I will be back to normal. Just have to stay the course at this point.
08/14 - 142.7 back down and feeling back to "normal". I am not mad at the world anymore, lol, and can actually think straight again. I love being a woman sometimes! Hopefully I will be back down to my 140/141 tomorrow and be able to hold steady there the rest of the round. I have 1 more round after this one to try and get into the next decade and stabilize before birthdays, vacation, and 3 day weekends take over for a month. The end of August and first half of September are going to be challenging, but I think I am up for it.
08/15 - 142.7 same as yesterday which is good, because I was not great last night. 3 beers, a half a piece of lasagna, and a garlic knot for dinner. Thankfully I started with a huge salad and I had only had 300 calories all day before that. It was so nice outside last night my husband and I sat out in the back yard and just enjoyed the evening. That's where my 3 beers came in, lol. Oh well, hopefully I can keep it together this weekend because I haven't accomplished much this week. I am still up about 3lbs from the ending of the last round, so if I can get rid of at least 1 more pound I will be happy. These last 5-7 pounds are really stubborn.
08/16 - 142.7 I have not been on track all week. I craved carbs and fast food all day yesterday and ate them. I don't know what is going on with me, but all I can do is keep going. I have planned today, so I should stay on track. My 2nd youngest is turning 14 on Sunday and we are having his party tomorrow. Will try to make good choices and if I can hold steady through the weekend then I can start fresh on Monday. All I can say is that at least I am not gaining anymore. I am still up about 3 pounds from the ending of the last round, so my work will be cut out for me in the next round for sure!
08/17 - 142.1 having my sons 14th bday party today and hoping to stay on track. Was great until I got home last night and had a couple of beers again. The weather is so nice and it’s killing me, lol. Monday I am back on track and getting rid of these last couple of pounds.

08/20 - 148.2 haven't checking in the last couple of days. Father-in-law passed away very suddenly on Saturday night and sent us into turmoil. Bad eating on the go, stress, alcohol, no sleep, and dealing with husband and family has taken a toll. Back at work today, but honestly I am exhausted and my heart hurts for my husband. We are probably going to have to go to Texas where his dad lived, but right now we are just trying to figure out what is going on. Terrible ending to this round obviously, but it's life and sometimes you can't avoid life. My 10 day average is way up and I am almost 10 pounds up from the ending to the last round. This is what happens when you go from eating little to no carbs for months to eating sandwiches in the car, easy fast food items, no water, lots of alcohol, and no sleep. It is what it is and I will see if I can get it back down. I am sure it's water retention and stress.11 -

08/11 - 207.6! Wow! Haven't seen a drop like this in a while. Very happy! Hoping I can maintain but probably wont tomorrow, cheated a little today on my macros but stuck to my calories. Had a special occasion today, so not holding the macro cheat against myself. Will do better with macros and exercise for the rest of the week though! Until then, grateful for the loss I had today
08/12 - 207.8! Up a little but so happy to see this number on the scale. Trying to do a good job of sticking to keto. Today is the first day of my fourth week and the first time I'm struggling with cravings. I just want a sandwich! Grr... Maybe it's a side effect of resisting so many temptations this weekend. Trying to stick to my macros and calories and to continue resisting. I'll try to find something keto friendly to scratch this itch so I dont obsess over cravings. Doing a youtube hiit workout today, love them

Back to my lowest weight in two years 🤩 frustrating how much easier it is to stick to diet and exercise goals when the scale shows progress, but awareness of this type of thing is the first step to changing. Still, I'm very motivated to stick to food and exercise goals today. Made an epic fresh tomato sauce w lean ground beef and zoodles. Excited to have it again for lunch today
08/14 - 208.6... *sigh* literally for the entire month of August, my weight has been bouncing up and down 1.5 lbs. Gotta keep working hard to get it back down low. I hope I can push through this plateau soon. It's been exactly two weeks of the same yo-yo despite strictly following keto. Will try not to let this bring me down. Had a good workout with my personal trainer today and will stick to calories/macros and hope for the vest tomorrow.
08/15 - 207.8! And back down goes the yo-yo... Had a good day yesterday, hoping for a other one today. Will probably make today a rest day bc I am so sore from yesterday, but will fit in some gentle yoga to stretch and work hard to stick to macros today. Gotta work hard to hopefully end this weight flux and keep pushing onwards and downwards
08/16 - 206.2!!! Wow, what a drop. So so happy but also nervous this is just a fluke and I'm about to fluctuate right back up tomorrow. Fingers crossed... In the meantime, sticking to my macros and exercising and hoping to maintain this loss through tomorrow and beyond
08/17 - 206.6! Up a little bit but not in the 207 or 208 range like I expected! Super happy 😊 stuck to keto and spent the whole day walking around. Was super hard because I was at a festival where all the food was fried, but I managed to resist temptation! Hoping to keep this new 206 development for weigh in tomorrow
08/18 - 206.6! No change is still a win because it's not an increase! Got my meal planning done for the week today, lots of delicious healthy keto meals on deck for the week. Doing chores in the backyard as my exercise and going to stick well to my calorie goals. Hoping to keep making progress
08/19 - 206.4! Yay! A drop! And on my first day of my TOM. Very happy... Fingers crossed this lasts through tomorrow so I can finish this round at goal. Have my workout w my personal trainer soon, last one before my gift certificate runs out. It's been good to have these 5 workouts with her. Today is also the first day of my fifth week on keto! Celebrating by sticking to my diet and crossing my fingers for more results down the line
08/20 - 206.8! Back up a bit but still a loss for this round, and I count any loss as a win, especially after all the struggles I had w weight loss thanks to PCOS. I finally found a diet that's working for me with keto Pretty exhausted today from a tough weight lifting session yesterday, going to do some light cardio and stick to my healthy meals that I've prepped for today. Hoping to start the next round off on the right foot tomorrow!

08/11 139.5, walked 32,000 steps yesterday during the festival, and woke up thirsty so need to drink more water. Today I’m on one stage mostly so my legs can have a much deserved rest!
08/12 140, had a really fun weekend, but got sunburnt so aloe is my best friend right now. Back to regular eating and exercise.
08/13 139.7, back on my way down. It should be a good day of eating and have a exercise class after work. I have a happy hour with my sorority alum group in the city so going to join for a bit, but will get a club soda since had too much drinking over the weekend and really want a good sleep so can power through the rest of the week and make up for the weekend.
08/14 139.4, busy day at work, but signed up for a spin class with a friend that should hold me accountable. It is harder for me to cancel on a friend at the end of the day, even if I really dislike working out after a long day.
08/15 139.1, almost back to where I was at the end of the last round and hope to see that by Saturday. I have a happy hour tonight at a really nice venue so will save a bulk of my calories for some cheese and wine! Planning on doing 70 minutes at the gym to counter some of the fun I’ll have to tonight

08/18 138.8, in the right direction, but really hoping for a whoosh this or next round since getting impatient with the amount of work I’m doing. I have a feeling it’s going to be this slow for a lot of the remaining 18.8 lbs (happy scale trend is .5 lbs a week now)

I managed to keep my calories within a good range but the meal was much heavier than I would like. Will see tomorrow how it affected my weight.

8/11: 201.6 (+.8) not too bad. Expected far worse. Didn’t make it to the gym yesterday and went over my calories. Had family day and although I weighed all my food and portioned It properly. I gave in at night for ice cream with the family. Today I have a kids bday party. Going to try super hard to be better.
8/12: 200.6 (-1.0) I’m ok with this. I did good yesterday but I didn’t have enough water like I usually do and I also didn’t eat very good. I ate small but I ate crap. I was super exhausted so it threw me off nans I was at a birthday party for kids. So too much was accessible.
8/13: 200.8 (-.2) I’m not sure what happened. I was far under my calories. Had 2 workouts yesterday and drank over a gallon of water. Yesterday was the best I felt in a while. And yet the scale went the wrong way. What the heck!!
8/14: 199.6 (-1.2) yesterday was a pretty good day. Good gym session. Good food choices. Plenty of water. Soccer game at night. I felt really good when u went to sleep and i am content with today’s results. It’s a slow journey but at least I’m on it. Thanks for the support
8/15: 201.0 (+1.4) well I have no idea what’s going on anymore I lower my calorie intake. I’m working out. I’m staying active. I’m not eating late at night. And I’m not making any progress. My new challenge goal is to just get to my starting weight for the challenge.

8/20: 201.6 (+.6). Well again, gaining when I thought I had a great day. I just don’t get it. It’s probably because I ate late last night. But if I didn’t i would’ve been over 1,000 calories under my goal. I went to the gym and played soccer. So it was a lot of cardio. 08/18 Away for the weekend. No scale nearby. Helped my son move out of his college apartment at MSU and into his new “real” apartment in Pittsburgh, then long drive home to Philly. Lotta miles, not much exercise. Did not make the best choices, but did reasonably well. Had some carbs over the weekend so I expect the scale will show an uptick. Que sera sera. Back on the wagon tomorrow!!

8/11: 225.4 (+0.8)/19.1 (+0.1). I'm not sure exactly what happened, but not overly concerned, either. I thought I did a good job at least with portioning yesterday (came in at almost exactly my calorie goal), but food "quality" was not where it usually is. Weekends are always harder than the week, and today is no exception. My wife wants to go to a food festival, and then we're touring a really cool distillery (with tastings) right after. I'm going to keep focusing on portions as much as I can, and trying to stick to my macros.
8/12: 229.4 (+4.0)/19.5 (+0.4). Yesterday felt like a disaster, from beginning to end food-wise. I lost it for a day, didn't track at all, and didn't feel like posting.
8/13: 228.6 (-0.8)/19.4 (-0.1). Spent yesterday recovering from Sunday. I ate so bad on Sunday I felt sick most of the day Monday. I didn't track my food, but I think I generally did okay. My updated goal for this round is just to get back to my starting weight for the round.
8/14: 228.8 (+0.2)/19.5 (+0.1). If how I ate the previous day had any direct effect on my weigh-in the next morning, today would have been a loss. I was on-point with everything yesterday; I'll try to do the same today. I'm resigned to the fact that I might not reach my goal this week, and I'm okay with it (which is one of the reasons why I track average weight for each challenge... to track trends and get a more objective perspective). I've been most successful when I have trusted this process, and I'm going to stick with what I know. I really hope I get to play basketball again soon. The group I play with is having issues with the people who give gym permits. Every week I'm hearing, "Hopefully it will be done by next week."
8/15: 225.8 (-3.0)/19.1 (-0.4). Never look a gift WHOOSH!!! in the mouth. Sure, my drop this morning was less than my gain on Monday morning, but it still feels pretty good. I'm okay having weeks where I don't lose a whole bunch, but I'm really trying to avoid having weeks where I gain. Food yesterday was mediocre, honestly, but I ate within calories. REALLY hoping my basketball friends get their $h!t together and I get to play on Saturday. I also need to get into the gym, but life is making it difficult; I'm going to shoot for Friday night.
8/16: 225.6 (-0.2)/19.1 (0.0). I ate alright yesterday, with one glass of wine with dinner. I got some good news; we finally worked out our permit for my Saturday basketball game, which should be paid for and approved by today. The bad news; there's a volleyball tournament on Saturday at the high school we play at, so no basketball this Saturday (we get bumped for school events). I'm headed to the gym with my wife tonight. In addition to my normal weightlifting, I'm committing to 1/2 an hour on the elliptical in which I'll watch a television show I like (to keep me distracted). I'm really hoping it works. I H8 cardio.
8/17: 225.0 (-0.6)/19.0 (-0.1). Totally flaked on the gym, and my accountability partner ~@~'d on me for it (appropriately). I was a little bit over on calories (I think), but I also tend to overestimate them a bit. I'm actually feeling hopeful that I have a chance to get to my starting weight for the challenge, if not a little below that. Painting three rooms this weekend (including ceilings) and going to Six Flags Magic Mountain with my 78-year-old father on Monday (the old man is an adrenaline junkie). I'm going to try to get up early and get to the gym tomorrow (sorry Ashley!), but that just may not work. I did a great job saying "no" last night to dessert, even though it was pushed on my for a couple of hours by my wife's family.
8/18: 224.8 (-0.2)/19.0 (0.0). Painted all day, had a relatively unhealthy lunch.
8/19: 224.8 (0.0)/19.0 (0.0). More painting. More relatively unhealthy lunch that was VERY DIFFICULT TO TRACK. Calories offset by exercise, I think. Just like the day before.
8/20: 226.2 (+1.4)/19.2 (+0.2). Recovery day. Still ate unhealthy. I'm pretty sure my calorie estimates for the past couple of days were off pretty bad.

08/11 130.6 Well I expected that after a record 3 pound loss at the end of last round that my weight would go back up - expect that a large part of that drop was water weight from being out in the sun/heat the last 3 days. Ended up with less exercise yesterday, but quads and right ankle definitely needed a rest. Was doing fine on food and even managed to fit in a tablespoon size scoop of homemade garlic ice cream, but DH opened a bag of fake fritos late last night after watching a movie, so yesterday ended up being sort of a cheat day - I definitely need one now and then and probably was under calories if I ate back exercise calories. Anyway expect the weight will stabilize over the next 10 days if I can keep up activity and log food while out of town. NSVs: MFP prediction for today was 133.5, so clearly under that and still tracking a 1.2 lb loss over 7 days and 5 for 30 days! Also while packing for trip to mountains, found a small black sleeveless silk dress in my closet that fits perfectly! Goal is to stay active on trip to the mountains and wear it out for dinner!

08/17 131.5 Well so far not breaking even for the round. But only a 0.9 increase while on vacation which is within the range of daily variability with changes in water weight/food retention etc, so not going to worry about the gain, but will focus on the few days left of this round. I have to remember that it it took me 12 years to get to my peak weight, and if I am consistent I can take it off within 12 months! Hit cardio hard this morning with a spin class and then some ab work later so getting back on track for exercise and will see what the scale says tomorrow!
08/18 132.4 Well that is not going in the right direction! Woke up feeling dehydrated and more bloated than normal. Spent time outside weeding like a mad dog in the heat, and just dripped sweat. Had ice water with me while outside (several refills) and tried hard to stay hydrated, but have a slight migraine now (too much sun, not enough water?) so going to take a rest and maybe do some exercise exercise later at home if I feel up to it. Unless a major whoosh materializes at the last minute, looking more and more like this will be the first round where I do not have a loss. In any case, this is a marathon and not a sprint to the finish!

08/20 129.2 Well a 2.5 drop overnight has got to be water related (some food). Saw my nutritionist briefly yesterday and mentioned the 3.6 lb gain over the last 9 days. Her thought was that it was likely a large part water retention with increased sodium due to eating out most of the time, which seems to be supported by the drop yesterday. Now just hoping that this whoosh doesn't bounce right back up tomorrow for the new round! In any case, even though I am still higher than last round thrilled to be back in the 120's. NSV: able to wear new small leggings (OK they are a stretch jean material) and an XS top (vanity sizing so really a small :-) but feels great to be moving down a size!
