Confused

I am new to this and have a question. I have an app that is linked to my Apple Watch that tells me my resting energy (calories) and my active calories. If I eat less than this and track it on fitness pal will I essentially lose weight if I’m always below my active and resting calories?

are you weighing and logging everything you eat? because that's the most important part for most.

Just make sure how they are presenting the figures.

If those are the only 2 categories and you eat less than them added up - yes.

I say that because a direct link between MFP and Apple's systems results in the wrong figures being synced to MFP to do math with.

You have to use an inbetween app like Pacer to sync between the 2 successfully.

But yes - the idea is eating less than you burn in total.
