Has anyone tried Herbalife meal

From what I understand, someone was on it for two months and went into liver failure. Also, it's been linked to heavy metals and toxins, if I recall correctly.
I'd steer clear. You're always better off with real food.17 -

Overpriced, poor quality, and yeah they occasionally get sued for hurting people.
What were you hoping to accomplish by taking it? Your answer will help you get better replacement suggestions.

Herbalife is an MLM, a pyramid scheme. They hawk overpriced, dangerous products that can't in any way do what they claim, and also as a pyramid scheme, they destroy lives and relationships.
If you must do a meal replacement, please at least don't give your money to that unethical scumhole company.25 -
You don't need any supplements for weight loss. You just need to eat less calories than your body burns. In the best case scenario, supplements are just dangerous to your wallet. But unfortunately Herbalife in many situations is dangerous to the body as well. Avoid at all costs.9

Honestly I was in ur shoes and considered cheating my way to loosing weight.. (In that time I had over 80 kg on 154 cm). In one moment I was so obsessed to loose it that I would sell my soul to devil if that was what it takes to achieve it.. But lets keep it real, how long u would be able to stay on track (financially and mentally) eating/drinking that suspicious looking thing? I will not preach to u about health implications Coz what health we are talking while we r carrying extra 20 kg for example. But, I would like u to see a bigger picture: can you see ur self doing it ur whole life?
Calories in vs calories out, it's that simple and u don't need some expensive chemicals to make u eat less calories in a day, U can make ur own meal replacement shake with low cal fruit or vegetables, save money and save ur health.. Be kind towards ur own body, take control of what u r putting in it and find path that u can stick for the rest of ur life with..6 -
I've done diet shakes in the past, despite all my knowledge about weight loss and nutrition.
Yes it worked! Surprise surprise because I ate less! Well it can't even be really classed as food if I'm honest.
And then the weight all went back on again. This was like 10 years ago now. I'm older and wiser!
There are no quick fixes. Repeat after me; there are not quick fixes!!
All you need is good food, hydration and yes keeping active will help you. No product, no fad, or special drink will help you in the long term.7 -

I watched the video you linked, very entertaining way to dissuade anyone from Herbalife and any other dubious pyramid selling schemes!
I’m not familiar with John Oliver - assuming he’s a US journalist, although maybe a Brit living in America ? But I’ll be having a look at more from him. Thanks for the link! 😊9 -

He is a Brit who got his start in American television on The Daily Show with John Stewart. He now has his own comedy news show on HBO called Last Week Tonight which has won multiple Emmys. Oh, and he was the voice of Zazu in the remake of The Lion King.7 -

I got sucked into it about 20 years ago (!) and tried it for about 6 months before I gave up. I did lose some weight but not nearly enough to warrant consuming the ghastly products. They did try to encourage me to sell the stuff but I didn't get pushed hard.1

My question for you is what is driving you towards the meal replacement options? Is it ease of use? If you want a regimented plan and don't like to cook and prepare meals, I would consider making your own plan out of frozen entrees readily available at any grocery store. You can find meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner, protein shakes, protein bars, etc. at any store for a decent price.
I tried Jenny Craig many years ago, and soon realized I could just buy better frozen meals at the grocery store for much less money. Recommend looking at a grocery store app such as Walmart.com or another app in your local area. You can easily determine what is available, along with the nutrition numbers, and build your own plan that way.
I personally prefer to cook, but do keep a small stock of frozen meals as a backup.4 -

^ This is a good learning tool also. Not everyone cooks, but this is a start. You will learn portion sizes for FOOD instead of shakes. There are easy options out there. Lower calorie frozen food options; everything from breakfast to dinner.

I hesitate to criticize other peoples' diet choices, but I just really don't understand the diet shake industry in all of its manifestations. Why would anyone drink cans of chemicals instead of having real food?5

I feel like if we excerpt the math part about how, exponentially, there just aren't enough people in the ENTIRE WORLD to make possible the things they say, it has to stick in some heads? Coming at people who are sucked in with the idea that they are being preyed upon is one thing, because these some of organisations combat that actively with cult like creepiness, but literally everyone on the planet buying this junk can't make the reality happen how they say.0 -
Poor quality stuff that has a big name in the mexican community here in southern california. Youd find better stuff at walmart.0
