At work after a day an extra day off, so 4 day weekend.
Manager said I was never allowed to take another day off, apparently she missed me and having to do my job.
Then she gave me my approved vacation time list, and promptly jokingly said she cancelled it.

Read the book when it first hit paperback and it changed my life

I've seen a few episodes of season 2 and it's not bad

I’m only on season 1 and its pretty good. I’ll have to check out the book though, I didn’t realize the show was based on a book

It's not the kinda book I recommend to people as "life changing"--I think it hit me at the right time for what it was. I did find it fascinating.

Better or worse than an everest disaster biopic being unexpectedly dropped in your lap?

    Watching Carnival Row

Oh! I want to see that too😉 At first it caught my eye because it reminded me of the grafic story Saga...250px-Saga1coverByFionaStaples.jpg

Which I'm still.waiting 2 yrs later for the final episodes while the authors took a sabbatical and left my *kitten* hanging😣

But it looks like it's just the wings and horns and the war....and love story....hmmmm?🤔

I'll be checking it out soon too🙌😋

    Edited 2x because I can't find my glasses😏

I’ll let you both know how I like it. I’m only on episode 2 right now so I can’t say much yet :)

    Heheh

Into Thin Air was that kind of book for me. Left me staggered. Not that the writing was so great. If I’m honest, i found his writing style super tedious to get through. Maybe it was just hard to follow all the names. But the whole concept, the other-worldly culture of everest.. I don’t know man, i crave books that make me think like that one did

My wife watches that, but I can't bring myself to do it. She was telling me the same thing though

The promos have intrigued me although now I cannot remember anything about the plot of the show so I can’t remember what intrigued me about them 😅
