Something that seems to be helping me is having a "cut off" for when I'm done eating for the day. Right now, on a normal day, it's 8pm. There's no reason I shouldn't have already eaten dinner and gotten a snack before then and knowing that the kitchen is "closed" is almost reassuring. And I'm not into fasting or anything. But I've currently got my brain believing that any hunger/cravings are superfluous after 8pm. πππ€10

How Week One went:
Eat at/below calorie limit = 4/6
Strength train = 3/3 β
Cardio = 2/3
Overall, not bad. I'm still reeling myself in from the crazy eating of August and am happy I've recorded everything and only had one bingey day. I won't be at home for a couple days, so I can't weigh in just yet.
This week, I hope to get in more cardio and to limit my number of carbs, mainly breads, which are my weakness. π₯―π₯ππ₯
π Hope everyone has a fantastic week! π

Oh do I need help staying motivated and support in dealing with the day-to-day struggles. I cope with stress/anger by eating! :π’ as a mom of two rambunctious kiddos and wife to an incredibly skinny man who sneezes and loses weight, I need to find my tribe!
SW: 267 (current)
GW: 140
Welcome to the tribe!! I am so guilty of Stress Eating too... I do it while working then at home stressed with the kids (hubby works nights so I am flying solo). My hubby has always been a lean athlete, so I used to joke that we made a perfect "10". With our profiles, he looked like a lean "1" and I looked like a round "0".2 -
Here at home i have only 1 person doing the getting healthy/losing weight thing and she is aaaaalways busy. Im looking for everyday support. Hoping i can find it here. Its so hard. I need someone or something to hold me accountable.
CW-244 (the most ive weighed even during both pregnancies)
GW-234 for this month
Accountability and discipline come from within. We have to dig deep to access it. We have to really be ready for this journey to a healthier lifestyle.
We can support and motivate you. π
@Chibilove - I understand needing support. It is SO hard, especially when you are doing it alone. Just focus on each day. Remember to love yourself enough to take care of your body each and every day.
@LyndaBSS - I love your statement!! Discipline does come from within, you have to dig deep. I feel like I've stopped and started so many times before, I realize now it has to be a life-long journey to a healthier lifestyle2 -

I have a looooong way to go .... it's possible though so let's see how this goes.3 -

My goal for this September is to lost 8-10 pounds and walk for at least 15 minutes each day.2 -
This weekend was so rough. Every year my family and I celebrate Oktoberfests, and that means sausages and beer and bread, none of which help with meeting my goals. And the first month I was tracking I lost 10lbs and tracked every little thing. I am not always tracking in the evenings now, and I know that's why I haven't had much traction lately. I just feel stressed out lately, and I want to relax and eat the foods I like, but that's what put me into this situation in the first place. I'm just needing motivation, I guess. It is so tempting to just give up.5

Was at 223.2 this morning. Dropped 4 lbs in a day, mostly on a toilet. God, I hate my stomach. Wish me luck at my doctor appointment Thursday.
At least, I'm on track to be a bit under 220 by October. Which means there's actually a chance I could be around or under 200 at Christmas.
I never believed. When I downloaded this app shortly after the doctor said I was 276 pounds, I had zero hope that it would work.
Never been so happy to be proved wrong.12
