    Not OK, not only are these designed to raise money for kids' schools activities etc, they are meant to teach responsibility, appropriate interaction and ethics.

    Ordering food delivery and not being home to accept it (saw this happen at nearby apartment recently)

    Not ok- mainly because you're teaching your kids to lie
    putting your garbage/recycle bins out 3 days early because you'll be out of town on garbage day

    OK, what other resource do patrons have? I won't and don't reward bad service and if it's repeated, they don't see me again.

    Maybe, but decide whether you can choose between the ex and your friend. You should be prepared to lose your friendship if the friend really hates their ex (or secretly is still in love), and your date with the ex turns into an ongoing relationship.
