My face is so much smaller. I have a waist, ribs, and collarbones. I do have a bit of loose skin on my neck that I don't appreciate, but it is just the remnants of a double (maybe triple?) chin. Also, bye bye boobies! Went from a large C cup to an A cup. That is hardest for me, but when I think about all that I have gained by losing weight, I consider it an acceptable loss!
My cholesterol dropped 100 points and I now go on hikes! In the woods!! If you would have told me 5 years ago that I would do it - and ENJOY it - I would have called you a liar to your face!
You are ALL doing an amazing job! So encouraging to read all of the changes that you noticed! I hope you took pics so you can look at them when you feel discouraged or if you plateau. I look forward to reading about more changes!

Thanks for joining in, I'm so glad you're enjoying the thread. Well done on your successful weight loss! I'll be honest, I'm hoping my boobs do decrease a bit, they always seem a bit too big to make me look balanced, but I daresay I'll eat my words in a few months :)

I am down 20lbs and passed my gw without trying! I have cheekbones now and my eyes are larger? All my pants are baggy and I need a belt. I'm wearing pants that have been in my closet for at least 3 years that I never thought I would wear again...and they are baggy! I'm not sure what size of clothing I wear anymore :)
My overall health is so much better, my doctor is proud of me!

Wow, well done! How was it so easy for you? Did you have high-calorie foods in your diet that you could make low-cal substitutions for, or was it more of a mindset thing?

I've lost 48.8 pounds, and so far I have noticed:

My face is thinner. Double chin almost gone.

None of my bras fit because my rib circumference has shrunk.

I have knees! I legit lost them for a while.

My elbows are pointier, deadlier weapons.

    My pants keep falling off.

My butt is smaller, which is why my pants fall off.

One of my love handles is flat, but only one. :|

My collar bone is more pronounced.

I can feel my hip bones.

Soon I will have to remove my wedding ring, it's very loose.

Just one love handle? And they say we can't reduce fat - it seems out bodies bloody well can! Could you buy one of those clear rubber insert things you can get to make your ring fit despite the weight loss? Congrats on your success - and pants falling off level of weight loss is definitely success!

Photo on Left = 250 lbs (-30 lbs into my journey)
Photo on Right = 213 lbs (-67 lbs into my journey)

    SW in April 2019 = 280 lbs.
    UGW = 180 lbs.
    Age 54, Height 6'1"
In the first photo I was down 30 lbs but couldn't really see any change other than clothes fitting a little better. That all changed through the Summer!

I think I missed this one, sorry! Amazing progress!

I've noticed a few changes in the last couple of weeks, and thought it would be fun to track them. If anyone wants to join in, it'd be interesting to compare.

    F 40 years 5.7 ft
    SW 178lb @ 01.08.19
    CW 167lb
    GW 140lb
    MFP cal loss rate 1.5lb/wk
    MFP cal allowance 1340
    Lifestyle - Lightly Active
Additional exercise - swimming 6x/wk, pilates class 1x/wk

Week 1 - felt better because food intolerances no longer triggered.
    Week 2 - as above.
Week 3 - felt leggings getting loose.
Week 4 - noticeable reduction in belly and chest. Needed new leggings and swimsuit. Back into smaller bras.
Week 5 - first sign of muscle definition in thighs and stomach! Rest of clothes very baggy, holding it a bit longer to replace. Stronger and faster during swimming.

I'll repaste and add more as they happen. Would love to read yours, even if you don't know exactly when the changes occurred, or just want to start from now :)

    Just to add:

Week 6: 1st stone lost and felt definition in my calves, my "small" (not really - they're 36C) bras are starting to get ever so slightly too big, and my bum is DEFINITELY smaller :)

ETA (also Week 6): I can feel (and see!) the muscles on top of my upper legs now! Bra getting slacker by the day. Can swim 1km easily now.

So mine will be a little different as I've basically been doing a long recomp since 2015 since I'm awful at "cutting".

In 2015 I really start getting into lifting, "graduate" from the adjustable dumbbells to a barbell/plate setup in the basement. I also purchased a device called a "skulpt" it's a multi-site body fat analyzer that uses BIA but of individual muscles and creates a composite. All referenced body fat measurements are from that, accuracy is allegedly good and tested against DEXA scans during development, I take the number with a grain of salt but like to observe the trend.

    6/15/2015:
170 lbs, 18.20% ->Lean mass of 139.1 lbs, fat mass of 30.9 lbs
    7/2/2019 (most recent skulpt scan)
176 lbs, 12.3% -> Lean mass of 154.4 lbs, fat mass of 21.6 lbs

Round numbers, 15 lbs of muscle gained and 9 lbs of fat lost in a little over four years. I'm way stronger, feel healthier, and have the most comfort/confidence in my body at 30 than ever before.

    I've observed:
    - my jawline and cheekbones are more pronounced
    - I rarely have aches or pains/sleep wrong on my neck, etc. (which used to happen)
    - If I have to move something I think about how I pick thinks up differently, understanding lifting leverage
    - A good workout elevates my mood for the whole day; I used to mock the prospect of prioritizing exercise
    - I have suits that need tailoring and clothes that don't fit, both due to being too tight and too loose, depending on the area (chest has increased by 3+" and waist has dropped.
    - If I raise my arms I can clearly see serratus anterior muscles, which I thought were only a thing for superheroes and bodybuidlers
    - my posture is significantly improved
    - sitting at a desk or standing/walking all day doesn't bother my back or legs, the limiting factor is typically my shoes.
    - people tend to assume I'm younger than actual age, they used to guess older than actual age.
    - my shoulders are broader, which I don't think about until I try and fix a sink or something and can't fit in a cabinet I used to.

That was really interesting, thank you. I used to scoff at the idea of regular gym-going / exercise as well, but now I get it, and even need it. It's a truly holistic thing, not just about the body, but the mind as well. That's why I keep going back. Congrats on your transformation, and don't get stuck in any cabinets!

Over the last few years I have done it all...got stronger, gained weight, lost weight, gained muscle, lost body fat, had surgeries, setbacks, and still motivated for more! I mainly powerlift so my compound strength numbers are what I focus on. I just started focusing on how my physique looks recently and have improved already.
600lb deadlift coming soon from this 165lb errr. Lol
    😁💪🏼🏋🏻‍♂️

    Just... Wow!

Well I notice a lot of things but this one in particular is my favorite. I drive trucks for a living and the truck I'm assigned sometimes the steering wheel is extremely close to the seat. Can't change it either. You can get closer but not go back. It's an oddly designed truck cab. Anyway my fat belly used to rub on it when I drove all night or day. Used to actually hurt after a while. After 30 pounds that problem was gone. Now down 73 pounds there is 5-6 inches of space. Man is that nice.

    That's awesome!

    Hi Everyone,

This is a friendly reminder to keep your posts workplace-friendly. Please, no photos of you only wearing underwear. Sports bras and spandex are fine. I have edited a few posts to remove the underwear photos.

    The guideline in question reads:

    4. Keep it Classy (we mean your images)
    I WILL:
    • I will share my success photos and progress photos.
    • I will keep it classy by wearing tight-fitting spandex instead of my undies to show my progress.
    • I will post authentic photos that I have permission to use.
    • I will be mindful that this is a workplace friendly site. If you wouldn’t share the image with your boss or your child, please don’t post it here.

    I WON’T:
    • I won’t post hateful, violent or graphic imagery.
    • I won’t post nudity, pornography, or NSFW images.
    • I won’t post images containing profanity.
    • I won’t post political images.
    • I won’t post photos containing excessive cleavage (if you would wear it to work, it’s probably OK).
    • I won’t post close-up shots of cleavage, butt, breasts or crotch in any state of dress.
    • I won’t post photos in which hands or objects are the only bodily covering,
    • I won’t post photos in my undies (underwear, bras, lingerie, thongs, g-strings, or banana hammocks).

    The guidelines are here:
    http://www.myfitnesspal.com/welcome/guidelines

Thanks and congratulations on your progress. :flowerforyou:

    With respect,

Thought the changes / weight loss had stalled, but this evening I noticed a muscle in my arm that wasn't (visibly) there before. I rubbed my upper arm and did a double take when I felt it! Love these "little" NSVs :)

I’ve lost 29lb which makes a difference on someone as short as me (4ft 10). I have to have my car seat fully forward to reach the pedals and my stomach used to be dangerously close to the steering wheel if there had been a crash, now there’s a safe distance! I can comfortably do a shell stretch at Pilates without my stomach getting in the way. My feet are smaller (or possibly just not swollen), I have collar bones. Downside I look a bit older in my face but that’s a small price to pay. I’ve thrown out my “big” clothes, some of the ones I am wearing now are a little baggy but I still have 11 lb to lose so not buying any more until then as I’m not sure what size I’ll end up.

Well done, that's a fabulous achievement!
