"What's the use of whining?"
So many people ask.
"Just push away when dining
And walking's an easy task."
And I reply quite smartly
"That's easy for you to say,
A gnat like you can hardly
Get where I am at today."
But just you wait you troll,
I'll beat this in the end.
And when I do, you measly mole
I'll have the last laugh then!
Best I can do on short notice!5 -

Oh tiny human full of life
Why must you get on my very last nerve
To cause me so much strife?2 -
Splendid fur, soft, warm
Number three from two before
Before dawn please sleep.
No morsels you get
Before sun has crested rise

I kinda suck
Don't know if I care
I feel like I want more, but don't know what?
I'm 'kinda' aware...and kinda care...
...I think I want to
do I dare?!

I can't help but notice that you didn't comment on mine. I mean, come on. I managed, with extreme elegance and creativity, to include several issues that all of us face in a mildly passive aggressive mid life existential crisis..... Roses, Farts, Tripping People, and Wanting to take someone's Money. If anything were to bring humanity together to bond and make world peace it would be my poem.5 -

It was, it was definitely all great things. Just.. I’m not a big fan of roses.0 -
Roses are red
Covered in dew

I feel like I have escape from the other side of a long mid-life existential (all of life is really an existential crisis though, aint it?) crisis tunnel, started sometime when I had my first kid in 2009 and simultaneously switched careers and rev'd into high-gear in 2013 when my Mom died.
Now in 2019 I'm (relatively) stable, patient and legitimately pretty happy, flexible, optimistic, and best of all, present.
One hell of a road to get here though.
Sorry this aint a poem.
Oh but it was @very_californian it really was0 -

Been hurt one time too many
Left me with no more than a penny
Welcome to middle age
Time to turn the page
I still have my breath
So far have escaped death
No more time for indecision a passivity
Now it’s time to deal with the gravity
Trust is hard to find
Don’t expect reciprocation for being kind
Feel distant and alone
Sorry for the depressive tone😢

You took all my feelings and ground them like jelly.
It hurt me so bad like a pain in my belly.
It reminds me of the lies told to Baba Helly.
Cuz now I'm alone just like Cinderelly.
You lied and you cheated and we had a time.
You told me you loved me even in rhyme.
What happened to us was freakin' a crime.
But no one ever thought you'd really drop dime.
So good luck in your life with that brain damaged kid.
On his best freakin' day he can't keep up with your id.
I'm writing bad poems look how far I slid.
Look at it it, LOOK! Look at what you did.

Once I was a girl
Madly in love with all of you
Then no more, lost, alone
Time marched on slowly
Wounds licked, but never healed full
You waltz back in now
I am left unsure
Where do I stand with you now?
If a lover turned friend
Can we ever go back?
The way it once was before
Shall I always grieve
How did life turn out
So tumultuous and heavy
Why should I care still?
You left no reason
I withered, alone, listless
Moving on to another
Now I am woman
Child no more, fierce and loud
Fear me, I become war5
