CICO works very well, especially when you don't prepare your own food.

I'm a former Marine...IDK...I was a double rat in boot and ate like a horse in fleet and had a hard time keeping meat on my bones.

Nutrition is important to your health. I would encourage you to ask your sergeant for a gluten-free, plant-based diet.

honestly of all the chow halls i've eaten in - marines was one of the better - focus on non-fried foods; vegetables etc

Chicken breast and salad. If you're in the field, avoid that unnecessary *kitten* like mre cheese, bread, and cookies. But the jalapeno cheese is bomb. Can't blame you for eating that.
