Struggles: Clothes. I have no shirts I can work out in any more. I mean it's a good problem to have I guess, but man it still stinks. Might have to try to buy my first size small, though I worry about feeling exposed in tight shirts. I dont know my real size anymore. j4ahlm8m1285.jpg Shirt on the right is a medium. Is it too big?

First -- nice transformation to the new you!

Good luck finding right-sized clothes. There seems to be no "standard" for what a size is anymore. I think they've been getting bigger, too. If you shop at thrift stores, the older size mediums are closer to modern small, at least in some shirts. And then there's athletic, slim, regular, and relaxed fit. Some folks like things baggier, and some not so much. I've got some size M shirts that are way too big and some that fit right. I won a shirt in a raffle and was surprised to see it's a size S, and I can actually wear it, typically under a button-up shirt, though.

I have a SportTek shirt from an event a couple years ago, and it's baggy like yours. I think it's just how it's cut. I have a whole bunch of button-up shirts I wear to work. Many fit nicely, and others are more like tents. They all say the same size.

I'm a little shorter than you are, but probably about the same BMI. I've also got a couple decades on ya... I think you'd be disappointed if you bought small shirts. I almost returned a size medium fleece coat I bought recently to trade for a small, but the small wouldn't let me layer much under it. We need tailors.

Update: bought a small running tank from brooks. It fit. Guess I can fit in some smalls now. What is this life? :p

That's great! Maybe I should expand the sizes I look at.

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: after two weeks of visiting friends and family, eating out a lot and being away from both my food scale and people scale, I was quite surprised to get back and see a loss. I logged my food the entire time, but only by using estimates, made more difficult by eating out and other people doing the cooking. I did get in a lot of walking most days so that is helpful. It’s very encouraging to me that I can do this maintenance thing if I stay focused!

    Have a great week everyone

HEAVIEST weight: 175.4 in early 2013.
    Total Weight lost: 30 pounds
Time it took to lose: ~6 months
How long in maintenance: Since July 2018 -- but with some fluctuation outside of goal range.
Maintenance weight range: 142 - 148 (and not sure that's the right answer)

Average weight recorded from 2017 (12 months): 163.8
Average weight recorded from 2018 (12 months): 150.7

Average weight recorded from January: 148.4
Average weight recorded from February: 146.3
Average weight recorded from March: 143.2
Average weight recorded from April: 143.0
Average weight recorded from May: 144.1
Average weight recorded from June: 145.6
Average weight recorded from July: 146.5
Average weight recorded from August: 145.8

    Average weight Week of...
    September 2 - 8: 145.3
    September 9 - 15: 144.0
    September 16 - 22: 142.7
    September 23 - 29: 141.5
    September 30 - October 6:

Success of the week: I have been toying with increasing my maintenance range a while ago mostly because I was bouncing against the ceiling. I was going to change it from 142-148 to 140-150. Now I'm thinking it's a good idea because I've gone below the floor. I'm ok with this. My scale weight yesterday was the lowest I have seen in my adult life, but I am dealing with a little illness, so I am glad to see 1.4 pounds came back overnight. Whew.

Struggle of the week: Some weird GI illness that wasn't fun.

I might post back here next week since the last of the month isn't until tomorrow, or maybe I'll just switch to the October check-in when it gets posted. My progress this quarter:

    September 16th: away
    September 23rd: away
    September 30th: 47.9 kg (105.6 lb)

Success(es)/struggles. The holiday was great – cycling, swimming, sightseeing, beer, wine, ice cream and cakes! The first weigh-in after I got home was just under 49 kg but now I’m back pretty much where I was before I went away. That is a huge success but actually, I think I need to be over 48 kg.
Like @amckholmes , I logged my food every day using estimates. We had a self catering apartment so we made our own breakfast and lunches, ate out for dinner every day. I was able to log quite a lot of food from barcodes on labels thanks to the worldwide membership of MFP. Lots of the labels on Greek packets and tins were found by the barcode scanner.
For me, exercise and general activity levels are key to being able to have those treats so I would say to @missperfectpitch , one weekend won't spoil your progress, especially if you can keep active. Enjoy the break, we all deserve holidays.

    Sept 15: 157.2 Trend: 156.9
My maintenance weight might be “finding me.” We’ll see! Watching carefully. I keep creeping up verrry slightly...
Hoping by 6-month mark of Oct 25, I’ve definitely stopped it & sloping down slowly. Taking a very long view, ie, rest of my life.

    Sept 22: 156.6 Trend: 156.1
    Sept 30: 157 Trend 156.7

    Success(es):
    1) My average weight for September is less than August’s!!! Given that it was going up 0.6-2.3 lbs a month, I’m delighted - even with a fractional decrease!

    Finally.
    First time since Feb 2019.
    A HUGE deal for me❣️
    I finally reversed the trend.
It might take me a few years to get to 155, but I’m ok with that. I’m Maintaining. A miracle.

    2) Cut my CI by 76 a day.😁

    3) Finding balance.

    4) Hunger is no longer an issue. Water. Reduced “hard core” exercising.

    Struggles:
    1. ankle. Need to get referral to ankle specialist.

Thoughts: Once I get solidly back to 155, I will shift my maintenance Range to 155-157. If I can’t get back to 155 with the weightlifting, I’ll figure it out.

    Have a great week!

    September 22nd: 160.4 (trend 161.1)
    September 29th: 162.8 (trend 161.6)

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: Weight appears to be trending up towards the bottom of my range. I'm not getting in the amount of strength training I'd like; still, I'm hoping that it's enough to maintain muscle mass while I take care of other priorities. My calories were where they should be for the week, but that masks some massive variation from day to day that I need to nip in the bud.

    Have a great week, everyone!
