Hi Ladies! I attempted to do Cathe’s live workout with her today, which was Double HiiT Cardio Compound. I say ‘attempted’ because for a short workout.....I was interrupted three times doing it! And, of course, since it was live, no pause button. So I did as much as I could, and then added on the Blizzard Blast from ICE Metabolic Total Body, just for good measure. I finished it with LITE Pyramid Pump Lower Body.

Erika, Happy Anniversary!! Glad you were able to enjoy an evening out. Winter is coming on fast, though we can only really tell right now due to the shorter daylight hours and leaves falling. I don’t blame you for wanting the snow to hold off a long as possible. My DH is back in Alaska for a few days, where it is snowing. I am thinking I am quite happy to be sitting on my deck every evening right now. :D

Thelma, I am sorry to hear about the painful workout. No doubt you are frustrated because it has been non-stop pain for you for months. It does take awhile for the blood to thicken up after the hot, humid summer for sure. But it does! I agree with you, though, because the 65 degrees we had the other day felt pretty chilly to me.

Laurie, great workout. Yay for the physical results. I hope your mom is okay from her surgery. I am sure she appreciates you going up there. I don’t know what it is about age and crankiness. Thankfully it doesn’t seem to happen to everybody. My mom, for instance, was much happier in her 70s than in her 40s. But I had a grandmother who was just not a happy person (as much as I hate to say that) but would tell stories about her carefree youth (which is the only time I saw her laugh). I know want to be like my mom.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies, today I did Yin/Yang and Barre classes. The Barre class was perfect for my back because it was mostly standing work.

OMG! I almost forgot to tell you! A lady at the yoga studio got locked up in the bathroom right after I used it. Somehow the lock broke and the knob wouldn't turn. It was as if it was locked still. The owner's husband had to break the door in order to get the lady out. She was a good sport and we were all laughing at the end. I could've been the one locked up in there!

I will miss my Barre class on Monday because I have an appointment with my rheumatologist. It's a follow-up appointment.
On Tuesday I'm going to see an ENT about my ears. My Eustachian tubes are bothering me for the first time ever. I read that it was called Eustachian tube dysfunction. It sounds like I have crinkly paper inside my ear. At first, I thought I had a bug in there but it didn't hurt. I would just hear this sound whenever I moved my head. The sound went away in one ear and it started on the other. No pain thankfully but I feel something isn't right with my ear. Better safe than sorry! I'm a mess! It really sucks to be me these days.

Much cooler today and no rain. The International Space Station went over BR tonight again and we had the perfect view from our deck. Cool stuff!

Did you get Cathe's email today? She is working on a step series called Step Boss. 2 out of the 3 workouts sound really nice but the choreographed one is not for me.

Going for a haircut tomorrow with a new hairstylist. I've lost a lot of hair and my once thick, curly hair is now very fine. I just don't even know what can be done for my hair at this point.

We are meeting our friends tomorrow as we do every Friday at a local restaurant. No other plans for the weekend so far but we may go to a farm to see a 370 lb pumpkin called Chuck! LOL
My BIL is coming for a long weekend next Thursday so we will be busy that weekend. It should be fun!

Laurie, great workout today and congrats on the good physical exam!
So glad you live near your mom so you can go help her this weekend. I hope you don't get a lot of snow at your parents' though. It is tough getting old, some people become crabby and others become children like.

Yesterday's workout was taxing on my lower back. Today's was really good. I have to be very careful of floor work for sure.

Laurel, great job with those workouts! Did you have internet problems? I had a couple of hickups today.
I am really frustrated with all the non-stop health issues. The most frustrating part is the pain issues for sure.
It doesn't feel like our blood is going to thicken up any time soon! LOL. I'm telling you, temps in the 60's feel like temps in the teens!

Goodnight ladies and have a wonderful weekend!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was LITE Pyramid Pump Upper Body followed by a 45 minute 80s Rock ride from Peloton. This spin class was SO much fun. My legs were sore from yesterday and I really wondered about spinning.....but all those old 80s tunes made me feel 20 again! :D;)

Thelma, I am glad the barre class worked for you. Bet it felt good to feel like you could do a workout like that without modification. I am glad you are going to see both your rheumatologist and an ENT specialist. Inner ear issues like that should be looked at, especially since the ear is so key to balance. Hoping for good, useful news from both appointments. I am with you on the hair loss and fine hair. One of the reasons I am doing these keratin treatments is so I can let my hair dry naturally, which I think will make my hair much healthier. The next step will be to stop coloring it, which will also make it much healthier. But as much as I want to do that.....I also know I am not quite ready for it. B) Yes, I was having internet issues yesterday. That was two of my workout interruptions. I am getting pretty frustrated, but I think I just have to accept it for what it is right now. I am just glad we didn’t opt for streaming TV. We are supposed to have rain tomorrow and highs in the 60s!! I can’t wait.....but I will need a jacket for sure.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Hi Ladies ~ Happy Fri-YAY!! For some reason my afternoon’s have been really busy and I haven’t been able to check in. Remainder of the week of workouts were:
Tuesday: XT Legs + Peloton (45 min Tabata)
    Wednesday: XT Ch/Shoulders + Abs
    Thursday: XT Back/Bi’s + Abwork
Today will be a Peloton ride when I get home.

Tomorrow will be LITE Pyramid – try to stagger the Upper and the Lower since I missed this a.m. Volleyball starts on Sunday. It feels like forever since I played it should be interesting. LOL

Laurel: Fabulous job on the workouts! I have done a couple of the 80's rides. They are SO fun. The music just comes right back to you doesn't it?!?! Just love the Peloton workouts. Have you seen any clips or anything yet on the Step Boss workouts? I saw photos of the PHA one and I am excited forsure on that one. Nervous for the others ..... choreography. Fingers crossed they will be doable for me.

Thelma: I am glad your back was ok with the Barre workout. Our temps have been down to the 20's this week and only heating up to 40's. We even woke up to snow on the ground Wednesday. WHAT?!?

You ladies have a nice weekend. Next week I am going to plan on checking in the a.m. when I have things going on during my lunch.

    Morning Ladies,

We had a really nice weekend with my parents, and my Moms surgery went really well. She is going to be going in on Thursday of this week to have the other eye taken care of. My brother will be taking care of her for that one. We had snow all weekend, but it didn't stick around. On the way home we did have to drive through a snow storm, that was pretty wild. The colors where beautiful also. I didn't workout at all through the weekend, and this morning I did Kelly's RAW Back & Biceps. This workout is a new one, and she did 2 exercises for each muscle group. The back was 5 sets of 10 reps, and the bi's where 5 sets of 8.

Laurel, Awesome job on all your workouts! Sorry to hear that you had to stop and start that workout, not fun. I'm hoping that I also will be like my Mom when I get older. My Dad was not crabby this weekend, but he really is moving slow. I will have to go take a look at the pictures, I saw one photo where she appears to be using the step riser's for the exercise.

Thelma, Good job with the barre work. Hope all goes well with the appointment for your ear. That is one big pumpkin. My uncle came by my parents house to give me a very old window pane (using for a project), and he also gave my mom some pumpkins for canning. He said that they where not big, but they had good meat inside. I can't wait to taste some good pumpkin pie made with it. ;)

Tami, Great workouts! Hope that you had a good time at volleyball. I'm sure that you will do well with the new workouts.

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Hope you all enjoyed the weekend. DH was supposed to be gone all weekend but actually made it home for Saturday night and yesterday before heading out on another trip today. We are experiencing lovely fall weather so we did get to golf yesterday which was a really nice bonus on a weekend when we thought we weren’t even going to see each other. I had to rake leaves on Saturday and my windows are open....so autumn has arrived! We still need some rain, though.

For workouts, on Saturday I did a 30 yoga session from the Peloton app. I don’t know what it is but I found one instructor who I just ‘click’ with. This was the second class of hers I did. Not difficult but also feels good on the body and I love her music. Truly have enjoyed these two classes of hers I have done for sure. Yesterday was XT Cardio Leg Blast into Fit/Split Shred Cardio (cardio only), which made for a tough workout. Today was XT Chest/Back/Shoulders and Core 1 followed by Cathe Live Cardio Kickboxing and Cardio Barre.

Tami, great workouts!! I don’t know about you, but I am loving these XT workouts right now. I was thinking this morning about moving on to STS next week and thinking ‘I don’t want to!’.....but I will. These XT workouts just fly by for me for some reason. I haven’t seen any clips of the new workouts yet....just photos. I know she posted the approximate times for the three workouts and two (PHA and choreography) were surprisingly close to an hour (over 50 minutes that is). She hasn’t done too many workouts that long in a little while. The IMAX one is closer to 45 minutes I believe. She did say the 20 minute ‘bonus’ step section of less choreography on the choreography workout DVD may be the hidden gem of the series, so I am curious about that. It’s hard to tell from photos, but they do look good from what I’ve seen so far.

Laurie, I am glad your weekend went well and your mom is doing okay. I am also glad you didn’t have too many issues with the snow. Sounds like a great workout today. I too saw that Cathe is using risers for the core workouts. I am going to be curious about that as I only have two risers (for the long step) since my long step is actually a Reebok step where everything fastens in. I have these two risers for the step I use when we move, which is shorter (and fits in the car better. :) ). But maybe my tall step risers will work even if they are bigger. I suppose we’ll find out soon enough!!

    See you tomorrow!

Hi Ladies, DH and I had a good weekend. We went to a country fair which was a lot of fun. It was at a huge park so we walked around their walking trails and that was our workout. No workout on Sunday. On Friday I did the restorative yoga class and today I did a Jessica Smith cardio workout.
The temperature this morning was 46!!!

I saw my rheumatologist today. My labs showed numbers were high which means the diseases are not controlled yet. This explains why I keep having flareups. I thought I was doing myself a good thing by suffering through the flareups without taking pain meds. Turns out every flareup is damaging my bones. So today the doctor offered multiple treatment choices. One involved injecting myself which I don't think I can do. Another one is getting infusions at the hospital, and the other choices were increasing the chemo or taking a pill. I chose to take the new pill. I don't even know if our insurance will approve it because it's seriously expensive. If this med works, we may be able to stop the chemo.
    I see the ENT tomorrow.

Laurel, awesome workouts! Those Peloton workouts sound great!
It really felt good to be able to do the barre workout. Thanks so much for those good wishes for my medical appointments.
I understand what you're saying about getting my ears checked.

Internet issues seem to be a way of life in this area, unfortunately.

Tami, great workouts! I can't believe you started your Volleyball season already!
Your temps are definitely cold. Snow already! Wow!
The Step Boss PHA workout does look good. I don't care for the choreographed ones. I may buy individual workouts but not an entire series.

Laurie, so glad you had a nice weekend and that your mom's surgery went well! I'm sure she'll do well next week too.
I just can't believe you are also getting snow already! I bet the fall colors are gorgeous. We hardly have anything here given the drought we're in. There are a few trees that turned red but it's nothing compared to the sea of green trees. Most leaves are just turning brown and falling off the trees.

I can't wait to hear what the ENT tells me. I really think this is being caused by acid reflux. Of course today my ear feels fine!
We never went to see Chuck the pumpkin. I doubt we'll see it next weekend either because my BIL will be here. Maybe next year.
I bet those pumpkin pies made with fresh pumpkins will be delicious! Someone was selling pumpkin bread at the fair. I got a little sample and you could tell it was made with fresh pumpkin.
What are you making with the old window pane?

    Goodnight ladies!

    Morning Ladies,

This morning was GHUTV Kettlebell/Cardio. I wanted to do a kettlebell workout, and this one really did fit well with my frame of mind.

Laurel, Sounds like a great combo of workouts, and your leg day really does sound tough. Nice that you have found an instructor that you enjoy for the yoga. I would think the risers that you have would be good for doing those core moves, or you can just use a weight. I do think that the tall step risers are the same size as the regular step, I also have the reebok one, but have the high step. When will the DVD's be shipping out, did that get announced? Since I have not ordered them, I have not been paying attention. :o

Thelma, Your weekend sounds wonderful, and great job on your workouts. Dang on the results for your RA. I would never be able to inject myself either. Probably comes from people like the lady that I had for my blood work for my physical. I have a huge bruise on my arm. I think my doctor was disappointed that the tech that has a lot of experience wasn't there. Now I know why. :/ Sorry to hear that the leaves are not giving spectacular color, we have had a lot of rain this year, so the colors are beautiful. The window pane is going to be displaying my Mom's doily creations, and I'm gifting it to my niece who is getting married in June. She has the farmhouse theme in her home, and I thought this would be a great way for her to have something special from her Grandmother. The pane has the perfect patina. My Mom was hesitant at first, but once she saw the pane, she was on board with gusto. I asked her to make a few small ones, and by the time we got home and I called her, she had one already made. :D

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was a 45 minute Peloton Climb Ride followed by Ruah Mind/Body Movement Release workout. This latter workout was a really nice combo of strength and stretch. Love these Tuesday spin/stretch combos I have been doing.

Thelma, I am sorry about the news from the rheumatologist, but I am glad you have some answers about the cause behind the flare-ups. Hopefully this new pill fixes the problem. The way you described your leaves is exactly what we are experiencing here. Just not a pretty autumn, that’s for sure. We had quite a bit more color last year, even if it was mostly yellows. But this year.....just brown. We had those temperatures in the morning this weekend! I went to bed Friday night and it was still in the mid-70s. Got up on Saturday and it was 43!! Of course I decided to open the windows because it was the first time in five months the temp outside was cooler than inside. It got chilly in here pretty quickly! :p But the fresh air felt so nice.

Laurie, great workout!! DH is up in Michigan this week, and he was talking about how pretty the colors are there. Glad you are enjoying a pretty fall. Cathe hasn’t announced a shipping date yet. She is usually a little better about letting people know where they are in the project post-filming than she has been with this series. I wonder if her doing the Daytona Road Trip in a couple of weeks is taking some of her attention from posting updates. But she did say they have started editing, so they are working on them. Since she is also saying the pre-sale ends soon, I would imagine they may be shipped around the first of December or so.

I will try to post tomorrow, but I am getting another Keratin treatment on my hair and also going to have her straighten it a bit. It sounds like it will be quite a marathon appointment! So if I am not here, I am lost at Ulta!! :D

Hi Ladies ~ I had a nice weekend. It was productive and good workouts all in one. Saturday I ended up doing the Pyramid Legs workout and then Sunday I did Rockout Knockout prior to leaving for Volleyball. KB workouts are always a good “warm up” before volleyball for my shoulders, legs, whole body. Volleyball was fun, but strange that we have 2 teams playing at the same time. In a couple weeks we play each other …. Our team won 4 out of 6 and I played with all the "young bucks". Let’s just say I am old enough or older than all of their mothers. YIKES, made me feel old. :D But they are great ladies and it was a lot of fun.

Yesterday I ended up doing LITE Metabolic Blast followed by a 45 min Peloton ride. Today, XT Cardio Leg Blast and hopefully my “Tuesday Tabata” ride after work.

Laurel: Excellent job on your workouts!!!! I am a little behind you each week and I have been doing my Leg day on Saturday instead of Sunday. Last Saturday I wondered if my legs would be crazy sore ... they were sore but not like the time before when I did that one. I LOVE the workout so much though. Sounds like beautiful weather you are having. Ours has shaped up a little bit for a few days and we are headed into a bunch of rain. But I know moisture is always needed. Which instructor did you do the Peloton Yoga with? I have thought about trying one of those as well? I know Kristin McGee is a Yoga instructor for them and years ago I did a few of her Pilates workouts which I enjoyed. I absolutely agree on how fast those XT workouts go. I love the strength in them as well and how she has put them together. I forget when I haven’t revisited a workout program how good they are. (always what we say, but still true). Thank you for the feedback on what you have read so far for the Step Boss program. I will plan on continuing into STS with you ;) it's been a while and I can use that strength training as well. Yikes on the push-ups!

Laurie: Nice to hear you had a good weekend! Great job with the workouts as well. Happy your mom is doing good. Thank you for the encouragement on our Volleyball and the new workouts! Really looking forward to the PHA one forsure.

Thelma: Your weekend sounds very nice! I bet the country fair was a lot of fun. Way to go with your continued push through your yoga, walking and barre workouts despite your flare ups. I am sure that was a bit shocking to hear about pushing through the flare ups …. Prayers for the right answers for you and remedies to help Thelma friend.

Have a great afternoon/evening ladies ~ talk to you tomorrow! OH, DH comes home this Friday!!!!

Hi Ladies, I did barre at the church today. The instructor did abs with the squishy ball behind the lower back. Again, I was not able to do that because my tailbone hurt. I modified by doing crunches. So far this is the thing that bothers me the most. I was able to walk two miles at the local at the track and that felt good. My sacrum was a little achy but I thought walking would help loosen things up. I'm so happy I was able to do these two workouts!

My appointment with the ENT was very educational and scary. I was right in that the sinus and ear problems have to do with acid reflux. The scary part is that I could lose my hearing. He said my Eustachian tube is starting to go flat which is what happens when you lose your hearing. I don't feel like I've lost hearing but I definitely feel pressure there. I am going for a hearing test next week and they will measure the pressure I have there I guess.
The doctor said all of my health issues are a result of this esophageal reflux. I'm talking about Lupus, RA and now my ears. The doctor reminded me that I should not eat anything late in the day. When he said late in the day he meant nothing after 2 PM because it takes the stomach about 8 hours to empty out. As we get older it may even take the stomach longer to digest food. The analogy he used was that of a blender full of food being blended and if you took the lead off while it's going, the food would go all over the place. This is exactly what he says is happening to my body. The acid is going everywhere. I told him that I started to fall apart when I moved here. He said it's not that you moved here. It's the progression of the disease. So basically I have the power to make myself better. Today I was done with dinner at 3:45. The only part that stinks about this is in social situations. Of course, now that I have a social life this happens. On Fridays, we eat dinner out. This Saturday we're going to a dinner party!
I am determined to follow the doctor's instructions about my eating schedule. He said that breakfast should be like a five-course meal. Lunch a little less and dinner even less food.
One more thing! I told the doctor that I was sleeping propped up with pillows. He said that wasn't going to help because the throat muscles relax when you go to sleep, the stomach keeps working and acid continues to escape. So much makes sense now!

Laurie, good for you for listening to what your body needed workout wise this morning!
OMG with the bruise! I had a woman go right through my vein years ago. I almost fainted! Last week my rheumatology brought her own phlebotomist to town with her. I asked her to use a small needle and she said we will see. I should've walked out right there and then. She used a 21 gauge needle which is standard but too big for me. I jumped when the needle went in and when it went out. I had to go for more blood work yesterday and I went to a local lab. The lady there is great. She used a 23 gauge needle and I hardly felt it going in and didn't feel it going out!

Laurie, that windowpane wedding gift sounds beautiful and it will be full of lovely memories! How sweet of your mom to have finished the doilies already!

    Laurel, great workout combo!!
I hope the new pill and diet changes will help me with everything I have going on. Definitely not a pretty autumn :(
Thursday and Friday night the temps will drop into the high 30's!
LOL! I bet you got pretty chilly when you opened the windows the other day! DH is ready to turn the heat on! Crazy! I added two blankets to our bed and that feels so good at night but heat? I'm not ready for that. I asked him if he was cold in bed. He said no but that he was very cold as soon as he got out of bed.

Have fun with that hair treatment marathon appointment! I can't wait to hear how it turned out!

Tami, glad you had a nice weekend. Congrats on the VV wins! I bet you did much better than a lot of those 'young bucks" you played with! Awesome workouts!!

Our weekend was really nice. We were at the park for the biscuit eating contest! LOL. My BIL will be here this weekend and I told DH we should go back to the fair and sign my BIL up for the biscuit eating contest! LOL
It was a big shock to hear the doctor tell me that pushing through the flare-ups was not very helpful. Thanks so much for the prayers for the right answers and remedies.

    Goodnight ladies!

    Morning Ladies,

Workout was GHUTV Bodyweight Circuit Breaker, really enjoyed this one since I didn't have to lift a weight. ;)

Laurel, Nice that you had another great cycle/stretching combo. I have scheduled in a yoga workout for Friday, so that will be me kicking myself into yoga gear. I'm planning on doing the GHUTV Buff Body Yoga workout tomorrow, but if I remember the workout incorporated weights also. You are probably correct on Cathe being busy, she seems to be on the go all the time. Enjoy your hair day!

Tami, Great job on your workouts! Congrats on the wins also. LOL about your age vs. the other members of your team. It must be fun knowing that you can keep up with those ladies. Now that you mentioned Kristin McGee, I'm tempted to pull out one of her yoga workouts for Friday. I have always loved her yoga a pilates workouts.

Thelma, Love that you where able to get your workout in, but sorry to hear that your tailbone is still bothering you. Oh my on the ENT information! Sounds like his solution is intermediate fasting, but it really sucks that you have to end your eating at that time of the day. The lab tech said that my vein was small. That is the first time that I have had anyone say that, and this is the first time that I have ever had this big of a bruise. It actually still hurt yesterday. :/

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies, today I did Beginner/Gentle Yoga and sculpted-Movement Fusion.
We had some rain early this morning. Everyone in town was thanking the Lord! The temp tomorrow morning will be 38 according to my weather app.

My BIL will be visiting starting tomorrow night for a long weekend. It should be fun. We've been invited to a dinner party on Saturday. This will not be good for my stomach.

Eating dinner early hasn't been bad at all for me. It must be because I'm scared to lose my hearing so it doesn't feel bad. Surprisingly, I'm not hungry in the evening. I woke up two lbs lighter today, so this is an added bonus. I also feel that my stomach and the acidity felt better today. It will take a little while for my stomach to calm down and any irritation to heal too.

I don't know if any of you ever eat pasta but I've had a huge pasta craving since yesterday. I can't remember the last time I ate pasta. I found this Skinnytaste recipe and it was pretty amazing!
    https://www.skinnytaste.com/pasta-with-butternut-sauce-spicy/

I used turkey sweet sausage because that is all I could find here. I added red pepper flakes for the spicy part.

Laurie, sound like you chose a nice workout today!
Hopefully, my tailbone will get better soon. It really sucks that I have to finish eating so early in the day.
I've been told I have small, slippery veins and to ask for small needles. Gauge 23 is the way to go Laurie! Sounds like your vein was bruised and possibly a little internal bleeding

    Goodnight ladies!

    Morning Ladies,

The GHUTV Buff Body Yoga 2 workout was a good one, and it incorporated yoga, cardio and weights. All of it yoga inspired, so my legs are really talking to me right now. ;)

Thelma, Great job on the yoga fusion. Yay for rain! This year we have had so much, that I'm okay with not seeing any for a while. :D Have a great time with your BIL this weekend. Awesome news on the weight loss, but dang on your the dinner party and the eating situation. Interesting recipe, I love butternut squash. Have never tried it in a pasta sauce yet. Probably a really good way to get those veggies into a meal. Thanks for the information on the needle size, because I really don't want to go through that again.

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Sorry I missed you yesterday but it was a pretty long appointment. Everything went well. I am anxious to wash my hair and let it dry naturally to see how much of an impact it made. Workouts yesterday were XTrain Bi’s and Tri’s followed by Cathe Live Move It. Today, once again, I threw my planned workout out at the last minute and did Cathe’s live class with her again today. It was Plyo Legs Day, which wasn’t too far off my plan since today was a lower body day for me. I followed it up with Cathe Live 200 and a 10 minute core strength workout from Peloton.

Tami, great workouts! As you can tell from today, I am not sticking like glue to the rotation plan either. I think of it more as a guide than a schedule. :) Sometimes our workout connection is a little eerie because the yoga instructor I like.....is Kristen McGee. So weird that you already are familiar with her!! I just love her clear guidance and no nonsense but incredibly pleasant approach. And I like her music selection as well. I have only done two of her beginner yoga routines, but both of them I ended thinking ‘that was really enjoyable’. Glad the volleyball went well even though a little different. Bet it feels good to back at that.

Thelma, what interesting information from your ENT! I have never heard about that and acid reflux at all. Thank you for sharing that info because my DH suffers from acid reflux. If he starts complaining about noise in his ears, I will have this to share with him. The eating schedule seems strict but it makes a lot of sense. If it makes you feel better and retains your hearing, it is definitely worth it. Great job with your workouts. Like you, we are enjoying cooler mornings but, so far, have stayed a little above 40 degrees. I have my fingers crossed for more rain this weekend, but today we have bright blue skies. So nice to see the sky without the haze of humidity for sure.

Laurie, great workouts. I really like the sound of that yoga workout. Right now I am trying to do one traditional and one non-traditional or more athletic yoga-style workout a week, and I am really enjoying it. I can’t believe that you, too, know Kristen McGee! I had never heard of her and tried her Peloton workout on a whim. Now I have to go look for some of her other workouts I guess. :D:p

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies ~ So Tuesday was XT Cardio Leg Blast and no Peloton ride. I forgot about the “cardio” factor in that one. LOL Yesterday was XT Ch/Back/Shoulders and today XT Bis/Tris + Peloton ride after work! Yaaas. DH thought he would make it home tonight but still looking like tomorrow. Just has too much to do to try and hurry and pack plus he is tired. Will be good to have him back.

Laurel: Awesome job on the workouts! That is so funny that I mentioned Kristin’s name and that is the one you said. WOW. We do think alike so often. Yes, her Pilates workout I have I thoroughly enjoyed when I used to do it. Now with your feedback, maybe that is the one I will try. I like that our rotation is “flexible” like always. It does feel good to be back at it with Volleyball and see those ladies.

Laurie: Great job! That workout sounds really good. Is that KCM?

Thelma: Excellent getting in your Yoga and Fusion workout. Thank you for that recipe, looks so good! YUM.

Have a great afternoon/evening ladies ~ talk to you tomorrow! OH, DH comes home this Friday!!!!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was LITE Pyramid Upper Body and Abs #1, followed by a 45 minute spin from Peloton. I went as heavy as I could on that upper body workout in prep for next week’s STS workouts. It felt really good! I really love the LITE strength workouts. She packed so much in to a short period of time.

Tami, great workouts! Got to love the XT Cardio Leg Blast!! :) I really like that Peloton has 30 minute yoga workouts because for me that is about as long as I want to do yoga. :) I think my problem is that I own too many yoga workouts that are in the 45-60 minute range, which are great every now and again. But I have no dread factor for 30 minutes of yoga once a week. I am still hoping some day I will develop a true love for yoga but even now I am more inclined to want to Pilates or a fusion workout than straight yoga. So I am happy I found an instructor I enjoy....and one that does Pilates too! I looked at one of her Pilates classes on YouTube today..... :o . I think I want to try it soon! :D Hope your DH makes it home safely.

    Enjoy the weekend!

    Morning Ladies,

Sorry I was not on Friday, but I was busy from start to finish. Love those type of days, they tend to go very fast. Anyway I had a really nice weekend. I got one of my sewing projects done, and the other one almost done. On Saturday I fixed the churches altar parament, it was sagging and had more material in the front than the back. I was happy that I didn't ruin it, since it was needed for church service this Sunday. :o On Sunday I spent a major part of my day wrestling with a quilt. The quilt top was made by a lady that my mom knew. My mom doesn't want to sew anymore, so I took the supplies home and started to quilt it with my sewing machine. The worst part is the weight of the quilt, so I felt that I got a really good workout yesterday just moving that thing around and around.... :D

So I did Kristen McGee's Power Yoga on Friday, and really did enjoy that one. No workout on Saturday, and of course Sunday was wrestling match. This morning was Strong & Sweaty Bootcamp, and it was sweaty. I used an 8 inch step, but did the modifications.

Laurel, Love all the workouts, and I agree with you on the LITE workouts. I'm going to use the SS and Lite Rotation from the user guide, I love both those series of workouts. I have a few of Kristen's yoga workouts. Two of them are from when she did some MTV workouts. They are a little strange as far as background, but really good workouts. She also has some youtube workouts. I actually just looked at youtube and one of the mtv workouts is on there. :D I will have to look at her pilates workouts on youtube.

Tami, Nice XTrain workouts! That yoga workout is one of the workouts from the Get Healthy U TV on line workouts. It is a good one, my upper body was talking to me on Friday, and I was really iffy on actually trying yoga because of that. You might want to try a workout that Jessica Smith has on her youtube site. It is a pilates & yoga workout.

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Hope you had a nice weekend. We trusted the weather forecast on Saturday which called for a slight chance of a passing rain shower and went golfing. Never trust a forecast because it started raining the minute we got to the course and was still raining when we left. We only played 16 holes because by then, we were soaked through. But it was worth the trip out there for no other reason than DH got his first ever hole-in-one! The course even gave him a nice certificate. He is still very pleased with himself about that. :) I don’t blame him either!! Yesterday we did a lot around the house. We are headed to Florida on Friday. My in-laws, despite not selling their house yet, have decided to move to Missouri at Thanksgiving. So we are going down there to help them pack and then bring back their dining table and hutch here. Who knew getting a new dining table would cause a total rearrangement of the house.....but it did! :o But my MIL is so happy that somebody in the family is taking this furniture, so it was worth it. We even found a good home for our current table, which is actually a little tough for me to get rid of. But knowing it is going to somebody who appreciates it makes me happy.

For workouts, on Saturday I did Jessica Smith Feel Good Fusion into a 30 minute intermediate yoga from Peloton and Kristin McGee. Yesterday was STS Disc 3/Legs followed by Cathe Live Cross Fire Quick Fox Plus Core. Today was STS Disc 1/Chest, Shoulders and Biceps followed by Muscle Max Abs and a 45 minute spin from Peloton. I am rearranging my workouts a bit this week to accommodate for the weekend in Florida. I was a little uncertain about putting spin today after doing STS Legs yesterday but once I got going, I was fine. We’ll see if I am saying that after I sit down a little later. :p

Laurie, sounds like a great weekend doing projects! I so wish I had the patience to quilt. Great workouts! I am glad you enjoyed the Power Yoga. I saw that one on Amazon and am talking myself out of buying DVDs when I am paying for a monthly subscription to Peloton! But I think I will try the YouTube works from her because I really enjoy her style. I love the sound of your new rotation. I think it will make for a great blend of intensity/impact levels. I have found that varying my intensity over the last few weeks has really helped with my overall energy levels. Sometimes less really is more because with that I find I give more energy to all of my workouts.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies ~ I was signing in to catch up with you ladies on Friday and my supervisor popped in to tell me I could leave early …. Only an hour but still, it was nice. She knew DH was home and told me to just get out of here so I could spend a little more time with him, super nice of her. I knew he would be busy unpacking and not really visiting but leaving early is leaving early so I took it! ;)

Weekend was good. I ended up not getting in my normal Peloton ride on Friday after work since I was helping DH get unpacked and laundry. So Saturday I did the LITE Pyramid Upper & Lower TimeSaver Total Body workout followed by a Peloton ride. Saturday evening a friend of DH’s invited us over for dinner to watch the Yankees game ….. what a sad game for DH ~ we really thought they were going to pull out a win there but no such luck. Of course he is rooting for the Nationals now to win the world series. Yesterday I swapped out doing legs and did Upper Body instead so STS #1 (Chest/Shoulders/Bis) and then headed to Volleyball. It was fun again this week but strange because our two teams played each other. For the first time in 16 years one of the ladies who I have played “with” we played “against” one another. But it was all in fun. They beat us 2 out of 3 and then in our next match we played a different team and won 2 out of 3. Heading back to the gym tonight for BootCamp after work. I know there will be some comments from Katy but I am used to that after being gone. A simple “nice to see you” would be great. :D

Laurie: Great to hear you were so busy at work the days flew by …. I am back to doing a lot of “same ol” same ol” things, which makes my days go slooooooooooow again. I do some miscellaneous projects here and there but otherwise a little boring. Oh well. Your quilt project sounds like it is a tough one? My MIL used to quilt all the time and loved it but said it can be quite a challenge. She doesn’t do it nearly as much now due to her poor eyesight but does still enjoy it here and there. Great job getting in the Kristen McGee Power Yoga …. Was it all that talk of her that brought her back to your mind? LOL Excellent job with the S&S BootCamp workout as well. I think your LITE/SS rotation she has in the user guide will be SO good. I love both of those programs as well. Thank you for the recommendation of JS on YouTube. I think I would like the combo of both.

Laurel: I love that you are fully taking advantage of your Peloton workouts and enjoying the Spinning so much as well. YAY Your weather sounds like ours although you are probably a lot warmer than us. We had a very dreary/rainy weekend forsure but it was ok since I was planning on being inside most of the time anyway. I think it is great you are feeling the good effects of varying your intensity on the workouts! Still doing a lot I think but I am sure for you it feels “mild” compared to what you are used too. More energy is always a good indicator!

    Hi Thelma :)

Have a great evening ladies ~ I will talk with you tomorrow! Tami
