Is the person who started this post even around anymore???? I looked back over the last couple weeks and haven't seen any posts from him/her.

Yes, I noticed that too, though I didn't want to call out anyone by name. I wanted the information about those who remain to be inspirational; I didn't want anyone to take it the wrong way and feel guilty.

There really could be any number of reasons why someone might have fallen off, and I hope OP, and anyone else for that matter, feels like a return to the discussion would be welcomed. I don't know OP, but for those who do, maybe send a personal message to check in.

@dustyspal -- I was apprehensive about how my bringing up that the OP isn't around would look. You, however, show a deep commitment to this discussion group and demonstrated genuine concern with your personal replies to everyone last week.

If you would like, I can get you a list of everyone who has fallen off if you would like to invite them back.

I think I will just keep it open. As you said, I don't want anyone to feel pressured. I'll create a new thread in the Challenges forum, same Title "12 Week Challenge" with the new dates. (I will have to check the calendar). All are welcome to join in on the new Challenge.

    Hope to see everyone there.

Let me know if we want to start with 12/23 or wait until 1/1.
@bearly63 already said January, but I'll go with the majority.
My 2 cents... Keeping the Christmas & New Years dates might keep me motivated enough not to slack off.

@mthwbrwn and @dustypal, I am friends with @kmparker218. I can send her a private message, but she may not have intended the challenge to extend beyond 12 weeks. I have joined 12 week challenges created by other members and they were not restarted by the same person. Feel free to begin a new challenge. Start date 12/23 is fine with me.

Oh, and I'm so oblivious that I didn't realize that dustyspal wasn't the starter of this challenge. Hahaha. Anyway, I'm up for another 12 weeks (which if we start on the 23rd will put us right before St. Patricks Day). I agree, I'd rather start right away this way I keep myself in check during Christmas.

Sorry to hear about your shingles! I feel your pain. Finally no longer feeling pain in my ribcage! I was diagnosed on 10/25. Not fun! It gets better every week. Good luck!

I'm good to start in the new year, it's a nice rounded beginning date. When you make the thread you should post a link here for anyone who needs help finding it.

Hi MFP family! Yes I am still here. Still watching everyone’s progress. A little more in and out then I should be but here. Things have been a mess (job loss 😞) and I’ll admit caused an enormous amount of stress which led to motivation loss and bad bad bad food choices. It’s a huge tough time for me and my family right now and I ask just to send prayers our way and sprinkles of positive energy.

The good news is even with being off track I’ve also still been doing my best to ensure a huge weight gain does not happen. Right now I am 245 and lowest recorded weight was 237. I’ve been working really hard to get myself back on track to end the year strong.

If you all would like to restart ... I would love that!

Hi @kmparker218. Sorry to hear things have been a little rocky for you. Hope things work out so you and you family are able to move on. I hope I didn't step on your toes discussing extending the challenge. We've all created a nice little group here and I would simple like to keep it going. So if it's okay with you, I would like to extend this to another challenge.
Hope to hear from you soon.

@mthwbrwn - I decided to shave off 200 cals from my daily intake which brings me down to the minimum 1000 and it has helped. On days where I do go over the 1000, I have 200 more in reality but I don't like to think of it that way. Good luck!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Enjoy yourself today and do remember that weight loss is a journey and sometimes, you may need to stop to rest. One meal isn't a whole fitness plan ruined! I am thankful for all your company here.

sorry to hear about the job loss stress! I can totally relate as we went through quite a few of those over the years. It is so stressful and my health was totally affected! Sending positive thoughts for an even better job to come. Do what you can to take care of yourself but no need for extra pressure. We will all be here for a while to keep challenging each other. <3

    12 Week Challenge 2019 ~ Sept 23 ~ Dec 16
    •Monday Updates•
    My name is Tish
    Highest Weight~ 253
    Current Weight: 185.2
    12 Week Goal Weight: 175

    Weigh In Schedule:
    9/23~ 185.2
    9/24~ 185.6
    9/30~ 183
    10/3~ 182.4
    10/07~ 183.6 - No, not gaining
    Just normal fluctuations.
    10/14 - 181.8
    10/21 - 181.6
10/28 - 183 - Smh. Up and down the scale to end the month the same weight as I started the month. The good news is that this 183 is excess fluid and not October 1st excess fat. My body fat percentage decreased. The scale weight will catch up eventually.
    10/31 - 181.8
11/4: 183.6 - no excessive carbs, don't think it's the amount of water I drink, SOMETHING though is keeping my weight elevated. I'll keep digging.
    11/11: 181.4
    11/18: 183.2
    11/25: 183.4
12/02: DNW - Woke up feeling dehydrated and thirsty. I'll post my weight tomorrow.
