Does anyone else here want to join me if I start a new thread end of this month called "Lose 20 lbs by March 1 Accountability Buddies"? I have found it enormously helpful to check in here weekly with you all. If we started a new Accountability Buddies thread around 11/30 we could report Dec 1 as its start day, seamlessly overlapping with our "Final!!!!!" day here. It will be great to reflect/celebrate on Dec 1, but I think that having a new goal date (March 1), with the "baby step" dates in between, will help me keep up momentum toward (eventually) meeting my GW.
    Anyone else interested in this?

    Definitely interested!

W14 11/1: 223.8. Weighing in early due to currently living a 5 day week instead of the normal 7. Been walking a lot ...just added it up..129K steps over the last 7 days or just over 60 miles. No wonder my feet are sore. Well 9 lbs left to meet my challenge goal.

W15 11/11: 218.8. So today was designated weigh day and results were encouraging. 5 more pounds down since November 1st. Still might make my goal weight yet by the end of this challenge.

W16 11/21: 217.2 A little bit late this week, but still making progress. 39.2 down since starting at week 6. Made the 20 lbs challenge , but still have 2.2 to go to meet the goal weight I set for myself when I joined the challenge.

I think I will continue with the challenge and try and hit my ultimate goal or close (around 16 lbs to go). It will get tougher for me now since I am upping my calories some and will be losing weight slower now, but what the hey! I like to be challenged! :)

W1-10 in previous posts, cut to avoid overly long posts.

W11 10/13: 244.4. Best this week: 243.6 yesterday. Down 2 lbs from my last “official” weigh in 2 weeks ago. Yesterday marked the last of my 3 week long “event” period, with my wedding anniversary, my birthday, and 2 weddings. The previous 2 weeks were basically maintenance weeks, but i feel I’m back on track this week and ready to keep moving forward.

W12 10/20: 245.4. I’m up a pound from last week, but I am down an inch from my waist and an inch and a half from my hips, so there is that. And I’ve lost 16.5 this challenge and 26.5 total. Back to tailgating next week, then 2 consecutive 13 hour days for conferences the next week. Fun stuff.

W13 10/27: 241.8 yesterday for a 30lbs total loss and 20lbs for the challenge. Back up today after tailgating yesterday, but only 3 days with students and an actual day off this week on Thursday. So, feeling pretty good. Was hoping to be below 240 by the end of October. May not hit that, but should be close.

W14 11/3: 242.2 yesterday, 244.4 today. Good times, lol. No tailgating this weekend, but no school Thursday and teacher meetings friday, tomorow, and Tuesday means my built in activity is gone for almost a whole week. Went for a run on Thursday, but I fell and skinned my knee so bad it still hurts today, so I skipped the run I was planning yesterday. Will go on a walk during the lunch break again tomorrow like I did Friday.

W15 11/10: friday was my best at 240.2, up to 241.6 yesterday. Really hoping to get out of the 240s soon. Have a full week of school ahead of me, which is great for my step counts, and tailgating on Saturday. Hoping for nice weather...

W16 11/17: 240.8 today, up from 239.0 on Friday for a loss of 21.1 as of today, 22.9 for the weekly best from friday. Friday’s weigh-in made my goal of below 240, and I’m expecting to be steady in the 230’s by mid week (didn’t do bad on calories at the tailgate yesterday, but definitely some water retention from the alcohol) Next Saturday is our last tailgate this year, and it sounds like we’re going back to basics: just my husband and me for almost the whole time. Still get to use my brother-in-law’s parking pass, though.

W17 11/24: 238.6, week best was Friday at 237.4. That puts me steady in the 230s, so I have officially made my goal!

What I learned about myself: I was beginning to think I couldn’t lose the weight anymore, but I found with a little discipline and perseverance it can still be done. In fact that was the most amount lost in the shortest time I’ve ever done. Still not where I really want to be , but am determined to make this the last time I’ll need to do one of these evolutions.

You should give up now." I need accountability buddies like you all to show me that others also are making very slow progress/struggling toward meeting their goals- and that is okay - and that with perseverance, my goal is attainable.

W5 9/2: NS OUT OF TOWN
W6 9/9: 147.0 has been a rough couple of weeks. Hopefully I can get it together and lose that last 10 pounds that I need to.
W7 9/16: 146.3 down from last Monday and I think I would have even been lower, but TOM is showing up today.
W8 9/23: 145.4 finally back on track and moving back down on the scale.
W9 9/30: 145.9 was 140.9 yesterday, but had way to much alcohol and snack foods for the Cowboys game last night.

W10 10/7: 143.2 My lowest Monday so far. Finally maybe I can make some progress this month!
W11 10/14: 142.8 So happy that I am finally seeing some movement downwards.
W12 10/21: 144.6 I had a really good weekend as you can see. I need football season to be over, lol!
W13 10/22: 142.3 I will take it. Absolutely no alcohol yesterday, it was the Cowboys bye weekend.

W14 11/4: 141.5 excellent weekend. Really trying to get into the 130's
W15 11/11: 143.4 way up today. Husbands bday celebration extended through the weekend. Back at it today
W16 11/18: 141.3 I'll take this for a Monday weigh-in. 2 more weeks to see where I will end up
W17 11/25: 137.1 This is probably a false low, due to not eating enough because of shingles meds, but I am still happy to see it. It's the whoosh I have been waiting for

Final!!!! 12/1: 144.4 This is right afetr Thanksgiving, getting off shingle meds, and TOM showed up. So it's not a real number. I am going with 138 for this round!

Total loss: I have no idea honestly. I am going to say around 6.5 pounds.
What I've learned about myself: That this is rough and the last 5 pounds are the hardest of all. I will make it, but it is going to take work!
