    My November “I will”:
    Going simpler this month 😁
    A. Tracking Net Carbs are in my targets (which will change as I lose more weight, but are now 135-142 Net Carbs, Under 45 per meal (except breakfast that can be up to 50)
Nov 5: I’m adjusting Net carbs to a total of 150 (High end of moderate carbs) & max at a meal to 50.

Why am I doing this? I’ve been stressed that I can’t slow the gradual upwards creep of my weight since maintenance 6 months ago. Looked back & saw I was eating far fewer Net carbs. Did some research. Decided to eat at moderate carb level. And it worked! I’m down to my lowest weight since. And my the last time I had thus 10-day Trend Weight was July 11th.

Continuing until Nov 9 or until I am under 155 consistently., whichever comes first.

    B. Intrigued by what I’ve been reading & @77tes’s post, I’m going to track my overnight fasting time. I had thought it had to be 16 hours, but a friend’s hospital nutritionist said Intermittent Fasting has been shown to reduce cancer (not sure if recurrence or first time as well.) I asked how long she suggested fasting, and my friend said 12-14 hours. !!!! I think I do that. So let’s see if I do! 🤣]

    I will post my
    1. Time Of first bite
    3. Hours elapsed since prior days last eating
    4. . My daily weigh-in
    5. Net Carbs
    6. Largest # of net carbs per meal/snack day,
    7. Time of last bite

@PackerFanInGB Awhile back you said, “I think I need to go back to the Small Habit challenge we all did awhile ago and start with a small 5 minute habit again ... I will have to go back and see if I can find the website where I can log in for that small habit challenge again. Is it James Clear?”

I believe the medalist started this habits group based on Tiny Habits by BJ Fogg. Some of us took his short program via email messages to get us started. Last week I got an email from BJ saying there would be another free program if anyone wants to sign up for a refresher. I can check the info and share if anyone is interested. There is a TedXtalk on YouTube where he discusses how to start with a tiny habit (floss one tooth) and tells how to connect that with something you do every day. Like, after I brush my teeth I will take my vitamin. That pairs an old habit with a new one and makes it easier to remember to do it.

James Clear wrote Atomic Habits and has excellent articles that I signed up for a long time ago. Many are geared to habit forming but he writes about other topics as well. I have saved a bunch of them on my computer and need to start sorting those “some day🙄”.

I haven't posted here in a while. I have been going back and forth visiting the first grandchild and my younger son came home from deployment so we were off to be involved with his homecoming. I head to NYC for a conference next week which does not help as travel is always a problem area for me. On my horizon is that the fact that both my boys, my daughter in law and grand baby will be home for several days at xmas. I am almost in shock over this as I never expected this. The boys are so separated (geographically and work schedules) these days and leading complicated lives and I never anticipated this happening. I suddenly feel the need to pull myself together and get our old house together etc etc.

Still working on 1) being tidy 2) affirmations 3)logging

The being tidy has really stuck which is interesting since I am usually a pretty mess person. I am still working on 2 & 3.
While I realize I should not over do it, I am adding a 4th of doing something daily of getting ready for upcoming holiday however little that might be. A little bit each day should make a difference.

I love everything that has been posted here while I have been away. So much great wisdom.

@nebslp, thank you for your insight. I hang onto progress over perfection. And it is amazing about your aunt. I also can't believe you have over 100 cousins. How wonderful and lucky for you.

@77tes, glad you were able to get care for your brother-in-law. Hugs.

    @MadisonMolly2017 You are doing great!

    Waving hello to all!!!

@znaoiec you have so many wonderful things going on in your life! So many things to be thankful for on this Thanksgiving day and beyond. Adding a little prep time for the holidays should result in a lot less stress and more time for fun. Congrats on keeping up with the tidying...maybe it’s addictive!?!🤞

My sister and her husband (our fav traveling partners and birders) and my hubs and I went out for lunch today. Then spent a little time looking for the Tundra Swans that had been spotted in our area to no avail, then they came to our house to watch our pics of Iceland on tv screen this afternoon. I am very grateful for family today.

Happy Thanksgiving to all my Americans friends and have a great day to everyone outside of the states🥰. Safe travels to everyone who is out traveling this week.

This month started off rocky but I had better eating habits the last two weeks. Except for a few days I stayed within my macro range, lots less fat and more protein, and averaged at least 400-600 under my usual calorie intake. I didn’t weigh myself for those two weeks. When I did weigh yesterday I found I was exactly where I was when I started 2 weeks ago. Today, after our gathering yesterday, I am up 2.4 above that. I was not expecting this and it is discouraging. Now I am at the top of my range where I am every year, for the past 6 years, during the holidays. This is insanity.
