Had to buy a new suit today. The last one I got--in January this year--was too large by 4 inches in the chest and in the waist. I'm pretty close to what I think my maintenance level will be, so I guess I don't mind at this point needing to purchase it. So, half victory, half annoyance.20

I bought a new pair of work trousers a couple of months ago so I would have at least one pair that fit properly.
They are hanging off me now, so much so my husband noticed 😆. Time to have another go with the too small ones in the cupboard.18 -

Two on one day.
Went to pick up my son’s friend for a sleepover. Haven’t seen the mom in 6 weeks or so. She saw me and said, “Wow, you’ve lost a lot of weight. Like a lot.”26 -
The only slacks that I don't need a belt and can't slip off without unzipping is a size zero while comfortably fitting no pinching and no hang over muffin top. (I'm 4'11" with a normal bmi on American bmi chart and Asian American bmi chart. However doctor says I still need to lose 10 more pounds...)15

Got my hair done yesterday. I used to DREAD getting my hair done because of all the time you have to sit in front of a mirror!
I didn’t hate it this time, the stylist even asked me if she could take a picture of my hair for her insta and I said yes!29 -
Ran the St Jude 5k with my son for the second year in a row—we beat our time by 1 min/mile! 6th in my age group, so not bad for running twice since last year’s 5k!

Hit 190 on my deadlift! Thought my legs were shot from the race, but apparently not! (Well, probably they are now 😆). Been chasing this for quite a while, so super happy21

As I've mentioned on here before, clothes have been a huge source of anxiety for years. (I was too big to shop anywhere but specialty plus size stores, and those didn't even always have large enough sizes for me). So, the following is a major NSV for me: I just replaced 89.3% of my wardrobe!!! Nearly everything I own just went into the donation box, replaced with smaller sized items.
And weirdly, this all happened by accident. Back during some Labor Day sales, I had ordered items online that turned out to be too small & had to be returned. What I forgot was that about half of my original order had been sold out at the time & so was on waitlist to ship... a very long waitlist, it turns out, because guess what showed up at my door this morning... Happily though now everything fits because of the weight I've lost.
Then in further weirdness - while I was sorting through the package & trying things on, my mother showed up with a storage box that she found while cleaning out her spare room. It was some clothes I'd inadvertently left at her house a few years ago when I'd visited from out of state. And, all but one of those items now fit too The only thing that's too small is a pair of trousers that's about half an inch too tight, so even those will be ok soon.
Finding myself unexpectedly deluged with clothes, I took a deep breath, found my courage and went ahead and cleared out the items in my closet that were too big. Most of what I've been wearing has looked like a tent on me, but I didn't quite trust getting rid of them. Leap of faith now taken42 -
Oh, and the other NSV is, my shirts are finally a small enough size that they stay put on the darn clothes hangers!!28

I am starting to see my right external obliques!
(I can see part of my left ones, but my right has more fat... less fat today!)12 -
I bought a winter coat at the mall!
Last few years, I couldn't. Not a single one fit. Couldn't even begin to try to zip up the XLs on the rack. Which means, for the first time, I was able to take advantage of the 70% off sale of the nice ladies coats instead of what I did last year. Which was shell out too much money for a low quality men's coat.
But that low quality coat that just fit last year is now so hilariously big on me it's not even warm.29 -

This resonates with me so much. Thrilled for you & congrats on your new AWESOME coat!

I went to a conference recently. At least 5 former colleagues said something along the lines of: "Matt! Bloody hell, I didn't even recognise you."
I am in the right in this before and after photo.

I saved a closet full of jeans that I used to wear 20 years ago. Today I was finally able to button and zip up a size 34 waist. Still too tight to wear comfortably, but just buttoning them for the first time in 20 years was an incredible feeling! Last April I was busting out of size 42.40

It's my habit to look at the scale when I go to the gym. I unconsciously went up to weigh myself and then changed my mind. At this point, the scale numbers don't matter so much. I'd like to focus more on how I look and feel, which is pretty good! So, my NSV today, was to decide to stop looking at the scale so often! The change in attitude is important for me!27
