    Ok if you're trying to avoid confrontation and need to cool off temporarily so you can remain congenial for the rest of the night or trying to hint to the one socially inept last guest that they've stayed way past their welcome. Not ok if you're just being a neat freak more concerned with cleanliness rather than people.
