Today was difficult. First day this month I struggled. Hopefully after a good night sleep I will be right back on my determined schedule.5 -
Today wasn't one of my better days. I set my alarm for 5 am so I could head to the gym and even had a new workout planned. I'm using my gym's app for some new ideas and I like a lot of them. Unfortunately, I was dizzy as hell when I woke up so no gym. I barely made it through the work day. I did manage 60 minutes of hip therapy and Epley maneuver in 10 minute increments. If it wasn't for this group.................
I'm not giving up on my goals this year.............I refuse to quit and rest on my fitness laurels...........LOL

When I opened up the UAC community this evening, I was feeling so far away from you all. By the time that I had read through @craigo3154; @Dory_42; @victorious55; @TerriRichardson112, I was feeling so grateful for each of you and the rest of our team mates.
I do feel very sad and uncomfortably preoccupied by my Aunt’s situation. I’ve been down this road before as a attorney and as a family member. Unfortunately, the loved one who you are trying to protect, winds up focusing their anger at the one who is their rescuer.
My parents were people of basic simple virtues: duty was one of the highest.

Back on track after a week's absence. Lost the kilo and a bit I put on during those days travelling and staying in hotels.
Exercise: Yes, minimal. I was very tired but did about 30 minutes walking.
Calories: Yes, stayed under.
Tracking: Yes, logged everything.
I have lots to be grateful for. Looking at my poor partner, I'm so grateful I have a good memory and my brain functions properly.7 -

yes x3 though exercise was just a short walk and some bodyweight exercises.
Still confused by my Fitbit calculations.
Yesterday: 8738 steps and 2074 cal burned and +228 calorie adjustment on mfp but 2 hours of extra non-step exercise
Today: 8084 steps and 2020 calories burned as of 11pm and +254 calorie adjustment on mfp but no non-step exercises
Which makes me feel like Fitbit isn't counting my non-step exercises from yesterday (bike + gym class) in its calorie count, either on its own app or on mfp. Anyone have any insight?5 -

craigo3154 Thanks for the thoughtful reply. This week I read an interesting article on CNN about the fires in Australia. https://www.cnn.com/2020/01/12/world/aboriginal-australia-fire-trnd/index.html The article said the aborginal people have 50,000 year old land management practices that prevent the type of large scale fires that are happening now. Hopefully, the situation will turn soon. Take care of yourself and your family.
