Today's snack time choice has been all about good 'ole grapefruit, which is a high toll for me, for I've just not taken a liking to them as does the majority of my family.

Either a clementine or an ounce of cheese, generally.

My snacks are Big Macs and Pizza :) Seriously, the snacks on my meal plan are protein shakes, blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, apples, almonds, walnuts, cheese, ceviche, or egg salad.

    These any good?

Yes! They seriously taste like tacos.

I'm not a big fan of any of the other flavors, but this one is really good.

Now I feel foolish. Where do you find them?

I loved apples with peanut butter (but weigh it out!) or triscuit thins with laughing cow cheese wedge and carrots. Also really like Built Bars. Current favorite flavors are the coconut or the black cherry.

You can probably buy them at GNC or the like, but I order them off Amazon. I have them in my monthly subscription delivery.

I plan on a morning and afternoon snack through the workweek. Basically any "whole food" which is easy to pack and eat on the go. These have been some of my go to snacks -

Fruits: gala apple, Bartlet pear, clementine, banana, red grapes
Vegetables: snap peas, green beans, bell pepper slices, snow peas, carrots
Higher protein: steamed and salted edamame, dried and seasoned garbanzo beans, turkey pepperoni stick, spoonful of peanut butter, raw nuts, Greek yogurt
Salty snack (occasional): popcorn, Pirate's Booty, Beanitos chips

    • Oranges
    • Banana
    • Fage blood orange greek yogurt
    • "Smoothie" (blended almond milk + frozen berries)
    • Blueberry english muffin with a little honey

When I want some thing to munch on:
    • Cucumber slices w/Bolthouse ranch dressing
    • Plain popcorn
    • Sunflower seeds

When I want something more substantial/filling:
    • Boiled eggs (deviled eggs)
    • Rice crackers + laughing cow cheese wedges
    • String cheese
    • Miso soup or any sort of light soup (like the Progresso brand light ones)
    • Tuna (either plain or with a little olive oil mayo or mustard + spices)
