Thank you and happy anniversary!
I meet my husband in 1963, so we really have been together for 57 years (although we didn't live together until we got married). I wouldn't change this man for the world.
I met my husband in 1963 too! Mr. McCue's 7th grade spanish class 😊 We reconnected in high school and have been married 49 years 😍
My husband was my boss. Now, I am the boss...7 -
My first marriage ended after 18 years. It was very, very rough. I've been married to the love of my life now for 12+ years and plan on dying as his wife10

I feel for you...0 -
She married me 36.some years ago. The only "richer" we've had was in the words that day.7

So far my marriage has outlasted MFP. This month marks 4 years here and last week was our 25th Anniversary. Although I have to say there were serious doubts we would actually make that mark. Raising a rebellious teen is hell on a marriage.9

Depends whom you are married to...4

My marriage lasted for a whole two years before we separated. (Though technically it lasted a lot longer because it took us both ages to get around to getting divorced).
It would have been helpful to know my husband was gay going in.25 -
will be 8 years at MFP in May...
and will be married 32 years in July3 -
I do love MFP but I definitely love my wife more! 18 years together & 11 years married6

Today is my wedding anniversary and coincidentally I recieved this message from MFP on receiving my 7 year MFP poster badge: Wow! Seven years. Your community relationships have outlasted most marriages.
Do most marriages really last less than 7 years these days?? (or was that exagerated hyperbole??)
Mine has so far lasted for 34 .
#humblebrag
My first one lasted 24 years. He had a heart attack which brought out the worst of his personality and he started hoarding and being awful to me. I hung on for four years, but I couldn't keep going.
My second hasn't started yet, but he's been talking about "after we're married" pretty casually. So it will happen.3 -
4.5 years on MFP.
32 years with DH, married for 23 of them.
And I love him more now than when I married him. Sometimes I look at him and I am totally overwhelmed with just how much I love him. And he makes me laugh, every single day.18 -
Just saying congrats on that humblebrag.
Also, my wife and I will celebrate 8 years in April, just a few days after we become parents.12 -
thank you Carlos - and enjoy parenthood.
(been there, done that x 3 )3 -
