    Ending Weight Last Round: 186.8
    Day 01 – 11/22 ……185.6……Off to a good start with very careful menu planning yesterday and a walk that was extra long. Good luck to everyone this round! This challenge will probably be the hardest of the entire year because of all the holidays. We can do this!
    Day 02 – 11/23 ……185.2…… Lunch yesterday with a friend but still down 0.4. Happy with that. Dinner tonight with a different friend but they promised to make it low carb friendly so we shall see!
    Day 03 – 11/24 ……185.0…… A small & welcomed drop.
    Day 04 – 11/25 ...….183.6…… Thrilled with today. Tomorrow & Wednesday brings Big City travel to a country bumpkin like me. I have to admit it, I am already looking forward to restaurants & treats. I’ve decided to pick one day to contain myself, and the other to indulge. My goal is to be more mindful tomorrow (Day 1 of travel).
    Day 05 – 11/26 ……184.0…… Travel Day canceled until tomorrow. I have NO IDEA why my weight fluctuated up. Perfect eating day yesterday & a ton of extra calorie burn. Not enough water, could that be it? Never enough sleep-in the 4 hour range again but that is typical for me.
    Day 06 – 11/27 ……187.8…… This is an after-travel weigh in. I ended up traveling yesterday after all. But today’s travel cancelled. Thank Goodness for that because I cannot afford another restaurant and I’m not talking about money here! Mad at my scale and a little at myself. I swear carbs are out to get me! Portion control was good. Choices sucked. This is what mashed potatoes & gravy and dinner rolls look like on a scale!
    Day 07 – 11/28 ……185.6…… A Whoosh back down after a very low calorie & low carb day filled with extra long exercise/activity. I’m working for this! My feast is not until Saturday so I am already hanging my head in shame for anticipation of that dreaded upcoming Sunday weigh-in. Even so, I will enjoy it but not let it be the start of my usual fall/winter downhill spiral.
    Day 08 – 11/29 ……183.6…… Worked hard for this so I’m feeling pretty rewarded right now. Our Thanksgiving is tomorrow. I don’t want to blow it, but I’ll be honest, I can’t wait for mashed potatoes and pie!
    Day 09 – 11/30 ……182.4…… Today is Our Large Family Thanksgiving Day Dinner Celebration. I am thrilled with the scale. I’ve banked calories & carbs for the dinner & desserts (if such a thing is really possible). It may not help on the overnight, but in the grand scheme of things I hope it will make a difference. I will enjoy today but I will not let it become the downward spiral that usually starts for me on Thanksgiving and doesn’t end until after Easter. Not this year! No Ma’am! No Sir! Not This Year!

    Weight Loss in November (9 days)……………….. – 4.4 lbs Lost.

    Day 10 – 12/01 ……187.4…… After Turkey Day weigh-in. I gained 5 pounds overnight eating child-sized portions. I burned more calories than I ate. Carbs hate me, but that’s okay, I hate them too and I will be counting them carefully today.
    Day 11 – 12/02 ……183.2…… Finally TMI potty after 4 days of no action so that obviously helped, especially after a Thanksgiving Dinner on Saturday. Weight down 4 pounds overnight, but went up 5 pounds overnight so I still need to get rid of another pound to break even. However, I am pleased with this whoosh. Today will be a good day. School is reopened after 4 days so I can walk the school halls again and get some burning action in. I can’t wait!
    Day 12 – 12/03 ……183.6…… A normal fluctuation. Everything was on point yesterday – Calories, Carbs & Exercise.
    Day 13 – 12/04 ……182.6…… A pound down today. Happy with that. Tomorrow I travel to the city & Christmas shop. Long drive but lots of walking once I get there. Restaurants will set me back but I will conquer those scale increases quick enough!
    Day 14 – 12/05 …….184.6……This is what sloppy joes look like on me. But it was nice having dinner at a friend’s house. Long travel trip today in car. Tomorrow weigh-in will not be pretty but it will be temporary.
    Day 15 – 12/06 …….186.6……After travel weigh-in.
    Day 16 – 12/07 …….187.4……And more food today when I attend my DGS #4’s birthday party. He is turning 2.
    Day 17 – 12/08 …….188.4…… No comment.
    Day 18 – 12/09 …….188.2…… I’ll take what I can get!
    Day 19 – 12/10 …….188.8…… Dinner at my friend’s. She served Pasta to a person eating low-carb! Did she sabotage me? Did I sabotage myself? I think both! Today will be a very strict day!
    Day 20 – 12/11 …….188.8…… Decorating finally done. Now for the wrapping marathon which began last night!
    Day 21 – 12/12 …….186.6……I love it when I stick to my food plan because it really works. Even with the complete lack of exercise during my wrapping marathon (which is not over yet!)
    Day 22 – 12/13 …….184.0…… Another good day on the scale although there was absolutely no exercise except the monumental wrapping projects which are ongoing!
    Day 23 – 12/14 …….183.4…… Yay. Another good day yesterday (except for exercise). More wrapping completed, but more to go! Super hungry today. All my food is outside in boxes because my new fridge was just delivered. Until I can get the food back inside and placed into the new fridge, God Help Me from getting into my cabinets because THAT is never good. Cabinets are all processed, high carb, high calorie foods that belong to my son, I have no business getting into them!
    Day 24 – 12/15 …….183.6…… Normal fluctuation . No worries. I had an unexpected trip out of town today so my scale will bounce back up tomorrow from a high carb lunch but it’s nothing I can’t handle.
    Day 25 – 12/16 …….186.6……After Travel weigh-in. No movement, big lunch. This is where the going downhill really begins. More travel today as I take my brother to the city for Doctors and shopping. Lunch out is inevitable. Can I not turn it into a binge tonight? I’m really going to try!
    Day 26 – 12/17 …….187.7…… After travel weigh-in (again). Otherwise, no comment.
    Day 27 – 12/18 …….188.2…… From bad to worse. More wrapping today which is little to no steps. Lack of exercise is definitely not helping!
    Day 28 – 12/19 …….189.6……
    Day 29 – 12/20 …….191.4…… I’m going to have to take drastic measures tomorrow.
    Day 30 – 12/21 …….191.4…… A better day today, but as shown on the scale reading, yesterday….notsomuch!
    Day 31 – 12/22 …….187.8…… Better, just like I promised. However, DGS#3 has a birthday party today (3rd birthday party this month for family members). Pizza, cake & ice cream. I am looking forward to the Pizza. Haven’t had it in awhile. However, my commitment to myself is that I will not turn it into an all night binge on EVERYTHING I’ve been craving. Wish me luck!
    Day 32 – 12/23 …….190.2…… Babysitting DGS #4 today (age 2). I am going to do my fudge and baking today (if he will let me!) No taste-testing. Today will be a low cal/low carb day.
    Day 33 – 12/24 …….192.0…… Disasterous. The big Family Dinner is tomorrow followed by travel on the 26th or 27th. A beautiful time of year, but my body can’t wait for January to get here. Corrupted!
    Day 34 – 12/25 …….192.6…… Merry Christmas everyone!
    Day 35 – 12/26 …….195.4…… No words except that now the work begins!
    Day 36 – 12/27 …….195.4…… I wasn’t going for maintenance.
    Day 37 – 12/28 …….194.0…… Better on the scale, but not much better on the food choices. I just ate less of the junk. Today I am aiming for healthy low carb & low calorie choices.
    Day 38 – 12/29 …….190.4…… I had a fabulous day yesterday with the diet plan, but had to power through some pretty strong hunger late last night. Atkins meal bar kept it reasonable calories and low net carb. Fairlife milk coated my tummy and I felt very full while staying in plan. I was very low on fiber in my macros so I knew the snack bar would help with that nicely. I probably should have eaten more protein for dinner. Trending back down so I’m happy to have gotten the ball rolling again.
    Day 39 – 12/30 …….190.4…… Holding steady which is pretty good considering my movie night with my son last night. Today I am going for any loss, even 0.1 . I’ve got to rid myself of the Christmas indulgences that are making my pants tight.
    Day 40 – 12/31 …….191.2…… The candy dish fought me and won AFTER I had already eaten all my meals and snacks for the day. Have a safe New Years Eve everyone!

    Day 41 – 01/01 …….189.2…… Happy New Year Everyone!
    Day 42 – 01/02 …….188.2.…… Recommitting myself.
    Day 43 – 01/03 …….190.0.…… A very fast glucose drop (I’m type 2 Diabetic) caused a quick eating spree putting me over cals & carbs. This happens on occasion, but especially when I am not careful to regulate the time of my meals. I am working carefully on this today although still not feeling very well.
    Day 44 – 01/04 …….190.0……
    Day 45 – 01/05 …….192.4 …… Food festival for the crew for helping me “undecorated” my business and home and store all the Christmas stuff. I shouldn’t have partaken. Today I clean cabins, redecorate my house with my regular décor (without assistance), and DRINK MY WATER for Goodness sakes!
    Day 46 – 01/06 …….191.8…… Better, but I still need to reduce the carbs. Calories & activity/exercise going well.
    Day 47 – 01/07 …….190.6…… Tons of calorie burn yesterday helped tremendously.
    Day 48 – 01/08 …….190.6…… No change due to no improvement.
    Day 49 – 01/09 …….194.0…… Epic fail during travel yesterday. Lots of sitting and a restaurant was involved. The meal was nice but not worth it.
    Day 50 – 01/10 …….194.2…… I am experiencing severe glucose drops (T2D). The drops seem to come at night AFTER I’ve had my allotted calories and carbs. Correcting is adding carbs & cals that I didn’t expect. Reducing earlier in the day will only make the drops more severe. I am going to have to tip-toe around this until it stabilizes. I’m going to pull out my bag of tricks. I’ll do whatever it takes to restart my journey.
    Day 51 – 01/11 …….194.2…… Working hard on the glucose problem but need to work on the water more too. Holding steady is a good thing at this point.
    Day 52 – 01/12 …….194.2…… Steady weight, steady glucose. At least for yesterday. I will continue to take necessary small steps today to ease back into low carbs and calories.
    Day 53 – 01/13 …….195.4…… Lots of activity and exercise. Too much food. It’s true…..You can’t outrun the fork.
    Day 54 – 01/14 …….192.0…… I have been “easing” back into the lower carb & calorie lifestyle. Taking it slow became very necessary during some pretty severe glucose drops. I am happy to say that yesterday was much better with only one small drop on the glucose meter. I was able to stick to plan much better without getting sick or frenzied. Lets hope this progress continues because I am really REALLY wanting to get things back to “normal” for me.
    Day 55 – 01/15 …….189.7…… Another nice drop. Worked hard for this walking over 10 miles yesterday and over 23,000 steps. First complete good day on the glucose level staying steady. My body is readjusting back to the steady “diet”. Yay!
    Day 56 – 01/16 …….189.7…… Scale holding steady after 2 days of good drops. Yesterday was a good day. My DGS age 11 walked with me at the school.
    Day 57 – 01/17 …….189.9…… Showing a normal fluctuation. Diet on plan but no planned exercise yesterday due to workload. I did get in my 10,000 steps but little more.
    Day 58 – 01/18 …….189.9…… I’m on track with meals & exercise. I’ve just GOT TO watch those snacks!
    Day 59 – 01/19 …….189.7…… A drop in the bucket is better than no drop at all! Social gathering food last night did not “hurt” as bad as I thought. We’ll see if anything shows up tomorrow, or if I’ve dodged a bullet.
    Day 60 – 01/20 …….189.7…… Keeping the blood sugars slow and steady as I slowly get back into a routine of weight loss. It’s all good, I know what to do to get back to routine SAFELY.
    Day 61 – 01/21 …….189.6…… A little high on calories but carbs weren’t too bad for my easing back in plan. Sugars stayed level, if not a bit high. No scary drop last night but I didn’t expect one because I overdid the snack a little in fear (again). I’ll get my good macros back soon. I’m just not jumping too quickly. A nice little drop on the scale was nice to see this morning.
    Day 62 – 01/22 …….189.6…… A small episode on the glucose last night left me a bit over on carbs but the calories were good and the drop in glucose less frenzied and more manageable.
    Day 63 – 01/23 …….189.9…… An exercise rest day but I got lots of work at home done which is a nice start to many projects. I went over on cals & carbs yesterday but it could have been worse. Kicking myself in butt though because this was not a fast glucose drop scenario, it was a lack of willpower when cooking my son’s dinner. Ugggg.
    Day 64 – 01/24 …….190.8…… Oopsie Daisy
    Day 65 – 01/25 …….191.6…… An extremely scary drop in blood glucose which almost required an ambulance. Shoveling in the carbs brought it back up along with the numbers on the scale. Can’t win for losing (or for gaining in this case). Feeling better today but being careful. I gotta somehow fix this within being put on insulin shots.
    Day 66 – 01/26 …….190.0…… A better night. Keeping the faith.
    Day 67 – 01/27 …….190.0…… I can’t get into the school to walk on Saturdays & Sundays because it is closed. That is where our community walks in the winter as we have no malls, big box stores or gyms in our little rural farming community. So I have not had major exercise since Friday. I’m glad to have maintained.
    Day 68 – 01/28 …….189.9…… Travel today. Fingers crossed for strength & mindfulness. I expect some water retention after a restaurant meal, I can handle that. Please no true fat!
    Day 69 – 01/29 …….191.8…… Pizza Hut yesterday while traveling with my brother for his medical. His choice of restaurant. I kept it reigned in for the most part but fluid retention is obvious today. I will work on that today.
    Day 70 – 01/30 …….191.8……
    Day 71 – 01/31 …….191.6…… Another small glucose drop late late last night but it was a slo-mo so I was able to control it only going a bit over my carb and calorie goals. I am still working it through. I thought I was safe for the night. It occurred at about 2:30 a.m. I can, however, see that it is improving a bit in its intensity. I’ll keep at it so that it does not stand in the way of my weight loss goals. #notgivingup

    Day 72 – 02/01 …….191.6…… Over calorie and carb yesterday but good exercise. I hope it don’t show up on the scale in the next few days. More cals out than in, but still not within plan.
    Day 73 – 02/02 …….192.0…… Underestimated yesterday’s cals & carbs until later and closer inspection. A stupid mistake so this is not too unexpected. I am going to try to be mindful today on Super bowl Sunday. Enjoy your day everyone, wherever you are!
    Day 74 – 02/03 …….192.6…… Superbowl. It could have been worse. Lasagna but no starchy snacks.
    Day 75 – 02/04 …….192.3…… I wish I could take proper credit for the drop on the scale but I can’t. Gripping stomach pain yesterday and last night. Flu? Pancreatitis or gall bladder? Not sure, but I am cautiously optimistic for today. Taking it slow.
    Day 76 – 02/05 …….192.6…… Still ill. I am not eating much. Fluid retention from sodium and lack of TMI. Today I will work on water. I will still keep it a bit low fat to help relieve gall bladder and pancreas. A bit afraid to eat anything at all but I am going to work on it today and see how it goes.
    Day 77 – 02/06 …….192.1…… Starting now for the next 10 days, I am going to try something new in the hopes of helping my gall bladder, my glucose numbers, yet still my weight. I will focus more on my calories and (a little) less on my carbs. I am hoping to rest my gall bladder from excess fat, raise my glucose numbers a bit but still see something positive on the scale. We’ll see how this experiment goes.
    Day 78 – 02/07 …….192.1…… Day one of new plan. This new plan will probably be temporary in nature. A few weeks, a few months? Not sure yet, but I’ve got to work with my medical issures at this time, that’s #1.
    Day 79 – 02/08 …….192.0…… Glucose running a bit high because of added carbs (to avoid the too lows). Still tweaking. Scale down a touch. I was over calorie by just a tiny bit (used to counting carbs instead), but I’m working on the formulas from day to day.
    Day 80 – 02/09 …….193.0…… Still trying to sort this new plan out. I was over calorie yesterday so this is not a surprise. I travel out of town tomorrow. That is not going to help.

    I am would love to reach my ultimate goal and maintenance in these 100 days. But am mostly wanting to be mindful, healthy and accountable. Chemo treatments will run through the beginning of February, so movement and healthy eating, and lots of water will be important goals as well. Good luck everyone!

    1/16/20 - 149.7 - I missed last night's lifting session and the water weight from all the salt on Monday & Tuesday is falling off. This validates that everything is water weight and not fat.

    Ending Weight Last Round: 186.8
    Day 01 – 11/22 ……185.6……Off to a good start with very careful menu planning yesterday and a walk that was extra long. Good luck to everyone this round! This challenge will probably be the hardest of the entire year because of all the holidays. We can do this!
    Day 02 – 11/23 ……185.2…… Lunch yesterday with a friend but still down 0.4. Happy with that. Dinner tonight with a different friend but they promised to make it low carb friendly so we shall see!
    Day 03 – 11/24 ……185.0…… A small & welcomed drop.
    Day 04 – 11/25 ...….183.6…… Thrilled with today. Tomorrow & Wednesday brings Big City travel to a country bumpkin like me. I have to admit it, I am already looking forward to restaurants & treats. I’ve decided to pick one day to contain myself, and the other to indulge. My goal is to be more mindful tomorrow (Day 1 of travel).
    Day 05 – 11/26 ……184.0…… Travel Day canceled until tomorrow. I have NO IDEA why my weight fluctuated up. Perfect eating day yesterday & a ton of extra calorie burn. Not enough water, could that be it? Never enough sleep-in the 4 hour range again but that is typical for me.
    Day 06 – 11/27 ……187.8…… This is an after-travel weigh in. I ended up traveling yesterday after all. But today’s travel cancelled. Thank Goodness for that because I cannot afford another restaurant and I’m not talking about money here! Mad at my scale and a little at myself. I swear carbs are out to get me! Portion control was good. Choices sucked. This is what mashed potatoes & gravy and dinner rolls look like on a scale!
    Day 07 – 11/28 ……185.6…… A Whoosh back down after a very low calorie & low carb day filled with extra long exercise/activity. I’m working for this! My feast is not until Saturday so I am already hanging my head in shame for anticipation of that dreaded upcoming Sunday weigh-in. Even so, I will enjoy it but not let it be the start of my usual fall/winter downhill spiral.
    Day 08 – 11/29 ……183.6…… Worked hard for this so I’m feeling pretty rewarded right now. Our Thanksgiving is tomorrow. I don’t want to blow it, but I’ll be honest, I can’t wait for mashed potatoes and pie!
    Day 09 – 11/30 ……182.4…… Today is Our Large Family Thanksgiving Day Dinner Celebration. I am thrilled with the scale. I’ve banked calories & carbs for the dinner & desserts (if such a thing is really possible). It may not help on the overnight, but in the grand scheme of things I hope it will make a difference. I will enjoy today but I will not let it become the downward spiral that usually starts for me on Thanksgiving and doesn’t end until after Easter. Not this year! No Ma’am! No Sir! Not This Year!

    Weight Loss in November (9 days)……………….. – 4.4 lbs Lost.

    Day 10 – 12/01 ……187.4…… After Turkey Day weigh-in. I gained 5 pounds overnight eating child-sized portions. I burned more calories than I ate. Carbs hate me, but that’s okay, I hate them too and I will be counting them carefully today.
    Day 11 – 12/02 ……183.2…… Finally TMI potty after 4 days of no action so that obviously helped, especially after a Thanksgiving Dinner on Saturday. Weight down 4 pounds overnight, but went up 5 pounds overnight so I still need to get rid of another pound to break even. However, I am pleased with this whoosh. Today will be a good day. School is reopened after 4 days so I can walk the school halls again and get some burning action in. I can’t wait!
    Day 12 – 12/03 ……183.6…… A normal fluctuation. Everything was on point yesterday – Calories, Carbs & Exercise.
    Day 13 – 12/04 ……182.6…… A pound down today. Happy with that. Tomorrow I travel to the city & Christmas shop. Long drive but lots of walking once I get there. Restaurants will set me back but I will conquer those scale increases quick enough!
    Day 14 – 12/05 …….184.6……This is what sloppy joes look like on me. But it was nice having dinner at a friend’s house. Long travel trip today in car. Tomorrow weigh-in will not be pretty but it will be temporary.
    Day 15 – 12/06 …….186.6……After travel weigh-in.
    Day 16 – 12/07 …….187.4……And more food today when I attend my DGS #4’s birthday party. He is turning 2.
    Day 17 – 12/08 …….188.4…… No comment.

    Day 21 – 12/12 …….186.6……I love it when I stick to my food plan because it really works. Even with the complete lack of exercise during my wrapping marathon (which is not over yet!)
    Day 22 – 12/13 …….184.0…… Another good day on the scale although there was absolutely no exercise except the monumental wrapping projects which are ongoing!
    Day 23 – 12/14 …….183.4…… Yay. Another good day yesterday (except for exercise). More wrapping completed, but more to go! Super hungry today. All my food is outside in boxes because my new fridge was just delivered. Until I can get the food back inside and placed into the new fridge, God Help Me from getting into my cabinets because THAT is never good. Cabinets are all processed, high carb, high calorie foods that belong to my son, I have no business getting into them!
    Day 24 – 12/15 …….183.6…… Normal fluctuation . No worries. I had an unexpected trip out of town today so my scale will bounce back up tomorrow from a high carb lunch but it’s nothing I can’t handle.
    Day 25 – 12/16 …….186.6……After Travel weigh-in. No movement, big lunch. This is where the going downhill really begins. More travel today as I take my brother to the city for Doctors and shopping. Lunch out is inevitable. Can I not turn it into a binge tonight? I’m really going to try!
    Day 26 – 12/17 …….187.7…… After travel weigh-in (again). Otherwise, no comment.
    Day 27 – 12/18 …….188.2…… From bad to worse. More wrapping today which is little to no steps. Lack of exercise is definitely not helping!

    Day 32 – 12/23 …….190.2…… Babysitting DGS #4 today (age 2). I am going to do my fudge and baking today (if he will let me!) No taste-testing. Today will be a low cal/low carb day.
    Day 33 – 12/24 …….192.0…… Disasterous. The big Family Dinner is tomorrow followed by travel on the 26th or 27th. A beautiful time of year, but my body can’t wait for January to get here. Corrupted!

    Day 37 – 12/28 …….194.0…… Better on the scale, but not much better on the food choices. I just ate less of the junk. Today I am aiming for healthy low carb & low calorie choices.
    Day 38 – 12/29 …….190.4…… I had a fabulous day yesterday with the diet plan, but had to power through some pretty strong hunger late last night. Atkins meal bar kept it reasonable calories and low net carb. Fairlife milk coated my tummy and I felt very full while staying in plan. I was very low on fiber in my macros so I knew the snack bar would help with that nicely. I probably should have eaten more protein for dinner. Trending back down so I’m happy to have gotten the ball rolling again.
    Day 39 – 12/30 …….190.4…… Holding steady which is pretty good considering my movie night with my son last night. Today I am going for any loss, even 0.1 . I’ve got to rid myself of the Christmas indulgences that are making my pants tight.
    Day 40 – 12/31 …….191.2…… The candy dish fought me and won AFTER I had already eaten all my meals and snacks for the day. Have a safe New Years Eve everyone!

    Day 43 – 01/03 …….190.0.…… A very fast glucose drop (I’m type 2 Diabetic) caused a quick eating spree putting me over cals & carbs. This happens on occasion, but especially when I am not careful to regulate the time of my meals. I am working carefully on this today although still not feeling very well.
    Day 44 – 01/04 …….190.0……
    Day 45 – 01/05 …….192.4 …… Food festival for the crew for helping me “undecorated” my business and home and store all the Christmas stuff. I shouldn’t have partaken. Today I clean cabins, redecorate my house with my regular décor (without assistance), and DRINK MY WATER for Goodness sakes!
    Day 46 – 01/06 …….191.8…… Better, but I still need to reduce the carbs. Calories & activity/exercise going well.
    Day 47 – 01/07 …….190.6…… Tons of calorie burn yesterday helped tremendously.
    Day 48 – 01/08 …….190.6…… No change due to no improvement.
    Day 49 – 01/09 …….194.0…… Epic fail during travel yesterday. Lots of sitting and a restaurant was involved. The meal was nice but not worth it.
    Day 50 – 01/10 …….194.2…… I am experiencing severe glucose drops (T2D). The drops seem to come at night AFTER I’ve had my allotted calories and carbs. Correcting is adding carbs & cals that I didn’t expect. Reducing earlier in the day will only make the drops more severe. I am going to have to tip-toe around this until it stabilizes. I’m going to pull out my bag of tricks. I’ll do whatever it takes to restart my journey.
    Day 51 – 01/11 …….194.2…… Working hard on the glucose problem but need to work on the water more too. Holding steady is a good thing at this point.
    Day 52 – 01/12 …….194.2…… Steady weight, steady glucose. At least for yesterday. I will continue to take necessary small steps today to ease back into low carbs and calories.
    Day 53 – 01/13 …….195.4…… Lots of activity and exercise. Too much food. It’s true…..You can’t outrun the fork.
    Day 54 – 01/14 …….192.0…… I have been “easing” back into the lower carb & calorie lifestyle. Taking it slow became very necessary during some pretty severe glucose drops. I am happy to say that yesterday was much better with only one small drop on the glucose meter. I was able to stick to plan much better without getting sick or frenzied. Lets hope this progress continues because I am really REALLY wanting to get things back to “normal” for me.
    Day 55 – 01/15 …….189.7…… Another nice drop. Worked hard for this walking over 10 miles yesterday and over 23,000 steps. First complete good day on the glucose level staying steady. My body is readjusting back to the steady “diet”. Yay!
    Day 56 – 01/16 …….189.7…… Scale holding steady after 2 days of good drops. Yesterday was a good day. My DGS age 11 walked with me at the school.
    Day 57 – 01/17 …….189.9…… Showing a normal fluctuation. Diet on plan but no planned exercise yesterday due to workload. I did get in my 10,000 steps but little more.
    Day 58 – 01/18 …….189.9…… I’m on track with meals & exercise. I’ve just GOT TO watch those snacks!
    Day 59 – 01/19 …….189.7…… A drop in the bucket is better than no drop at all! Social gathering food last night did not “hurt” as bad as I thought. We’ll see if anything shows up tomorrow, or if I’ve dodged a bullet.
    Day 60 – 01/20 …….189.7…… Keeping the blood sugars slow and steady as I slowly get back into a routine of weight loss. It’s all good, I know what to do to get back to routine SAFELY.
    Day 61 – 01/21 …….189.6…… A little high on calories but carbs weren’t too bad for my easing back in plan. Sugars stayed level, if not a bit high. No scary drop last night but I didn’t expect one because I overdid the snack a little in fear (again). I’ll get my good macros back soon. I’m just not jumping too quickly. A nice little drop on the scale was nice to see this morning.
    Day 62 – 01/22 …….189.6…… A small episode on the glucose last night left me a bit over on carbs but the calories were good and the drop in glucose less frenzied and more manageable.
    Day 63 – 01/23 …….189.9…… An exercise rest day but I got lots of work at home done which is a nice start to many projects. I went over on cals & carbs yesterday but it could have been worse. Kicking myself in butt though because this was not a fast glucose drop scenario, it was a lack of willpower when cooking my son’s dinner. Ugggg.

    Day 65 – 01/25 …….191.6…… An extremely scary drop in blood glucose which almost required an ambulance. Shoveling in the carbs brought it back up along with the numbers on the scale. Can’t win for losing (or for gaining in this case). Feeling better today but being careful. I gotta somehow fix this within being put on insulin shots.
    Day 66 – 01/26 …….190.0…… A better night. Keeping the faith.
    Day 67 – 01/27 …….190.0…… I can’t get into the school to walk on Saturdays & Sundays because it is closed. That is where our community walks in the winter as we have no malls, big box stores or gyms in our little rural farming community. So I have not had major exercise since Friday. I’m glad to have maintained.
    Day 68 – 01/28 …….189.9…… Travel today. Fingers crossed for strength & mindfulness. I expect some water retention after a restaurant meal, I can handle that. Please no true fat!
    Day 69 – 01/29 …….191.8…… Pizza Hut yesterday while traveling with my brother for his medical. His choice of restaurant. I kept it reigned in for the most part but fluid retention is obvious today. I will work on that today.

    Day 71 – 01/31 …….191.6…… Another small glucose drop late late last night but it was a slo-mo so I was able to control it only going a bit over my carb and calorie goals. I am still working it through. I thought I was safe for the night. It occurred at about 2:30 a.m. I can, however, see that it is improving a bit in its intensity. I’ll keep at it so that it does not stand in the way of my weight loss goals. #notgivingup

    Day 74 – 02/03 …….192.6…… Superbowl. It could have been worse. Lasagna but no starchy snacks.
    Day 75 – 02/04 …….192.3…… I wish I could take proper credit for the drop on the scale but I can’t. Gripping stomach pain yesterday and last night. Flu? Pancreatitis or gall bladder? Not sure, but I am cautiously optimistic for today. Taking it slow.
    Day 76 – 02/05 …….192.6…… Still ill. I am not eating much. Fluid retention from sodium and lack of TMI. Today I will work on water. I will still keep it a bit low fat to help relieve gall bladder and pancreas. A bit afraid to eat anything at all but I am going to work on it today and see how it goes.
    Day 77 – 02/06 …….192.1…… Starting now for the next 10 days, I am going to try something new in the hopes of helping my gall bladder, my glucose numbers, yet still my weight. I will focus more on my calories and (a little) less on my carbs. I am hoping to rest my gall bladder from excess fat, raise my glucose numbers a bit but still see something positive on the scale. We’ll see how this experiment goes.
    Day 78 – 02/07 …….192.1…… Day one of new plan. This new plan will probably be temporary in nature. A few weeks, a few months? Not sure yet, but I’ve got to work with my medical issures at this time, that’s #1.

    I'm Trina. 54 and 5'4".

    I am would love to reach my ultimate goal and maintenance in these 100 days. But am mostly wanting to be mindful, healthy and accountable. Chemo treatments will run through the beginning of February, so movement and healthy eating, and lots of water will be important goals as well. Good luck everyone!

    Day 82: -- 02/11 141.5 Stress eating yesterday. I failed to breathe adequately yesterday during radiation, or the computer failed, but one way or another they sent me home without radiation. This potentially throws a wrench in the spring break plans as I won't finish til Monday during spring break. My lovely 17 year old son was so sweet. He definitely thought my health should come first and that skipping the last treatment would be pretty dang stupid.


    Day 83: -- 02/12 142 -- Ate better yesterday and got my walk in, but it was a really stressful afternoon. I ended up on the radiation table for 90 minutes with my arms up over my head while they recalibrated and fussed around to get the machine to work. All I had to do was breathe, and occasionally take in a deep breath and hold it. Apparently that was more than I could handle. By 60 minutes in I was seriously melting down, light headed and my arms were dead and in serious pain. I tried yoga breathing, meditating, prayer and could not get past it. They gave me one break (in which I did melt down) and then I managed to get through the final 30 minutes and they did finally do the first treatment. The appointment ran an hour over and I was supposed to pick up my son and bring him to the dentist. Of course I didn't have my phone and had no idea of the time anyway. Luckily he called my husband and was only 15 minutes late. Wish me luck today.

    Ending Weight Last Round: 186.8
    Day 01 – 11/22 ……185.6……Off to a good start with very careful menu planning yesterday and a walk that was extra long. Good luck to everyone this round! This challenge will probably be the hardest of the entire year because of all the holidays. We can do this!
    Day 02 – 11/23 ……185.2…… Lunch yesterday with a friend but still down 0.4. Happy with that. Dinner tonight with a different friend but they promised to make it low carb friendly so we shall see!
    Day 03 – 11/24 ……185.0…… A small & welcomed drop.
    Day 04 – 11/25 ...….183.6…… Thrilled with today. Tomorrow & Wednesday brings Big City travel to a country bumpkin like me. I have to admit it, I am already looking forward to restaurants & treats. I’ve decided to pick one day to contain myself, and the other to indulge. My goal is to be more mindful tomorrow (Day 1 of travel).
    Day 05 – 11/26 ……184.0…… Travel Day canceled until tomorrow. I have NO IDEA why my weight fluctuated up. Perfect eating day yesterday & a ton of extra calorie burn. Not enough water, could that be it? Never enough sleep-in the 4 hour range again but that is typical for me.
    Day 06 – 11/27 ……187.8…… This is an after-travel weigh in. I ended up traveling yesterday after all. But today’s travel cancelled. Thank Goodness for that because I cannot afford another restaurant and I’m not talking about money here! Mad at my scale and a little at myself. I swear carbs are out to get me! Portion control was good. Choices sucked. This is what mashed potatoes & gravy and dinner rolls look like on a scale!
    Day 07 – 11/28 ……185.6…… A Whoosh back down after a very low calorie & low carb day filled with extra long exercise/activity. I’m working for this! My feast is not until Saturday so I am already hanging my head in shame for anticipation of that dreaded upcoming Sunday weigh-in. Even so, I will enjoy it but not let it be the start of my usual fall/winter downhill spiral.
    Day 08 – 11/29 ……183.6…… Worked hard for this so I’m feeling pretty rewarded right now. Our Thanksgiving is tomorrow. I don’t want to blow it, but I’ll be honest, I can’t wait for mashed potatoes and pie!
    Day 09 – 11/30 ……182.4…… Today is Our Large Family Thanksgiving Day Dinner Celebration. I am thrilled with the scale. I’ve banked calories & carbs for the dinner & desserts (if such a thing is really possible). It may not help on the overnight, but in the grand scheme of things I hope it will make a difference. I will enjoy today but I will not let it become the downward spiral that usually starts for me on Thanksgiving and doesn’t end until after Easter. Not this year! No Ma’am! No Sir! Not This Year!

    Weight Loss in November (9 days)……………….. – 4.4 lbs Lost.

    Day 10 – 12/01 ……187.4…… After Turkey Day weigh-in. I gained 5 pounds overnight eating child-sized portions. I burned more calories than I ate. Carbs hate me, but that’s okay, I hate them too and I will be counting them carefully today.
    Day 11 – 12/02 ……183.2…… Finally TMI potty after 4 days of no action so that obviously helped, especially after a Thanksgiving Dinner on Saturday. Weight down 4 pounds overnight, but went up 5 pounds overnight so I still need to get rid of another pound to break even. However, I am pleased with this whoosh. Today will be a good day. School is reopened after 4 days so I can walk the school halls again and get some burning action in. I can’t wait!
    Day 12 – 12/03 ……183.6…… A normal fluctuation. Everything was on point yesterday – Calories, Carbs & Exercise.
    Day 13 – 12/04 ……182.6…… A pound down today. Happy with that. Tomorrow I travel to the city & Christmas shop. Long drive but lots of walking once I get there. Restaurants will set me back but I will conquer those scale increases quick enough!
    Day 14 – 12/05 …….184.6……This is what sloppy joes look like on me. But it was nice having dinner at a friend’s house. Long travel trip today in car. Tomorrow weigh-in will not be pretty but it will be temporary.
    Day 15 – 12/06 …….186.6……After travel weigh-in.
    Day 16 – 12/07 …….187.4……And more food today when I attend my DGS #4’s birthday party. He is turning 2.

    Day 21 – 12/12 …….186.6……I love it when I stick to my food plan because it really works. Even with the complete lack of exercise during my wrapping marathon (which is not over yet!)
    Day 22 – 12/13 …….184.0…… Another good day on the scale although there was absolutely no exercise except the monumental wrapping projects which are ongoing!
    Day 23 – 12/14 …….183.4…… Yay. Another good day yesterday (except for exercise). More wrapping completed, but more to go! Super hungry today. All my food is outside in boxes because my new fridge was just delivered. Until I can get the food back inside and placed into the new fridge, God Help Me from getting into my cabinets because THAT is never good. Cabinets are all processed, high carb, high calorie foods that belong to my son, I have no business getting into them!
    Day 24 – 12/15 …….183.6…… Normal fluctuation . No worries. I had an unexpected trip out of town today so my scale will bounce back up tomorrow from a high carb lunch but it’s nothing I can’t handle.
    Day 25 – 12/16 …….186.6……After Travel weigh-in. No movement, big lunch. This is where the going downhill really begins. More travel today as I take my brother to the city for Doctors and shopping. Lunch out is inevitable. Can I not turn it into a binge tonight? I’m really going to try!
    Day 26 – 12/17 …….187.7…… After travel weigh-in (again). Otherwise, no comment.
    Day 27 – 12/18 …….188.2…… From bad to worse. More wrapping today which is little to no steps. Lack of exercise is definitely not helping!

    Day 33 – 12/24 …….192.0…… Disasterous. The big Family Dinner is tomorrow followed by travel on the 26th or 27th. A beautiful time of year, but my body can’t wait for January to get here. Corrupted!

    Day 38 – 12/29 …….190.4…… I had a fabulous day yesterday with the diet plan, but had to power through some pretty strong hunger late last night. Atkins meal bar kept it reasonable calories and low net carb. Fairlife milk coated my tummy and I felt very full while staying in plan. I was very low on fiber in my macros so I knew the snack bar would help with that nicely. I probably should have eaten more protein for dinner. Trending back down so I’m happy to have gotten the ball rolling again.
    Day 39 – 12/30 …….190.4…… Holding steady which is pretty good considering my movie night with my son last night. Today I am going for any loss, even 0.1 . I’ve got to rid myself of the Christmas indulgences that are making my pants tight.
    Day 40 – 12/31 …….191.2…… The candy dish fought me and won AFTER I had already eaten all my meals and snacks for the day. Have a safe New Years Eve everyone!

    Day 42 – 01/02 …….188.2.…… Recommitting myself.
    Day 43 – 01/03 …….190.0.…… A very fast glucose drop (I’m type 2 Diabetic) caused a quick eating spree putting me over cals & carbs. This happens on occasion, but especially when I am not careful to regulate the time of my meals. I am working carefully on this today although still not feeling very well.
    Day 44 – 01/04 …….190.0……
    Day 45 – 01/05 …….192.4 …… Food festival for the crew for helping me “undecorated” my business and home and store all the Christmas stuff. I shouldn’t have partaken. Today I clean cabins, redecorate my house with my regular décor (without assistance), and DRINK MY WATER for Goodness sakes!
    Day 46 – 01/06 …….191.8…… Better, but I still need to reduce the carbs. Calories & activity/exercise going well.
    Day 47 – 01/07 …….190.6…… Tons of calorie burn yesterday helped tremendously.

    Day 49 – 01/09 …….194.0…… Epic fail during travel yesterday. Lots of sitting and a restaurant was involved. The meal was nice but not worth it.
    Day 50 – 01/10 …….194.2…… I am experiencing severe glucose drops (T2D). The drops seem to come at night AFTER I’ve had my allotted calories and carbs. Correcting is adding carbs & cals that I didn’t expect. Reducing earlier in the day will only make the drops more severe. I am going to have to tip-toe around this until it stabilizes. I’m going to pull out my bag of tricks. I’ll do whatever it takes to restart my journey.
    Day 51 – 01/11 …….194.2…… Working hard on the glucose problem but need to work on the water more too. Holding steady is a good thing at this point.
    Day 52 – 01/12 …….194.2…… Steady weight, steady glucose. At least for yesterday. I will continue to take necessary small steps today to ease back into low carbs and calories.
    Day 53 – 01/13 …….195.4…… Lots of activity and exercise. Too much food. It’s true…..You can’t outrun the fork.
    Day 54 – 01/14 …….192.0…… I have been “easing” back into the lower carb & calorie lifestyle. Taking it slow became very necessary during some pretty severe glucose drops. I am happy to say that yesterday was much better with only one small drop on the glucose meter. I was able to stick to plan much better without getting sick or frenzied. Lets hope this progress continues because I am really REALLY wanting to get things back to “normal” for me.
    Day 55 – 01/15 …….189.7…… Another nice drop. Worked hard for this walking over 10 miles yesterday and over 23,000 steps. First complete good day on the glucose level staying steady. My body is readjusting back to the steady “diet”. Yay!
    Day 56 – 01/16 …….189.7…… Scale holding steady after 2 days of good drops. Yesterday was a good day. My DGS age 11 walked with me at the school.
    Day 57 – 01/17 …….189.9…… Showing a normal fluctuation. Diet on plan but no planned exercise yesterday due to workload. I did get in my 10,000 steps but little more.
    Day 58 – 01/18 …….189.9…… I’m on track with meals & exercise. I’ve just GOT TO watch those snacks!
    Day 59 – 01/19 …….189.7…… A drop in the bucket is better than no drop at all! Social gathering food last night did not “hurt” as bad as I thought. We’ll see if anything shows up tomorrow, or if I’ve dodged a bullet.
    Day 60 – 01/20 …….189.7…… Keeping the blood sugars slow and steady as I slowly get back into a routine of weight loss. It’s all good, I know what to do to get back to routine SAFELY.
    Day 61 – 01/21 …….189.6…… A little high on calories but carbs weren’t too bad for my easing back in plan. Sugars stayed level, if not a bit high. No scary drop last night but I didn’t expect one because I overdid the snack a little in fear (again). I’ll get my good macros back soon. I’m just not jumping too quickly. A nice little drop on the scale was nice to see this morning.
    Day 62 – 01/22 …….189.6…… A small episode on the glucose last night left me a bit over on carbs but the calories were good and the drop in glucose less frenzied and more manageable.
    Day 63 – 01/23 …….189.9…… An exercise rest day but I got lots of work at home done which is a nice start to many projects. I went over on cals & carbs yesterday but it could have been worse. Kicking myself in butt though because this was not a fast glucose drop scenario, it was a lack of willpower when cooking my son’s dinner. Ugggg.
    Day 64 – 01/24 …….190.8…… Oopsie Daisy
    Day 65 – 01/25 …….191.6…… An extremely scary drop in blood glucose which almost required an ambulance. Shoveling in the carbs brought it back up along with the numbers on the scale. Can’t win for losing (or for gaining in this case). Feeling better today but being careful. I gotta somehow fix this within being put on insulin shots.
    Day 66 – 01/26 …….190.0…… A better night. Keeping the faith.
    Day 67 – 01/27 …….190.0…… I can’t get into the school to walk on Saturdays & Sundays because it is closed. That is where our community walks in the winter as we have no malls, big box stores or gyms in our little rural farming community. So I have not had major exercise since Friday. I’m glad to have maintained.
    Day 68 – 01/28 …….189.9…… Travel today. Fingers crossed for strength & mindfulness. I expect some water retention after a restaurant meal, I can handle that. Please no true fat!
    Day 69 – 01/29 …….191.8…… Pizza Hut yesterday while traveling with my brother for his medical. His choice of restaurant. I kept it reigned in for the most part but fluid retention is obvious today. I will work on that today.

    Day 71 – 01/31 …….191.6…… Another small glucose drop late late last night but it was a slo-mo so I was able to control it only going a bit over my carb and calorie goals. I am still working it through. I thought I was safe for the night. It occurred at about 2:30 a.m. I can, however, see that it is improving a bit in its intensity. I’ll keep at it so that it does not stand in the way of my weight loss goals. #notgivingup

    Day 73 – 02/02 …….192.0…… Underestimated yesterday’s cals & carbs until later and closer inspection. A stupid mistake so this is not too unexpected. I am going to try to be mindful today on Super bowl Sunday. Enjoy your day everyone, wherever you are!
    Day 74 – 02/03 …….192.6…… Superbowl. It could have been worse. Lasagna but no starchy snacks.
    Day 75 – 02/04 …….192.3…… I wish I could take proper credit for the drop on the scale but I can’t. Gripping stomach pain yesterday and last night. Flu? Pancreatitis or gall bladder? Not sure, but I am cautiously optimistic for today. Taking it slow.
    Day 76 – 02/05 …….192.6…… Still ill. I am not eating much. Fluid retention from sodium and lack of TMI. Today I will work on water. I will still keep it a bit low fat to help relieve gall bladder and pancreas. A bit afraid to eat anything at all but I am going to work on it today and see how it goes.
    Day 77 – 02/06 …….192.1…… Starting now for the next 10 days, I am going to try something new in the hopes of helping my gall bladder, my glucose numbers, yet still my weight. I will focus more on my calories and (a little) less on my carbs. I am hoping to rest my gall bladder from excess fat, raise my glucose numbers a bit but still see something positive on the scale. We’ll see how this experiment goes.
    Day 78 – 02/07 …….192.1…… Day one of new plan. This new plan will probably be temporary in nature. A few weeks, a few months? Not sure yet, but I’ve got to work with my medical issures at this time, that’s #1.
    Day 79 – 02/08 …….192.0…… Glucose running a bit high because of added carbs (to avoid the too lows). Still tweaking. Scale down a touch. I was over calorie by just a tiny bit (used to counting carbs instead), but I’m working on the formulas from day to day.
    Day 80 – 02/09 …….193.0…… Still trying to sort this new plan out. I was over calorie yesterday so this is not a surprise. I travel out of town tomorrow. That is not going to help.

    Day 01 – 11/22 ……185.6……Off to a good start with very careful menu planning yesterday and a walk that was extra long. Good luck to everyone this round! This challenge will probably be the hardest of the entire year because of all the holidays. We can do this!
    Day 02 – 11/23 ……185.2…… Lunch yesterday with a friend but still down 0.4. Happy with that. Dinner tonight with a different friend but they promised to make it low carb friendly so we shall see!
    Day 03 – 11/24 ……185.0…… A small & welcomed drop.
    Day 04 – 11/25 ...….183.6…… Thrilled with today. Tomorrow & Wednesday brings Big City travel to a country bumpkin like me. I have to admit it, I am already looking forward to restaurants & treats. I’ve decided to pick one day to contain myself, and the other to indulge. My goal is to be more mindful tomorrow (Day 1 of travel).
    Day 05 – 11/26 ……184.0…… Travel Day canceled until tomorrow. I have NO IDEA why my weight fluctuated up. Perfect eating day yesterday & a ton of extra calorie burn. Not enough water, could that be it? Never enough sleep-in the 4 hour range again but that is typical for me.
    Day 06 – 11/27 ……187.8…… This is an after-travel weigh in. I ended up traveling yesterday after all. But today’s travel cancelled. Thank Goodness for that because I cannot afford another restaurant and I’m not talking about money here! Mad at my scale and a little at myself. I swear carbs are out to get me! Portion control was good. Choices sucked. This is what mashed potatoes & gravy and dinner rolls look like on a scale!
    Day 07 – 11/28 ……185.6…… A Whoosh back down after a very low calorie & low carb day filled with extra long exercise/activity. I’m working for this! My feast is not until Saturday so I am already hanging my head in shame for anticipation of that dreaded upcoming Sunday weigh-in. Even so, I will enjoy it but not let it be the start of my usual fall/winter downhill spiral.
    Day 08 – 11/29 ……183.6…… Worked hard for this so I’m feeling pretty rewarded right now. Our Thanksgiving is tomorrow. I don’t want to blow it, but I’ll be honest, I can’t wait for mashed potatoes and pie!
    Day 09 – 11/30 ……182.4…… Today is Our Large Family Thanksgiving Day Dinner Celebration. I am thrilled with the scale. I’ve banked calories & carbs for the dinner & desserts (if such a thing is really possible). It may not help on the overnight, but in the grand scheme of things I hope it will make a difference. I will enjoy today but I will not let it become the downward spiral that usually starts for me on Thanksgiving and doesn’t end until after Easter. Not this year! No Ma’am! No Sir! Not This Year!

    Weight Loss in November (9 days)……………….. – 4.4 lbs Lost.

    Day 10 – 12/01 ……187.4…… After Turkey Day weigh-in. I gained 5 pounds overnight eating child-sized portions. I burned more calories than I ate. Carbs hate me, but that’s okay, I hate them too and I will be counting them carefully today.
    Day 11 – 12/02 ……183.2…… Finally TMI potty after 4 days of no action so that obviously helped, especially after a Thanksgiving Dinner on Saturday. Weight down 4 pounds overnight, but went up 5 pounds overnight so I still need to get rid of another pound to break even. However, I am pleased with this whoosh. Today will be a good day. School is reopened after 4 days so I can walk the school halls again and get some burning action in. I can’t wait!
    Day 12 – 12/03 ……183.6…… A normal fluctuation. Everything was on point yesterday – Calories, Carbs & Exercise.
    Day 13 – 12/04 ……182.6…… A pound down today. Happy with that. Tomorrow I travel to the city & Christmas shop. Long drive but lots of walking once I get there. Restaurants will set me back but I will conquer those scale increases quick enough!
    Day 14 – 12/05 …….184.6……This is what sloppy joes look like on me. But it was nice having dinner at a friend’s house. Long travel trip today in car. Tomorrow weigh-in will not be pretty but it will be temporary.
    Day 15 – 12/06 …….186.6……After travel weigh-in.
    Day 16 – 12/07 …….187.4……And more food today when I attend my DGS #4’s birthday party. He is turning 2.
    Day 17 – 12/08 …….188.4…… No comment.
    Day 18 – 12/09 …….188.2…… I’ll take what I can get!
    Day 19 – 12/10 …….188.8…… Dinner at my friend’s. She served Pasta to a person eating low-carb! Did she sabotage me? Did I sabotage myself? I think both! Today will be a very strict day!
    Day 20 – 12/11 …….188.8…… Decorating finally done. Now for the wrapping marathon which began last night!
    Day 21 – 12/12 …….186.6……I love it when I stick to my food plan because it really works. Even with the complete lack of exercise during my wrapping marathon (which is not over yet!)
    Day 22 – 12/13 …….184.0…… Another good day on the scale although there was absolutely no exercise except the monumental wrapping projects which are ongoing!
    Day 23 – 12/14 …….183.4…… Yay. Another good day yesterday (except for exercise). More wrapping completed, but more to go! Super hungry today. All my food is outside in boxes because my new fridge was just delivered. Until I can get the food back inside and placed into the new fridge, God Help Me from getting into my cabinets because THAT is never good. Cabinets are all processed, high carb, high calorie foods that belong to my son, I have no business getting into them!
    Day 24 – 12/15 …….183.6…… Normal fluctuation . No worries. I had an unexpected trip out of town today so my scale will bounce back up tomorrow from a high carb lunch but it’s nothing I can’t handle.
    Day 25 – 12/16 …….186.6……After Travel weigh-in. No movement, big lunch. This is where the going downhill really begins. More travel today as I take my brother to the city for Doctors and shopping. Lunch out is inevitable. Can I not turn it into a binge tonight? I’m really going to try!
    Day 26 – 12/17 …….187.7…… After travel weigh-in (again). Otherwise, no comment.
    Day 27 – 12/18 …….188.2…… From bad to worse. More wrapping today which is little to no steps. Lack of exercise is definitely not helping!

    Day 29 – 12/20 …….191.4…… I’m going to have to take drastic measures tomorrow.
    Day 30 – 12/21 …….191.4…… A better day today, but as shown on the scale reading, yesterday….notsomuch!
    Day 31 – 12/22 …….187.8…… Better, just like I promised. However, DGS#3 has a birthday party today (3rd birthday party this month for family members). Pizza, cake & ice cream. I am looking forward to the Pizza. Haven’t had it in awhile. However, my commitment to myself is that I will not turn it into an all night binge on EVERYTHING I’ve been craving. Wish me luck!
    Day 32 – 12/23 …….190.2…… Babysitting DGS #4 today (age 2). I am going to do my fudge and baking today (if he will let me!) No taste-testing. Today will be a low cal/low carb day.
    Day 33 – 12/24 …….192.0…… Disasterous. The big Family Dinner is tomorrow followed by travel on the 26th or 27th. A beautiful time of year, but my body can’t wait for January to get here. Corrupted!
    Day 34 – 12/25 …….192.6…… Merry Christmas everyone!
    Day 35 – 12/26 …….195.4…… No words except that now the work begins!
    Day 36 – 12/27 …….195.4…… I wasn’t going for maintenance.
    Day 37 – 12/28 …….194.0…… Better on the scale, but not much better on the food choices. I just ate less of the junk. Today I am aiming for healthy low carb & low calorie choices.
    Day 38 – 12/29 …….190.4…… I had a fabulous day yesterday with the diet plan, but had to power through some pretty strong hunger late last night. Atkins meal bar kept it reasonable calories and low net carb. Fairlife milk coated my tummy and I felt very full while staying in plan. I was very low on fiber in my macros so I knew the snack bar would help with that nicely. I probably should have eaten more protein for dinner. Trending back down so I’m happy to have gotten the ball rolling again.
    Day 39 – 12/30 …….190.4…… Holding steady which is pretty good considering my movie night with my son last night. Today I am going for any loss, even 0.1 . I’ve got to rid myself of the Christmas indulgences that are making my pants tight.
    Day 40 – 12/31 …….191.2…… The candy dish fought me and won AFTER I had already eaten all my meals and snacks for the day. Have a safe New Years Eve everyone!

    Day 41 – 01/01 …….189.2…… Happy New Year Everyone!
    Day 42 – 01/02 …….188.2.…… Recommitting myself.
    Day 43 – 01/03 …….190.0.…… A very fast glucose drop (I’m type 2 Diabetic) caused a quick eating spree putting me over cals & carbs. This happens on occasion, but especially when I am not careful to regulate the time of my meals. I am working carefully on this today although still not feeling very well.
    Day 44 – 01/04 …….190.0……
    Day 45 – 01/05 …….192.4 …… Food festival for the crew for helping me “undecorated” my business and home and store all the Christmas stuff. I shouldn’t have partaken. Today I clean cabins, redecorate my house with my regular décor (without assistance), and DRINK MY WATER for Goodness sakes!
    Day 46 – 01/06 …….191.8…… Better, but I still need to reduce the carbs. Calories & activity/exercise going well.
    Day 47 – 01/07 …….190.6…… Tons of calorie burn yesterday helped tremendously.
    Day 48 – 01/08 …….190.6…… No change due to no improvement.
    Day 49 – 01/09 …….194.0…… Epic fail during travel yesterday. Lots of sitting and a restaurant was involved. The meal was nice but not worth it.
    Day 50 – 01/10 …….194.2…… I am experiencing severe glucose drops (T2D). The drops seem to come at night AFTER I’ve had my allotted calories and carbs. Correcting is adding carbs & cals that I didn’t expect. Reducing earlier in the day will only make the drops more severe. I am going to have to tip-toe around this until it stabilizes. I’m going to pull out my bag of tricks. I’ll do whatever it takes to restart my journey.
    Day 51 – 01/11 …….194.2…… Working hard on the glucose problem but need to work on the water more too. Holding steady is a good thing at this point.
    Day 52 – 01/12 …….194.2…… Steady weight, steady glucose. At least for yesterday. I will continue to take necessary small steps today to ease back into low carbs and calories.
    Day 53 – 01/13 …….195.4…… Lots of activity and exercise. Too much food. It’s true…..You can’t outrun the fork.
    Day 54 – 01/14 …….192.0…… I have been “easing” back into the lower carb & calorie lifestyle. Taking it slow became very necessary during some pretty severe glucose drops. I am happy to say that yesterday was much better with only one small drop on the glucose meter. I was able to stick to plan much better without getting sick or frenzied. Lets hope this progress continues because I am really REALLY wanting to get things back to “normal” for me.
    Day 55 – 01/15 …….189.7…… Another nice drop. Worked hard for this walking over 10 miles yesterday and over 23,000 steps. First complete good day on the glucose level staying steady. My body is readjusting back to the steady “diet”. Yay!
    Day 56 – 01/16 …….189.7…… Scale holding steady after 2 days of good drops. Yesterday was a good day. My DGS age 11 walked with me at the school.
    Day 57 – 01/17 …….189.9…… Showing a normal fluctuation. Diet on plan but no planned exercise yesterday due to workload. I did get in my 10,000 steps but little more.
    Day 58 – 01/18 …….189.9…… I’m on track with meals & exercise. I’ve just GOT TO watch those snacks!
    Day 59 – 01/19 …….189.7…… A drop in the bucket is better than no drop at all! Social gathering food last night did not “hurt” as bad as I thought. We’ll see if anything shows up tomorrow, or if I’ve dodged a bullet.
    Day 60 – 01/20 …….189.7…… Keeping the blood sugars slow and steady as I slowly get back into a routine of weight loss. It’s all good, I know what to do to get back to routine SAFELY.
    Day 61 – 01/21 …….189.6…… A little high on calories but carbs weren’t too bad for my easing back in plan. Sugars stayed level, if not a bit high. No scary drop last night but I didn’t expect one because I overdid the snack a little in fear (again). I’ll get my good macros back soon. I’m just not jumping too quickly. A nice little drop on the scale was nice to see this morning.
    Day 62 – 01/22 …….189.6…… A small episode on the glucose last night left me a bit over on carbs but the calories were good and the drop in glucose less frenzied and more manageable.
    Day 63 – 01/23 …….189.9…… An exercise rest day but I got lots of work at home done which is a nice start to many projects. I went over on cals & carbs yesterday but it could have been worse. Kicking myself in butt though because this was not a fast glucose drop scenario, it was a lack of willpower when cooking my son’s dinner. Ugggg.
    Day 64 – 01/24 …….190.8…… Oopsie Daisy
    Day 65 – 01/25 …….191.6…… An extremely scary drop in blood glucose which almost required an ambulance. Shoveling in the carbs brought it back up along with the numbers on the scale. Can’t win for losing (or for gaining in this case). Feeling better today but being careful. I gotta somehow fix this within being put on insulin shots.
    Day 66 – 01/26 …….190.0…… A better night. Keeping the faith.
    Day 67 – 01/27 …….190.0…… I can’t get into the school to walk on Saturdays & Sundays because it is closed. That is where our community walks in the winter as we have no malls, big box stores or gyms in our little rural farming community. So I have not had major exercise since Friday. I’m glad to have maintained.
    Day 68 – 01/28 …….189.9…… Travel today. Fingers crossed for strength & mindfulness. I expect some water retention after a restaurant meal, I can handle that. Please no true fat!
    Day 69 – 01/29 …….191.8…… Pizza Hut yesterday while traveling with my brother for his medical. His choice of restaurant. I kept it reigned in for the most part but fluid retention is obvious today. I will work on that today.

    Day 71 – 01/31 …….191.6…… Another small glucose drop late late last night but it was a slo-mo so I was able to control it only going a bit over my carb and calorie goals. I am still working it through. I thought I was safe for the night. It occurred at about 2:30 a.m. I can, however, see that it is improving a bit in its intensity. I’ll keep at it so that it does not stand in the way of my weight loss goals. #notgivingup

    Day 72 – 02/01 …….191.6…… Over calorie and carb yesterday but good exercise. I hope it don’t show up on the scale in the next few days. More cals out than in, but still not within plan.
    Day 73 – 02/02 …….192.0…… Underestimated yesterday’s cals & carbs until later and closer inspection. A stupid mistake so this is not too unexpected. I am going to try to be mindful today on Super bowl Sunday. Enjoy your day everyone, wherever you are!
    Day 74 – 02/03 …….192.6…… Superbowl. It could have been worse. Lasagna but no starchy snacks.
    Day 75 – 02/04 …….192.3…… I wish I could take proper credit for the drop on the scale but I can’t. Gripping stomach pain yesterday and last night. Flu? Pancreatitis or gall bladder? Not sure, but I am cautiously optimistic for today. Taking it slow.
    Day 76 – 02/05 …….192.6…… Still ill. I am not eating much. Fluid retention from sodium and lack of TMI. Today I will work on water. I will still keep it a bit low fat to help relieve gall bladder and pancreas. A bit afraid to eat anything at all but I am going to work on it today and see how it goes.
    Day 77 – 02/06 …….192.1…… Starting now for the next 10 days, I am going to try something new in the hopes of helping my gall bladder, my glucose numbers, yet still my weight. I will focus more on my calories and (a little) less on my carbs. I am hoping to rest my gall bladder from excess fat, raise my glucose numbers a bit but still see something positive on the scale. We’ll see how this experiment goes.
    Day 78 – 02/07 …….192.1…… Day one of new plan. This new plan will probably be temporary in nature. A few weeks, a few months? Not sure yet, but I’ve got to work with my medical issures at this time, that’s #1.
    Day 79 – 02/08 …….192.0…… Glucose running a bit high because of added carbs (to avoid the too lows). Still tweaking. Scale down a touch. I was over calorie by just a tiny bit (used to counting carbs instead), but I’m working on the formulas from day to day.
    Day 80 – 02/09 …….193.0…… Still trying to sort this new plan out. I was over calorie yesterday so this is not a surprise. I travel out of town tomorrow. That is not going to help.
    Day 81 – 02/10 …….193.1…… Normal fluctuation. I traveled today so tomorrow won’t be pretty.
    Day 82 – 02/11 …….194.8…… Way too much of everything yesterday during travel. High Cal. High Carb. Low Movement. Too much sitting in car. Low water intake. A complete disaserous & unsuccessful day. Ground zero today!
    Day 83 – 02/12 …….194.6…… A small drop for which I am grateful.
    Day 84 – 02/13 …….194.2…… My glucose numbers are coming back down slowly as adding in carbs has affected them. My weight is dropping slowly. I am still focusing more on cals right now, but tweaking carbs to aid in weight loss but also to keep my T2D in check. It’s a science and I’m doing as much experimenting as is safely possible right now. Taking the changes slowly.
