Did you have issues with excess skin?0
-
I have some excess skin but not a lot. I attribute that to working out frequently!2

Wow! You look absolutely sensational! Proof that it can be done, so thank you for sharing. I'm on my journey to lose almost as much as you have and am nearing the half way mark. It's great to see your before and after pictures to keep me motivated. Fantastic achievement, you look like a different person.2

I want to congratulate you, and thank you for sharing your journey. That is an amazing transformation. I to lost 200+ pounds after a RNY- but had a regain after 2 years... I am now 5 years out. When my (Now soon to be Ex) wife asked me for a divorce.. It snapped a switch in my head, that in all my years of nutrition coaching/Dr'.s appt's/Bariatric Surgeries never worked. I now eat clean, low carb high protein... and exercise 5 days a week. Your pics look great... but the most important thing I now know is how are you mentally? You have to be 110% committed for the rest of your life to achieve the long terms goals that you want. Success is NOT a number.. It is in mentally how you feel, and your ability to enjoy a healthy, active lifestyle! I've had 2 Bariatric procedures in my life, and spent a lifetime(so far) very unhappy because I could never do what I wanted to do.... No more....39 lbs in 39 days right now! And I am just getting rolling! I hope you enjoy your day!5

I've got a lot to loose myself. i'm 344lb at the moment and 20lb down so far. seeing other people who have done it is a real inspiration to know its possible. Well done again3 -
did you work on emotional stuff? I only lost 40 lbs but kept regaining it, I really had to face some stuff in my life that I didnt want to, very toxic family. Like that saying stuff your face or face your stuff.3

That is such an achievement. Congratulations!!!1

Wow!! Well done on all your hard work 😁1

How many carbs per day did you allow? Did you allow breads or fruit or grain?1
-
Thanks for all the love!
1) Yes you have to work on all the head stuff and find new ways to cope. I now look at food as fuel and not an emotional crutch.
2) I aim for around 50g carbs a day. As I get closer to maintenance rather than losing, I have just started allowing myself some fruit and lower carb bread options occasionally.
3) For all of you just starting out, you got this!!5 -
You are an absolute rock star!
