this is more an emotional based NSV and may sound strange but....I look forward to Spring & Summer this year, for the 1st time in 17 years. I don't feel embarrassed or ashamed of my appearance anymore. My anxiety has improved tremendously. I've worked hard this past 11 months and this is a sweet little victory, TO FEEL NORMAL AGAIN.44

Saturday, I had a very low movement day, full of celebration and food. I overshot calories by about 1500, and it was not the end of the world. Yesterday I reduced fats in my food and maintained volume with veggies and had a nearly 700 calorie deficit, and I'll do something similar today or tomorrow and be totally back on track in less than a week with no guilt, anxiety, or flailing.
Plus, I had a really good time on Saturday. Even if I DID gain half a pound without a plan to catch up, it would have been worth it. Since there IS a plan and it's totally not painful, it was DEFINITELY worth it.20 -
I wish I would have started taking more complete measurements when I started with all this back in May...sigh. Am now taking monthly body measurements, and in addition to droppng 2.2 pounds in Feb, I also lost -1 inch from both waist and hips, and gained +3/4 inch on chest, +1 inch on shoulders, +1/4 inch on both calf and biceps. Am starting to wonder if the new belt I got for Christmas is going to last the year!

Today was half walk/half jog 5.83 miles at a 10:46 per mile pace. I walked the steeper uphills, but I jogged the gradual ones. According to 2 calorie calculators, that’s about 750 calories. Another said it’s 900...
Threw out all my XXL shirts and 40 waist pants because I’m never letting that happen again.19 -
Not exactly "Non-Scale", but here goes...
My successful weekend was this: I went to a strange fund raiser called "Mouse Races". This is where you bet on rodents that drag race across a straight track and raise money for a charity. Anyway, my NSV is that everyone brings copious amounts of unhealthy food to these. EXCEPT ME! I brought 2 pounds of fresh strawberries and a 12 oz. bag of baby carrots. While I did sample a few of the snack foods others brought (just to be polite of course 😆) I limited most of my intake to my healthy options. So here on Monday morning I'm weighing the same as I did last Friday. None of the weekend weight gain I used to experience.17 -
So many happened this week. I packed away all my large leggings because they were starting to fall down during burpees, and broke out the mediums. I shaved 30 seconds off my mile time and ran a 7:17 min mile (9 months ago, my fastest time was around 10 mins), I can now do ten pushups in a row. And I tried on my old pair of size 8 jeans and they fit comfortably.21

the sleeves of a bunch of my shirts are too tight...I have not lost nor gained any weight besides the same 5lbs, but i lift weights. my arms have now grown too big for my shirts

Your words very much resonate with me. That feeling of normalcy. Being able to do small, everyday, mundane things that most people never once think about - without them being challenging or embarrassing - they are sweet indeed. Well done on your victory, Nighthawk!
For me, today's somewhat similarly themed NSV is that I don't have a feeling of dread about the change in temperature. We're having an unseasonably warm day, and instead of wondering if I'm going to croak from heatstroke by mid-May, I'm just enjoying the lovely weather.

I can not only palm the floor, but do so with my hands between my feet. And I'll be able to get to behind my heels once I finish getting rid of the belly. Yoga's easier every day as I lose.14

Today's NSV: I ran---yes, ran up this monster walking-bridge, both ways. Up and down, then up and down on the way back. Ran. Who knew that I'd like running? 6 months ago I would have laughed if someone said 'go for a run' and now, I've run a 5K and this crazy bridge.
FYI: I have no idea who those people are.

I bought some new clothes in a size smaller than I was fairly sure I was. They not only fit, the jeans are probably a little too big 16

Saw a lil thigh gap this morning! Not that that’s a big goal of mine, and I’m doing my squats and deadlifts, but hey, I love that these thighs don’t rub together anymore!14

Took back some T-shirts I gave to my wife because they were too tight. Now they’re loose or even baggy.16
