Old habit: 1-4 drinks/evening.
Goal: Ease into only drinking on Friday & Saturday! Consistently be AF 5 days a week. ( 22 AF / 31 days)
January- 15 AF / 27 days.
February - 17 AF / 29 days.
Mar 1- AF
5 -
March- 2/2 AF days6
-
Mar 1 - AF
Mar 2 - 1 mimosa
I like the accountability!9 -
As usual, I am going to try for 16-20 AF days for the month.
I had 18AF days for January
I had a surprising (and record setting for me) 21AF days for the short month of February!
Sunday March 01 - AF - The month kind of came in like a lamb out West.
Monday March 02 - AF - Tomorrow is my designated drinks day, we'll see. It could have been the strategy that led to 2 AF days in a row, knowing that I have a drinks day coming up. Definitely going to stick with my newest rule to have at least 2 AF days in a row in between which will add up over the month.
Running tally: 2AF day out of 2 days so far.9 -
Hey! Another day AF for me.
Mar 1: AF
Mar 2: AF
So far in March 2/2 days AF6 -
Nice to see you here in March again @KrazedBemused congrats on the weight loss in Feb.
@whitpauly how have you been? Had not heard those 24hour counts lately. Welcome over to March.
Was that @forestdweller1 I saw sneak in the back door? Great to hear from you and to know you and Catpuccino are doing well!
@helen_goldthorpe I like your approach to March this time. More laid back..
Welcome @laxnmom to our thread. Take at look on page one here for lots of helpful less alcohol tidbits.
Everyone one else looks good and doing well. I have to admit my one unplanned leap year hot coffee with Godiva chocolate liqueur kept me from getting my normal lovely beauty sleep Saturday night. Hate that feeling.
I am off to work, so I am turning the thread over to you folks to chat it up. Have a great day. 😎

I'm in! I've got several running races coming up, and I need to get serious about this, and quit thinking that I can train properly and still drink,7

2/3 days AF! Tonight was a planned drink day. 3 standard drinks with my girlfriend.8

Day 2 AF done! No cravings, no insomnia, no anxiety. Feeling good naturally is wonderful7

It's Tuesday! I slept the entire night without issue, I didn't go crazy on the sweets yesterday (although I allowed myself 3 sour belts), I drank a ton of water, and I crushed my workout too. Still no alcohol and no cravings. Looking forward to today being AF as well. Have a great day everyone!9

I’m still in, following this thread since January 2018. Yesterday marked 9 months sans alcohol for me. I don’t miss it and don’t really have any cravings, although we are going away for March Break and I am contemplating whether I might have a drink while on vacation. My 16 year old son is hyper aware of alcohol these days though, so that does serve as another deterrent for me (and my 14 year old daughter is watching, too...). I continue to value this thread and all those who contribute, thank you!11

Happy March!
I have been sick, so not checking in. Totally admit to having some wine the last two days to dull the body aches. I feel better today, and don't plan on having any alcohol today. Have my trusty carbonated lemon-infused water.
Goal for March is to have more AF days than not.
0/2 so far, but I readily admit that the glass of red wine did dull the body aches. Happy March all!!8 -

Good start to the month 3 days in and they have all been AF
January was 31 AF
February was 21 AF
Wow, I remember when those figures would have been reversed, still have the ongoing internal battle of good angel saying “great work” and not so good angel whispering “just 1 won’t hurt” (knowing full well it wouldn’t just be 1)
Ongoing self reflection on how well I’m feeling, both physically and mentally, is a driving force to my results, that and this thread which gives me support and insight that I have others to call on if needed 👍😀👍9 -
Finally got a good night’s sleep last night! Hoping for another tonight.
3/1 - more like 3 drinks 🤦♀️
3/2 - AF drinking my tea and hoping for good sleep tonight
3/3 - AF drinking my tea
