    Day 1: 11/22 - 158.1

    November result: 0.4lb loss

    December result: Gain 3.1 pounds

    Day 71, Fri, 1/31: 159.7

    January result: Gain 0.2 pounds

    Day 72, Sat, 2/1: 158.1 - exactly the same as Day 1 of 100 days
    Day 100, Sat, 2/29: 154.4
    February result: Loss 3.7

    Total loss over 100 days: 3.7 pounds

    Day 1 - Sunday March 01.20 - 155.3 - up almost a pound from yesterday.
    Day 2 - Monday March 02.20 - 156.8 - up again, but well within my goals. Going to stay diligent.

    Day 4 - Wednesday March 04.20 - 156.1
    Day 5 - Thursday March 05.20 - 154.8

    Day 14 - Saturday March 14.20 - 153.6 - On track for a better 100 days than the last, in which I lost 3.7 pounds in 100 days. Still a very long way from my Goal, but feeling like it will keep coming down. 2.5 pounds away from a 40 pound loss now.

    Sure, if you know how to do it? Otherwise I am good to check in here each day even though it is only we two 59 year olds : - )
    Also, this thread is a lot less busy than the 10 day one, which I like because there isn't as much to sift through.

    Also, I like that in this month the days are following the days of the month.

    100 Days of Weighing In ^^^^^ March 1, 2020 through June 7, 2020

    Day 01 – 03/01 …….199.8……A long way to go….. Good luck everyone!
    Day 02 – 03/02 ….…201.6…… Emergency travel yesterday with limited menu choices and limited movement.
    Day 03 – 03/03 …….201.6…… Prep cooked last night.
    Day 04 – 03/04 .…..200.8…… A nice drop after a well planned day. Why can’t I do this everyday?
    Day 05 – 03/05 ….…200.6…… Stayed the course, even with a special dinner & dessert for DGS#1 & DGS#2.
    Day 06 – 03/06 …….200.3…… Very S..L..O..W.. Progress, but I’ll take what I can get! Diet & exercise on point yesterday. Praying that I will be just as strong today!
    Day 07 – 03/07 ….…200.1…… A slow but rewarding process.
    Day 08 – 03/08 …….201.0…… Ate all the right low cal & low carb foods. I just ate to much of them. Control….Donna…..Control!
    Day 09 – 03/09 …….200.2…… Better. It was not a perfect day but I realized that I don’t have to be perfect to be great.
    Day 10 – 03/10 …….199.8…… I was hoping for a bigger drop, a whoosh even because I burned over 3200 calories yesterday and walked over 9 miles/over 21,000 steps. I stayed within calorie and carb range and my water intake was not too bad. However, no TMI so maybe that’s it. Slow and steady wins the race, I guess.
    Day 11 – 03/11 …….199.8…… Very tired today. So far the food plan is going well but I am giving myself a self-imposed rest day from just about everything. Sit on butt day, for the most part!
    Day 12 – 03/12 …….199.8…… Holding it steady but need a drop on the scale. Patience is a virtue for sure!

    Day 16 - Monday March 16.20 - Not putting in my weight today because I sort of broke my routine, had 2 glasses of water and 2 coffees before weighing. Let's just say it was high, and I don't think accurate, so I will call it a DNW day.

    Day 16 – 03/16 …….200.7…… My scale went up and it was from bad choices, not pre-weigh liquids. : / Yesterday was overboard by a bit. Today by a lot. Stress eating for sure. It’s gonna stop tomorrow.

    Day 14 - Saturday March 14.20 - 153.6 - On track for a better 100 days than the last, in which I lost 3.7 pounds in 100 days. Still a very long way from my Goal, but feeling like it will keep coming down. 2.5 pounds away from a 40 pound loss now.
    Day 15 - Sunday March 15.20 - 154.5 - I expect to be less tomorrow, slightly over (0.1 pound) from the end of the previous 100. Definitely feeling lean from all of the workouts yesterday, the scale is just not reflecting it.
    Day 16 - Monday March 16.20 - Not putting in my weight today because I sort of broke my routine, had 2 glasses of water and 2 coffees before weighing. Let's just say it was high, and I don't think accurate, so I will call it a DNW day.

    Day 01 – 03/01 …….199.8……A long way to go….. Good luck everyone!
    Day 02 – 03/02 ….…201.6…… Emergency travel yesterday with limited menu choices and limited movement.
    Day 03 – 03/03 …….201.6…… Prep cooked last night.
    Day 04 – 03/04 .…..200.8…… A nice drop after a well planned day. Why can’t I do this everyday?
    Day 05 – 03/05 ….…200.6…… Stayed the course, even with a special dinner & dessert for DGS#1 & DGS#2.
    Day 06 – 03/06 …….200.3…… Very S..L..O..W.. Progress, but I’ll take what I can get! Diet & exercise on point yesterday. Praying that I will be just as strong today!
    Day 07 – 03/07 ….…200.1…… A slow but rewarding process.
    Day 08 – 03/08 …….201.0…… Ate all the right low cal & low carb foods. I just ate to much of them. Control….Donna…..Control!
    Day 09 – 03/09 …….200.2…… Better. It was not a perfect day but I realized that I don’t have to be perfect to be great.
    Day 10 – 03/10 …….199.8…… I was hoping for a bigger drop, a whoosh even because I burned over 3200 calories yesterday and walked over 9 miles/over 21,000 steps. I stayed within calorie and carb range and my water intake was not too bad. However, no TMI so maybe that’s it. Slow and steady wins the race, I guess.
    Day 11 – 03/11 …….199.8…… Very tired today. So far the food plan is going well but I am giving myself a self-imposed rest day from just about everything. Sit on butt day, for the most part!
    Day 12 – 03/12 …….199.8…… Holding it steady but need a drop on the scale. Patience is a virtue for sure!

    Day 18 - Wednesday March 18.20 - 156.1 - I almost threw in the towel for all of this yesterday, I got so discouraged about everything going on in the world, and not feeling like putting any more time and energy to this process wherein I measure, weigh, work out daily etc. to lose an insignificant amount of weight that can return in 1 day after months of fighting so hard to lose 1 pound. I do feel better today and will stick at it.

    Donna, carbs have less calories than other things. Of course amounts are important, but sometimes the added fibre and quick metabolizing of carbs is not a bad thing. I think that with the difficulty of finding ingredients the stuff in our pantries will be relied on a bit more, this includes rice and pasta and the like.

    I tried Keto a few years ago and gained 50 pounds over 6 months and am still struggling to get rid of it.
    We are like scientists trying to figure out the best plan for us as individuals - we all respond differently to different things.
    Seeing that we are both 59, there is the increased difficulty of trying to lose weight once we get older. It can be frustrating, but checking in daily and looking at numbers helps. Even though I lost only 3 pounds in the previous 100 days (translating to 10 pounds or so in a year) I suppose that it is better than nothing or gaining.

    @dawnbgethealthy Yes, I was Keto which really helped with my diabetes numbers until I went off the rails during the holidays. I agree about the weight gain, it comes back very very quickly unless you stop low-carb very very gradually (which I did not, during the holidays). I am going to try to look closer at calories but still make the best lower carb choices for my glucose, even if it is not below 20 or below 50. Honestly, I'm very confused again. And I'm feeling so insecure about being able to get my normal staples such as eggs, cheese & meat. We only have one grocery store and they are doing their best. It is family owned, not a major chain so I pat them on the back for how well they have done so far with keeping things in stock. However, all the items I need most are still in very short supply. I think things will level off with all the hoarders, but I still feel so insecure. Whatever plan I choose, I just want to be able to stick with it. You just can't hop on & off low carb because of supplies, the weight gain is too fast and hard to lose (as you said, at our age).

    Day 01 – 03/01 …….199.8……A long way to go….. Good luck everyone!
    Day 02 – 03/02 ….…201.6…… Emergency travel yesterday with limited menu choices and limited movement.
    Day 03 – 03/03 …….201.6…… Prep cooked last night.
    Day 04 – 03/04 .…..200.8…… A nice drop after a well planned day. Why can’t I do this everyday?
    Day 05 – 03/05 ….…200.6…… Stayed the course, even with a special dinner & dessert for DGS#1 & DGS#2.
    Day 06 – 03/06 …….200.3…… Very S..L..O..W.. Progress, but I’ll take what I can get! Diet & exercise on point yesterday. Praying that I will be just as strong today!

I stayed within calorie and carb range and my water intake was not too bad. However, no TMI so maybe that’s it. Slow and steady wins the race, I guess.
    Day 11 – 03/11 …….199.8…… Very tired today. So far the food plan is going well but I am giving myself a self-imposed rest day from just about everything. Sit on butt day, for the most part!

    Day 14 - Saturday March 14.20 - 153.6 - On track for a better 100 days than the last, in which I lost 3.7 pounds in 100 days. Still a very long way from my Goal, but feeling like it will keep coming down. 2.5 pounds away from a 40 pound loss now.
    Day 15 - Sunday March 15.20 - 154.5 - I expect to be less tomorrow, slightly over (0.1 pound) from the end of the previous 100. Definitely feeling lean from all of the workouts yesterday, the scale is just not reflecting it.
    Day 16 - Monday March 16.20 - Not putting in my weight today because I sort of broke my routine, had 2 glasses of water and 2 coffees before weighing. Let's just say it was high, and I don't think accurate, so I will call it a DNW day.
    Day 17 - Tuesday March 17.20 - 156.7 - The wrong direction. I will stay diligent.
    Day 18 - Wednesday March 18.20 - 156.1 - I almost threw in the towel for all of this yesterday, I got so discouraged about everything going on in the world, and not feeling like putting any more time and energy to this process wherein I measure, weigh, work out daily etc. to lose an insignificant amount of weight that can return in 1 day after months of fighting so hard to lose 1 pound. I do feel better today and will stick at it.
    Day 19 - Thursday March 19.20 - 155.4 - A little better, many calories burned yesterday, and slept in today.
    Day 20 - Friday March 20.20 - 156.5 - An expected jump, I had a Ribs dinner last night - self-indulgence.

    Yes, this is a very trying time. I have known some diabetic people and they definitely have to keep their sugars and fats very low.
    It seems like everything is a carb. I have some pastas made of lentils, black beans and the like. Although they don't contain wheat, they still have the same calorie count as their wheat alternatives.
    I most recently discovered Kanjac noodles, which come from a root and are spiralized - extremely low in calorie. I think that they may be hard to find in a remote area or maybe in the USA at all.
    I don't have a spiralizer, but definitely buy pre-spriralized zucchini, squash etc. and have that in my freezer for when I want a lower cal spaghetti type option. I am not eating low carb, but I try to keep my calories low.

    I think that you are right and that people that were stocking up to prepare to stay in should soon have everything that they need to sequester, and the run on products should settle down.
    I work as a merchandiser for several companies, so I am in all of the stores in my town (population around 20,000) and the stores were much quieter yesterday than they have been.

    I definitely will have to re-motivate myself on the weight loss journey. I will work on that.

    Day 21 - Saturday March 21.20 - 157.2 - Still being indulgent, and the scale is showing it. Not quite motivated just yet. Being diligent affords me such miniscule weight loss, just kind of hit a wall with it. I will soon need to get back on track.

    Things change over time, I remember when the idea was 6 small meals a day - that is what fitness trainers were using with their clients to keep their blood sugar even. Not that I ever had a trainer, but one of my sisters did. She found that difficult because she was too busy at the time to try and get all of those meals in.

    I suppose different things work for different people. I kind of believe in Calories in/Calories out.
