Barbie, thanks for starting us off in April!
March started out positive for me, then this whole C-19 thing just totally derailed everything. And now our provincial health officer has said we probably aren't going to get back to "normal" til at least the summer and then the virus will probably swing around again this fall. So, I'm going to just have to suck it up and find different ways to exercise. It's just so much easier at the gym, it's dry there! lol I know, no bad weather, just bad outerwear, but still.... And hubby can't walk in the cold and wet, he had a herniated disc that caused permanent nerve damage to his left leg and when his back and leg get cold, he's in agony, usually he just hurts. I did dust off my bike last week and got out for a couple rides, have to do that some more, should start tomorrow. Might try biking to work on Thursday, have to see what the weather is going to be like, okay riding in cold, okay riding in rain. Not okay riding in cold and rain, apparently I don't have Pip's dedication!
Looks like I'll have to go grocery shopping on Friday, Thursday will be two weeks since I set foot in a store and funnily enough, I don't have a big list! There are a few things that we need (milk, yogurt, some fresh veg and fruit), but for the most part, we can live out of the freezer! The only trick is remembering to take something out the day before. Really got in the habit of just popping in on the way home from work, doing it the lazy way! lol
Stay safe and healthy ladies!

Happy April 1st. Thanks Barb for starting our month. I am happy to report that I lost 2 pounds last month. My goal for this month is to lose 2 more.
Long, long day today.
Teleworking is good but I have learned how much energy I get from my coworkers.
A family friend passed away. He was such a good guy. He had retired from his job sometime ago, but they were short handed and asked him to come back and train some newbies. He did and went to train some in NJ. He caught the coronavirus and passed away. It has made us really sad because he was such a good person and there is no funeral planned.
The pollen is really thick here. It is laying on cars like yellow snow.
DH is considered essential. He was presented with a letter to show police just in case he is stopped driving to or from work.

Thanks Barbie for the new post. Can’t believe we’re in April already. I think we have more snow on the ground right now than we did at Christmas.
I just watched our National news and the ended with a prayer written and spoken by a Rabbi and a Priest. They were standing 6ft apart and then it started rolling various scenes and stills of people looking out of windows doing their part. It was very nice and also very surreal as if the world had tipped on its axis.
I am off tomorrow and will catch up more then.

Tere - I'm so sorry about the family friend who died after contracting C-19. I just found out that 2 of the C-19 cases at Canterbury Rehab were the in-laws of an acquaintance. The husband has died, the wife not expected to make it. Both elderly.
Everyone at my workplace got the letter to show police last week. I didn't comprehend what it was when my DMS handed it to me. When it finally dawned on me, I was a little taken aback.
I'm in Midlothian.

April 1- Wow! March was long, but excited for April.
Barbie Thank you for continuing us on! This thread is so supportive for us all .
Amber and Tere- sorry for your losses. Virtual hugs!
I honestly have no idea how my goals went for March. I do know I lost a little over 4 pounds. Haven't eaten "out" since the beginning of the Month. I am still being mindful of my eating. I do know I drank my water most days. Evelyn- I need to exercise, but like you , I am fair weather outside. With no massage happening, I need to take advantage of hot tub and stretching, but. ..... I did start 2 de-stress activities. Not active, but sleep better.
We have THIS ladies! We have each other. We are STRONG, CARING, SUPPORTIVE, and BEAUTIFUL women!
Have a blessed day!

Thank you, Barbie, for being our rock...
👎 First goal for March was to be lighter going out than coming in. I am not by any stretch of the imagination lighter.
👍 Second goal for March was to get the elliptical up to 30 minutes, average five times a week. Did that.
🌞 Goals for April - Get through it without the plague or major financial or emotional losses, just weight loss.
Amber - many sympathies for the loss of your aunt.
Tere - I'm sorry for the loss of your family friend.
Love y'all,

Finished last night. It really makes me happy. I hope it brightens your day.
Karen- HUGS to you as well.
Observation- The Seniors and the youngsters that I interact with daily don't get it! They don't understand the social distancing. They don't understand that they can't come in to store for their protection and ours. We are trying to protect everyone. I am speaking of the over 80 and under 40. Just guessing ages, but just my observation based on our customers.
The grass is growing, the flowers are coming up, hoping to see some sun today!
❤

Michele Hmmmm…grocery store/Walmart vs having my take-out food brought to my car in the parking lot or walking around an open air Farmer's Market where I can maintain some distance from others…let me think about that for a minute.5

Good morning all. Glad we have started another month. Getting into a routine of working from home. Lots of computer work and virtual/phone meetings. Given my isolation here, I find myself looking forward to the meetings! Just hearing my peers voices is uplifting. Getting time for some online training. The unusual part for me is I am topped out on vacation and need to take some time or lose it. Will fit in a couple of hours a day when I turn off the computer and do some house projects and extra walking/exercise. Weight is doing ok, but miss the gym and working on getting a better at home routine.
Going to grocery for a small pick up order today-getting some fresh fruit and veggies and some of the sparkling water I like. First time I have ever picked up groceries. With the way things are looking I will be doing this for awhile. I may stop at gas station on the way and fill up (have a bit less than half a tank). That way I am set before we hit the full crisis level here in Ohio.
Yard got mowed yesterday. The weather has been cool here (and cold!). Looks like we will be in 50s-60s next few days so will be good for walking. Want to clean out the garage so perhaps over the next few days of warmer temps I can get that done.
Glad to say it seems family is doing well with this. Both sons still have to go to work. Will see how much longer that lasts. One works in automotive industry and they are not switching over to make anything new, so I will not be surprised if that stops (or they can have him work from home on projects). Son is Az manages warehouse that ships vitamins and supplements. Their business is booming. Az has not been very aggressive in dealing with this. But, he is disrobing when he hits the door and throws cloths in washing machine and showers off before hugging kids so hopefully they will be fine-the rest of the family has been staying home.
Interesting reading how we are all coping. We are a resourceful group of women! Let's all do our part so we walk through this together and it becomes something to look back upon and not live through.
Take care all,
Ginny in Ohio4 -
Sorry Tere about your friend. He sounds like a good guy.
Had a tiny falling out with DH this morning over a radio programme. I'm going to have to surrender the need to be right - AGAIN.
My life is pretty much the same as ever, but I'm annoyed with myself for not doing enough writing. You'd think I would be doing more with so much opportunity, but I get so distracted and cut myself a bit too much slack. Really there is no excuse.
Will go for a 5k this afternoon as the weather is good. Probably go round via the lagoon where it's a lot less busy.
I put some makeup on this morning and washed my hair in case I Skype or WhatsApp someone today. Might try my son. I don't know how they are faring financially. I sense my DDIL is finding it hard, especially as she is expected to be the one who is comforting others and being wise. That isn't easy.
Much love to all, Heather UK xxxxxxxx5 -

Welcome to April!
Barbie - Thank you for keeping us going and providing a safe harbor for us. It is wonderful to have a place where we can find support, companionship, a boot, and friendship however near or far.
Tere - I am so sorry for the loss of your good friend.- I am grateful for another healthy day.
- I am grateful for a place where I can safely shelter. There are many who do not have a place to wash their hands.
- I am grateful for this quiet time. It has made me more aware of what is really important.
- I am grateful for the commute time savings (yes, repeat from yesterday). I was able to scrub down the balconies during the time I would normally be on the road.
- I am grateful for the cold front moving through this morning. It brought a nice, heavy rain. My garden will certainly rejoice over it.
It is off to the races for me. I have a "commute-time" project to start and must get ready for work.
Hugs to all and prayers for those in need.
SuziQ - SFL
PS: Many here are new to remote working and are still adapting. Here are some suggestions for making it an easier transition.- Dedicate a spot in your home for work. This helps to distinguish between your work life and your home life. If you cannot dedicate a spot - turn off the laptop and put it away. If you are using a desktop find a sheet or box to put over it at the end of your work day.
- Stick to your routines. Eventually we will all (G willing) go back to our places of employment. Get up at your normal time and complete all of the normal things you would do in the morning.
- If you are normally on the road for 30 minutes use the 30 minutes to do something. Eventually you will be commuting again. You do not want to have a week or two of adjusting back to a commute schedule.
- Get dressed. One does not have to wear a standard work uniform. Changing out of yoga pants back in to yoga pants does not assist with transitioning from home to work life. I live in Florida where summer is on its way. My remote uniform is a pair of shorts and shirt (and, yes, a bra - well, maybe 3 days a week - LOL!).

Here in Australia, we're supposed to maintain 1.5 metres ... in Canada and some other parts of the world, it's 2 metres or roughly 6 feet.
What's 6 feet?- A bed is slightly longer than 6 feet (measure it!).
- Some of you, your husbands or your kids might be 6 feet tall.
- Stand beside each other, extend your arms and make sure you're at least 2 arm lengths apart (I've mentioned that one before).
- Here, they are suggesting we stay 2 grocery trolley lengths apart.
- Bath sheets (really large bath towels) are about 5 feet long.
- My dining room table is 4 feet long ... it's little ... but some of yours might be 6 feet long.
- Your sofa might be 6 feet long.
Measure things around your house. If all else fails, get a tape measure and measure the floor of your bathroom or kitchen (smaller rooms in the house). Get a good feel for what 2 metres or 6 feet actually is.
