Hello all: Sounds like everyone is making adjustments to this new way of life and I am sure things will continue to change. I am grateful that I live with DD on 10 acres so social distancing is pretty easy for us. I get to go outside 3 times per day to feed horses and goats. Our old horse has a hoof abscess so we have been spending time soaking her foot in Epsom salt solution twice a day. We will have to go out soon as we are almost out of senior feed for her.
We can call the co-op and they will have our order ready and put it in the truck so no need to go in.
We are doing our part for those on the front lines by providing housing for a traveling nurse who is working at Evergreen hospital in Kirkland. We have a small guest cabin on the other side of the barn that we renovated and she is staying there when not working. She is working lots of hours and we are glad to give her a quiet place to rest and relax. We don't see her often but when we do we stay on opposite sides of the driveway. She does work with COVID patients but is very safety conscious.
Amber and Tere - So sorry for your losses.
Amber - That choir where so many got sick is just about an hour away from us.
Karen in VA - Loved that Vivaldi video. What fun!
Margaret - Did you see the video of the priest in St. Paul giving communion to people in cars? He was going from one to another without changing gloves.
Michelle - We have a small one-room guest cabin that we rent out. I has a small fridge but no stove. There is however a microwave and a toaster oven. Also coffee pot and small crockpot.

Lisa: Thanks for the homemade bread recipe. I’m hoping to get some yeast on Friday (fingers crossed).
Karen: It feels so good to know that I have a Pal so close to me. I live in North Chesterfield right off of Providence Road. The Canterbury Rehab situation makes me sad. How awful to be leaving this world without your loved ones being able to be with you.

Well, I am at home and I still have a mental list of all the things I would do if…… I am dreading anybody wanting to Skype with me! My hair is a big mess! DH called his barber last night and asked him what he (the barber) was going to do about cutting his hair. They both had a great laugh as nobody knows when the barber will be open again or when our restrictions will be over.
SuziQ – Thank you for your positive thoughts! You are absolutely right! You are right on it about getting dressed. I find that I am not productive until I am fully dressed – bra and all- with my cup of coffee sitting at my dining room table with 2 laptops, 2 cell phones, 1 monitor, and 1 docking station. I’ve almost recreated my office. The only thing I have not done is incorporate my lunch break. I am just so thankful that I am able to telework.
Michele: You asked a great question regarding the letter. I am going to ask DH if I can see his. I had the same thought about what if you get stopped going to the grocery or drug store. I have a coworker whose spouse is a police officer. He said he is not going to be stopping people because it means he will need to go to court plus he has to stay 6’ away from everybody. So that means a little less than a mid size car length – go figure. Really would love to see a picture of the Aprils Fool Cake.
Luci: Your DH is right! At the rate things are going we really might be looking more to the good ole days! We are going to be vegetarians though.

My brother has spent last 6 nights in a hotel. He has a productive cough, no energy and high anxiety interfering with his sleep. He came back for about 8 hours yesterday. DH got ugly (he was just hangry), and DH bolted out the door. I was beyond depressed. I'm ready for this crazy train to reach the terminal.
DH has more good days than bad, but the bad dementia days are so emotionally draining, that it takes me a full day to recover. I have been reading "From Here to Eternity" a book that chronicles funerals around the world. Giving me a lot to think about.

Well I went for a walk with Alfie and 2 other friends ,we distanced ourselves, didn't have my Fitbit on but it was at least 3 1/2 miles ,Alfie is passed out lol
I didnt have the right shoes on.. will do better next time...7 -
Sue Wa - Be careful hour away is nothing I know folks who go that far to visit family or even a favorite store y restaurant in town closest to them... even 2hours away is nothing to some.

Made oatmeal cookies 🍪. JR being food stubborn ...if only he was old enough to understand. Oh well I left it out he hungry he can eat cold leftovers he’ll learn .
Hubby came home 1 item limit he found TP! 4 pack .I found none when I went out. He also found JRs teddy grahams to help him poop 💩,a loaf of glorious bread 🍞,y toothpaste! I was about to figure out a homemade recipes for toothpaste lol 😂. We that desperate until the 1 item rules took effect.5 -

No, I don't go to the grocery store. Or I should say ... rarely. We get our groceries delivered and have done for almost 2 years now.
But we do go to a fresh fruit and veg shop or the little shop at the end of our road ... both are about half fresh fruit and veg + a few other things. They have much better fruit and veg than the main grocery stores. There's a market once a week nearby and we may end up going there as well.

Today was day#3 of "Barbie's Dance Class" Since I am the only one in the class, the rules are simple. We dance only my favorite dances, review the steps only if I need a review, start the music over if I mess up, and repeat dances as often as I want to. My well planned grocery trip 10 days ago has held up well and I am unlikely to need to go again for several weeks I love all the jokes and photos. Keep them coming Barbie in NW WA 8

Interesting fact:
1 - I leave the house at 4am and I ride to sumner station, put my bike away, run 1/2 mi to work and I’ll get here around 5:30am
2 - I leave the house at 4:30am and I ride to the tacoma dome train station, get off the train at Puyallup, ride 3miles to the sumner station, put my bike away, run 1/2 mi to work and I’ll get here around 5:30 am
Difference? I burn a lot less calories but I do give my legs and *kitten* a break4 -

I got gas today. I drive back and forth between our home and son's twice a day. I wore gloves and I also used a plastic bag the kind they give you at Target. It worked great and then I just threw the bag in the trash. I noticed many did not have on gloves. I think they just don't think about it. I am going to post this on Facebook after I post here. Drkatie – I didn’t think there was any place that DIDN’T have a fridge or stove! That is, unless you’re living in someone’s basement. But in that case, the person you’re renting from would have a fridge and stove.

When I went to university, one place I stayed for about 6 weeks had a tiny little fridge, a kettle and a toaster but that was it. No stove, hot plate, microwave or toaster oven. And the sink was in the bathroom.
The person I rented from lived upstairs and our two places were complete separate. I wasn't allowed to use her stuff.
So I ate at the uni during the day and then stopped at the food court of a shopping centre near where I lived in the evening to get dinner. Or I had noodles or toast.
Most places here in Australia are sold or rented without fridges and maybe have stoves or maybe not. You're expected to supply your own.

Tracey – Denise’s rules? As far as I know, it’s a stay at home order, no groups of 10 or more. Denise isn’t following that. I saw pictures that she posted on Facebook of a baby shower she went to and there were more than 10 people there.
