Easter eggs always put me in mind of Faberge, particularly the Imperial eggs.

Endless patience and remarkable skill were needed to make the Mosaic Egg (1914). Fabergé’s designer Alma Pihl was inspired by a petit-point design. The master craftsmen inlaid tiny diamonds, rubies, sapphires, emeralds, topazes, garnets, quartzes, and pearls into mesh made out of platinum to create a floral design. A diamond-framed pink enameled cameo of the children in profile is the surprise hidden inside; a fitting gift from the children’s father, Nicholas II to their mother, Alexandra.7 -

Heather- Well goodness someone stole one of our treadmill hubby had it outside while he hauled stuff to the curb luckily I just checked it was the broken one not the good one. Lol they hauled our junk off without realizing it lol 😆. That’s what they deserve junk! Cops are driving in circles shooing folks every street . What a mess . They shooed the same folks multi times now give them a damn citation already! We would get the 1 push over cop on the beat!
I had a kettle until it broke y a electric tea maker also broke so using the coffee pot for my tea.Doing a good job. Realizing I’m still a tea addict just not as bad as I was.

Hubby found masks for his workers !! They will sanitize give their work masks to their wives wear the newer ones. We have 2 workers left rest quit to go to family’s areas to help them. Hubby excited 😊 to get that y a few hand sanitizers for them at work. Exspensive but worth every penny for Workers PPE .2 -

My girlfriends and I are trying to set up a Zoom for Tuesday. As we are all a bit technically challenged, it should be fun.

First Happy Easter to all who celebrate!
Second, my SIL took my MIL to the hospital yesterday. She was feeling bad enough that she didn't argue. She got admitted. After a CT scan with dye, they found a mass on her pancreas. We don't know if it is a group of cytst or cancer yet. They drained a bunch of fluid from her belly this afternoon to hopefully help relieve some of the pain. She hasn't eaten anything of any substance for 4-5 weeks. She was constipated and suffering from a UTI......well, it looks like it is worse. I am not having a good weekend. My SIL says no reason to panic until we get biopsy results tomorrow. My husband is momma's boy. He has a bad heart. I am scared for her and him. I will catch up when I can. Prayers, hugs and warm thoughts needed.

I have been reading along daily but haven’t had much to contribute.
I fell down the rabbit hole that is You Tube last night. It started because I wanted to watch some of the performances on the CMT Giants tribute to Kenny Rogers, we don’t get the same shows on our CMT. Anyway, the next video that popped up was Brad Paisley, Marty Stuart and Vince Gill doing a performance at the Opry with no audience. That led me to watching over 5 hours of performances. Music is soothing my troubled soul.
I am dreading going to work tomorrow, I am hoping that it will be short lived and the decision will be made that I start working from home. I think we will have to wear a mask starting tomorrow and I don’t know how I’ll handle that as I’m quite claustrophobic.

Heather: Chatting over the garden fence would be lovely. I’m glad we have this community of women through myfitnesspal. It isn't as nice as chatting over the fence, but it is flexible enough for us to chat with people all over the world.

Tracey: The mask that was given to me by my neighbor is not causing claustrophobia so far. It covers my nose and mouth & is held in place by ear loops that are good enough to keep it in place and neither too tight or loose. It doesn’t bother my ability to see, hear or speak. If my eyes were compromised I would feel claustrophobic, too. :flowerforyou: I hope you are able to work from home.

Tracey- Mind over matter the best you can. Try not to think of the mask as a box but a winter ear muffs. Keep your breaths calm ...fast breaths lead to the suffocating feeling your afraid of., calmer breathing lets you take deeper breaths the air comes easily. Big hugs you can do this. As soon as your home or in the car off it goes!

Made these today. Knitted and lined. Someone mentioned a crochet mask so looked for the pattern and found this one. I had yarn and all to make. Didn’t take long at all!

Rebecca, Normally I shop from a list that is on a small piece of paper with items listed in the order that i added them during the week. I enjoy wandering the store and if I have to double back for something, it's no big deal. Now, with my desire to shop for two or three weeks worth of supplies, I am more organized. I used a large piece of paper divided into boxes and list items in big print according to sections of the store. I don't want to take the chance of missing something and I don't want to linger in the store any longer than necessary. When I was at the store ten days ago, I had a very full shopping cart and I told the cashier that I was proud of myself for buying only what was on my list. She laughed and the man behind me me laughed and waved his credit card and said "this is the only list I have". I was able to have friendly chats with several neighbors that I hardly know while walking the dogs this afternoon.

Did an Intense Burn 15 Minute Rest DVD. Not bad, not the best, either. The plan for tomorrow is to do an Intense Burn 25 minute Rest DVD. I suspect that I won’t keep that one. I do need to go to WalMart and I want to go early (like when they first open). Hopefully, there won’t be that many people there at that time

SuziQ – A lady at the condo last year was saying to me how she got a lot of UTI’s. So I told her what my doc told me. After swimming, use my hairdryer “down there” before putting panties back on. Also, try as much as possible to dry off your feet (especially between the toes) before putting on socks especially in winter when your feet are in sneakers. Makes sense. When I first saw the trees trimmed at the condo, I thought for sure those trees were massacred and would never grow back. But I was really wrong. Good job you did there! I’m a bit surprised they let you do it yourself, but it’s great that you can
Remember how I was saying that my toe was hurting so I didn’t go for walks. Well, it feels perfect, but last night Jess said something about watching something on TV tonight so I probably won’t go for my walk tonight
Barbara – Vince was in IT for over 20 years, and he really doesn’t like Windows 10. I think a lot of it is because he likes to do things his way and Windows 10 only lets you do things a certain way. He’d like to make certain changes and Windows 10 doesn’t let you.
Bananas – I highly doubt the Y is spending much money at all on the gift. Wouldn’t surprise me one bit if it was something like a t-shirt or a towel. Nope, the email just said “come in for your gift”, no indication as to what it is. That crocheted mask has a pocket in it where you can put a filter. I just thought it was something different. I guess one advantage is that you can remove the filter and put in a new one each time you go out. How I wish our HOA would allow clothes lines. We had one at our second home and I really loved it, the sheets came out smelling so great. The sun would bleach the shirts, etc. I liked the smell of the sunshine on the towels but Vince didn’t like that they weren’t soft. That was the only complaint.
For the past many years, I seem to not have to or else I go a LONG time between when I need to shave my legs and underarms. But the bad news is that now there are hairs growing on my chin!
Peeled the potatoes for dinner tonight. I’m going to try the mashed potatoes in the IP. They were so good when Jess made them for Thanksgiving that I’m going to try it. Then cut up the lettuce for dinner and put it in the salad spinner so that’s all ready to go.
Allie – sorry about your friend’s mom. I know how hard it is not to be able to go to the hospital with a loved one
Bananas – one problem with the number of deaths reported from COVID is, say, someone goes to the hosp. with a heart attack. Although they tested positive for COVID, they actually died from the heart attack. It’s listed as another death due to complications from COVID, when in actuality it really wasn’t
Amber – did you know that if you put hydrogen peroxide on a fresh blood stain, it will take the stain out. If it’s a big stain, you may have to treat it with the hydrogen peroxide a few times, but it WILL take the blood out
Jess seems to be bent on getting us a fire pit. I’m just fussy. It’s not that I don’t want one, if I get one I want to be happy with it. Now I know Vince wants one with a ledge of sorts so you can put utensils on it and plates. We shall see….

Well, I know I went over on calories. I was doing so well, then Colby bought my most favorite wine. I only have it at Christmas, I could drink the whole bottle. So there went the diet. But I know that I’ll get right back to it tomorrow
I understand that Melania Trump is donating the Easter Eggs that would have been used for the hunt.
