SuziQ Keeping one's pubes neat is a labor-intensive business. Perhaps using the ripper outer would last longer. (Kidding).
Beth Thank you so much I got through another shift intact. We were busier than I thought we'd be, and saw at least one patient today who is undoubtedly C-19 positive. A child.
Heather I didn't know about those Dualit kettles but I need a new kettle as my lid broke off so it won't automatically stop heating once it reaches boiling. Which kettle did you get? I want one. They look wonderful. I have never had a really high quality kettle.
Lisa Come to Richmond, VA! We'll go to the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts to see their permanent Faberge egg collection!

Last night I roasted cauliflowerettes, bell pepper, onion, and Brussels sprouts in olive oil sprinkled with a bit of coarse salt and thought I had died and gone to heaven.
Tonight I'm so tired. Going to bed.

I order groceries online, but I do go tab by tab ... fruit/veg, bakery, meat, etc.2 -
Hi Gals,
Shopping by isle, I have always been more like Barbie, list order is by when I either run out or open the last of something depending on the item. Or if I need it for a recipe… BUT last week when I shopped for my Mom, and she would only accept house brands from a small chain here called Nob Hill, I got on their web page and figured it out isle by isle as I wanted to be in and out. And I was super glad that I had organized it that way as certain things were not grouped the way I would have thought. For example Flour, spices, and boxed mixes were together. But many rows over was cereal, pancake mix, syrup and sugar. In my regular store the sugar is where the flour and spices are… I would have spent far more time hunting things down.
I have been working on my income taxes today, my bookkeeper does most of the heavy lifting, but I go over it and add in items she might not know about like the mow and blow guy I pay in cash, and business mileage.
In the middle of the day when it was a bit warmer I worked in my garden, getting ready to plant! I have raised beds but did not do a winter garden at home this year at home, just in the garden at camp. So weeding need to be done. I am looking at a few places to expand my food production footprint, so will be pruning back a few shrubs and may be eliminating some grass.

Lisa Love Levi’s tummy time! So bright eyed for 3 months!!
Hi Patti! You are very close to all the action! How are you managing? I have been interested in listening every few days to Gov. Cuomo speaking. It seems he is truly concerned for the health and safety of everyone in NY.
SuziQ So happy for you with your TP! I was going to ask you to IM so I could send a couple rolls to tide you over. I’m happy you found it. It is awful being without!
Penny Love the walrus and the bunny! Just in time for Easter!
Katla Prayers for DS and DIL and her mother fighting the tough battle! Hard to not be able to be there for our children as they are going through such difficult circumstances! Glad they made it home okay!
Welcome, hippymamax! I know my own experience is that I plateau when my calories get too low. (1200 or less) Usually a day of higher calories and protein will jump start my weight loss again. Don’t know if this is true with others or not…
Carol Your GD’s Easter dress is beautiful! She is already a very beautiful young lady.
Heather So glad you got to chat with your Grands. Almost like seeing them!
Our church had parking lot service today. I watched on Facebook. I just can’t see a reason to push the social distancing that far…I miss seeing everyone, but not worth risking anyone getting sick. Plus, I don’t like the example that we go out when everyone else is mandated to stay at home.
I hope everyone has had a beautiful Easter Sunday! I am behind reading. It’s been a beautiful quiet day. A chance to reflect on God and all our blessings. We have everything we need and much more.
Margaret So sorry about your Easter dinner. I didn’t even end up making our dinner, because we weren’t that hungry and just decided to make something else.

First Happy Easter to all who celebrate!
Second, my SIL took my MIL to the hospital yesterday. She was feeling bad enough that she didn't argue. She got admitted. After a CT scan with dye, they found a mass on her pancreas. We don't know if it is a group of cytst or cancer yet. They drained a bunch of fluid from her belly this afternoon to hopefully help relieve some of the pain. She hasn't eaten anything of any substance for 4-5 weeks. She was constipated and suffering from a UTI......well, it looks like it is worse. I am not having a good weekend. My SIL says no reason to panic until we get biopsy results tomorrow. My husband is momma's boy. He has a bad heart. I am scared for her and him. I will catch up when I can. Prayers, hugs and warm thoughts needed.

Was That Cough You Had Last November or December COVID-19?
https://www.snopes.com/news/2020/04/03/already-had-covid-19/
"In sum, the likelihood that many of the severe upper respiratory infections that occurred in the world in November and December 2019 were actually COVID-19 is astronomically low. The likelihood that earlier pockets broke out in non-Chinese areas prior to December 2019 is also low, but impossible to rule out with current data.
One thing that is certain: If you had a cough in late 2019, that is absolutely not proof of your immunity to COVID-19. Treating it as such would endanger your own health, the health of people you interact with, and the safety of your community."
There's more to the article, but the two paragraphs above are the last two paragraphs of the article.

This would be great!! I'd like to see the redevelopment of a "powder room" or sink near the front door.
But the whole article linked below is very interesting ...
"If Lloyd Alter were building a new house right now, he’d be sure to add one unusual feature: a bathroom sink in the front vestibule. “We're going to see a real resurgence of the vestibule, I think,” says Alter, a former architect and design historian who now teaches Sustainable Design at the Ryerson School of Interior Design. “This is a transition zone from the outside to the inside, where you take off your dirty stuff and you wash your hands before you go into the house.”"

Rebecca - she is absolutely adorable.
This is my grandchildren today, I saw them through the window for a minute. I miss them so. The dress my granddaughter is wearing was made for her Mama by my Grandmother. The second picture is my daughter wearing it Easter Sunday many moons ago.
The picture of her looking at him is just too precious not to share. She just adores her big brother and you can see all the love in her eyes.

Luci in WNC: Thank you for your good wishes for DS, DDIL and her whole family. DDIL’s Mom has been the heart of the family and this is hard for everyone.
Kylia: Prayers for your MIL and the whole family.
Rebecca: That is the best Easter Basket, ever!
I had a wonderful phone chat with my daughter and her family this evening. I am so happy to get the chance to talk to them. Their little town had an Easter Parade with floats and candy, and they all had a grand time. The call left me feeling happy. I especially enjoyed my granddaughter giggling.

Karen - I bought the 50s style one as I have a lot of 50s styling in my kitchen. Amazon did not give me the option of blue to go with my Kitchenaid and clock, so I got the black to go with my toaster and scales. I could have got cream to go with my fridge and my bread bin, but I'm probably going to change those one day. I didn't even bother to read the reviews. I've been through so many kettles in the last few years I don't think any of them are perfect, but DS has the same model Dualit and it is still going after a few years of abuse, and the water doesn't taste of plastic, so I guess it's as good as any.
Says it's arriving on Friday, but recently things have been coming earlier than they say. I'm limping along with my travel kettle. Strange to have to plug the thing together every time.
We haven't been spending any money recently on going out etc, so there's a bit more cash in the joint account. Our pension is still turning up as before. Normally I would look at the cheaper options and resign myself to it not lasting very long. I do hate that plastic taste, so I always read the reviews for that.
We would now be on the coach for our trip to the fishing village. 52 m winds and 3°C. Last time we stopped at Haugesund we went on a sunny boat trip to a waterfall and had lunch at a lovely family farmhouse. Weird to think of it. So many small businesses affected all over the world.

Kylia - prayers for your MIL.
Rebecca and Tracey lovely pics of grandchildren. It was my grandsons 15th Birthday yesterday, I sang happy birthday to him on sons headset (they were playing a game) said I was sorry we couldn't see him and couldn't wait for everything to get back to normal. We've not seen him for 3 weeks, he lives with his mum and as he's epileptic his mum thinks he's at higher risk of catching the virus, so she won't allow him to visit on Sundays at the moment. Mind you, any excuse to stop him visiting us, she's very controlling!
Amber it must be a worry for you that your neighbours are not taking the social distancing seriously. We've had a few more cases in York now, 111 last time I looked. I'm almost afraid to look this morning. Every time I go out to check on mum etc I try to keep away from people and get back home as soon as I can. Do we know how far the virus can travel outside in the wind? I've seen lots of demonstrations on how the virus can spread in confined space or shops but nothing as to how it spreads outside. (I know not to touch gates and dog poo bins when out walking the dog)
Heather - have you had the refund from your cruise yet? I know I've not been spending as much, and DD is saving a fortune in petrol not having to take Leah to the common (common land with lots of space for dog walkers/joggers etc) We've been taking Leah on lead walks around the nearby streets or onto the stray (a nearby field) for a run about. The stray isn't very big though, and it can get a bit crowded, but sometimes she just needs to run - I'm sure there's some whippet in her, full speed she's so fast!
Hugs to those with family troubles. Take care.
Love to all

Viv - No, the refund hasn't turned up yet. :grumble: I would ring them, but I don't think there is much point. They seem to be deliberately taking their time. I have spoken to them on the phone and also emailed to confirm my choice of a refund. They said it would be 'weeks'. I am not impressed.
Going to dye my roots this morning so I look good for my Zoom tomorrow. I dreamt about it last night and we were all Zooming each other while we were actually in the same room!

As I like to say today is Monday fun day!
I awakened a few times last night and was able to fall right back in to a nice sleep. Most times these types of sleeps happen during the workweek. All is good. I had a productive, restful, lovely weekend.
For what am I grateful for this morning.- I am grateful to be alive.
- I am grateful to be able to go to work this morning and my commute is a few steps away.
- I am grateful for the lovely dinner I was able to procure for my Easter dinner. It consisted of roasted corn with fresh tarragon grown in my garden, twice-baked sweet potatoes, and filet mignon.
- I am grateful to be able to take a nice, hot shower this morning with towels fresh out of the dryer.
- I am grateful for my life's experiences. Through these experiences I am a stronger person and am able to weather troubling times and events.
I hope everyone has had, is having, or has a good day.
Peace to all.

SuziQ - is this not a holiday Monday? It is in the UK.
My hair has dye on it. I have changed the bed linen to wash. I don't have a tumbler dryer, but I do have a utility room with one of those old fashioned pulley airers. Brilliant!
