High stress day. Most of them are these days. No workout. Diet not good quality but managed to stay under calories. I really enjoyed the feeling of losses last round, Will be working majority of days this round which usually makes it easier to control calories but harder to work out, so we’ll see. Yoga is really helping me with my shoulder mobility. I used to have to stretch a while before I could raise my right arm overhead and now most of the time I can do it without stretching! Feel like my pants are a little looser.
05/08: 237.4.
I find it weird how I can go for several days without a 0.1 pound change in either direction. Jazzercise 20 min. Yoga 35 min. Today is my 15th day of logging, which may be an all time personal record LOL.
05/09: 237.4.
I’ve been eating all the calories MFP allots me including for exercise. I know what it is allowing for exercise is in no way accurate, how could it be. As much as I am enjoying those extra calories it’s not allowing the scale to budge, sadly. Went a little crazy today eating takeout pizza and eating my feelings. Will probably have a gain tomorrow but I’ll be back on the horse. No workout.
05/10: 238.8.
Cardio (Shape) 27 min. Yoga 35 min.
05/11: 238.8
Really surprised I didn’t have a gain today. Cardio (Shape) 27 min. Yoga 35 min. Back to work today after 8 weeks. Happy that I came home and worked out.

Nutrition is pretty atrocious this week. Gone for work from 7:15a-9:15p
05/14: 238.8.
Back to work and putting in extremely long hours this week. Need to accept that if I don’t gain this round it will be an accomplishment. Hoping for and expecting more balance next week.

Day/Weight/Comment
05/07 134.4 – 10.88 miles walked yesterday. I need to get a grip back on my eating, last couple of days I've been out of control again. Gonna try to get back on today especially because this bank holiday weekend I know I will be more relaxed with VE celebrations albeit at home just me & my DH together, weather permitting in the garden.
05/08 DNW – totally forgot!! When I remembered I was dressed and had eaten breakfast !! 9.63 miles walked yesterday, stayed within calories until clap for NHS & key workers on the doorstep turned into an impromptu street party till 10.45 pm; a few bevies were downed! Have a good VE day, enjoy any celebrations that you have planned in the safety of your own homes/gardens.
05/09 136.6 – well that's the VE day celebration results and do you know what I don't regret it, we got together as a street to celebrate albeit still maintaining social distancing, hung out the flags, some of us dressed up, had afternoon tea and continued through the afternoon into the night, sharing food, drinks, chatting & laughing, had a quiz and ended up with dancing. A brilliant way to bring the community together. I did manage to get a walk in during the morning 7.97 miles. Today back on it!!
05/10 136.6 – 9.31 miles walked yesterday, a really good day foodwise, 390 calories in credit, all macros in green. Was hoping for a slight drop, but we all know loses take much longer than gains, so patience, consistency and determination will win!!
05/11 135 – 8.33 miles walked yesterday. That's better! 411 calories in credit, all other macros in green.
05/12 134.4 – 9.2 miles walked yesterday. Yes! VE day celebrations gone, back to start of round weight. 392 calories in credit, all calories in green. Feeling good and in the game again!
05/13 133.4 – 9 miles walked yesterday. 604 calories in credit, all calories in green. Very pleased with this weight, would be happy to maintain it until end of round.
05/14 133.4 – 10.45 miles walked yesterday. 354 calories in green, fat 7 over, all other macro in green.
05/15 133.4 - 9.81 miles walked yesterday. 329 calories in credit, 25 carbs over, all other macros in green. Final day of round tomorrow.

Looking forward:
I'm just too danged cussed to let this thing knock me back, and ruin all the effort I have put in to get here. I am stepping up my routine, and taking control. Sheltering in place means I can fully concentrate on getting in my exercise, and preparing healthy food.
- May: focus on maintaining and increasing my progress
- 2020: Goal is to stabilise weight around 145
- Strengthen strategies to reframe the tendency to use unhealthy snack food as a reward/treat.
- Make sure I have prepared healthy snacks available
- Cut down on eating between meals
Never give up! Never give in!
Back Story:2018 goal: get back down to 160 ✅2020
2019 goal: proceed down to 150 ✅ with 2 months to spare
2020 goal: maintain below 150 dropping slowly down to 145 ✅ So far, so good.
That's a WIN in my book!
Focus: maintenance! I might even manage to lose a bit more ever so slowly.

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

Previous days:
05/07 157.6 (+7.2) 12.318 steps, 6km walk. I used my lowest weight from a few rounds ago although I’ve been weighing every couple of days since. My weight has been up and down since lockdown but definitely always a little bit more up. Asides from lockdown which is such a big problem, I’ve still also got this hip pain for which I was supposed to go for a scan before lockdown. Now I can walk (not too much) and I can cycle. Life won’t realistically get back to normal for months and I now realise how much I counted on being active and exercise as a weight loss (and sanity) tool. I’m still adapting to the new situation. Food is also an issue as prices have gone up, as a one income household I already found it a squeeze to buy all veggies and fresh food, now it’s really a problem. It’ll take time to get used to this but I’m sure we’ll all get there eventually
05/08 157.6 (-0.0) 10296 steps, 4km walk. Not surprised that I didn’t loose anything yesterday. I was within calories but only with the added walk benefit, I ate too much at lunch time and thinking of fasting for the rest of the day but didn’t make it. But this time I planned all todays meals in advance, including snacks, now I just have to stick with it. I’ll try and get a bike ride done today, I’m soooo tired! My daughter hasn’t slept well since the beginning of lockdown… she says she’s scared of the story of the bogeyman which she’s just discovered, I think it’s more this weird situation that’s coming out, she’s 11. I’ve been going on 4-5hrs of sleep for the last 2 months, feels like having a new born again lol
05/09 157.0 (-0.6) no steps, I didn’t even put on my garmin, just exhausted lol But happy to see at least a little loss even though I didn’t do any exercise, tiredness got the best of me yesterday and I didn’t do anything. Next week my daughter will stay at her fathers for a few days and I’ll be able to catch up on some much-needed sleep. Today I don’t have that much planned, maybe a bike ride or a walk, I have to plan my daily meals yet this morning and do some cleaning. Tomorrow my father is coming over for a Sunday Roast for the 1st time since lockdown, and then we’ll take some distance again as my daughter will be going back to school 2 days a week and we don’t want to take any risks. Ok, so it's just past 7am here, going to be my day started by putting on my step tracker and doing some steps with a "walk at home" on YouTube Hope you all have a good day !
05/10 157.0 (0.0) 13.551 steps, 9km walk. Yesterday was a good day, even without any weight loss. It was a lovely day and I went for a long walk in the afternoon. My daughter has started her horse riding lessons again and the stables are outside of town in a lovely area with villages, parks, lakes and forests. It was so nice to get out of the city for a walk, something we haven’t been able to do for 2 months. Today the weather is supposed to turn rainy with a high wind warning, but I’m hoping it’ll happen late enough in the afternoon that I can go for a quick bike ride beforehand. Shops are re-opening this week, I'm wondering if I can take my daughter clothes shopping, she's gone through a growth spurt and asides from some extra warm winter leggings and pullovers which we bought in February nothing fits. It's going to be interesting that's one thing for sure!
05/11 157.0 (0.0) Status quo. It was Mother’s Day here in Belgium yesterday so I had a nice family meal and some delicious chocolate cake for dessert. My father came over for lunch, we stayed with masks on just in case except for eating of course when he sat at one end of the table and us at the other, it was a bit weird! His health isn’t good in general so we’re minimising risks. Bad weather hit mid-morning so there was no question of going out anywhere for the whole day. I avoided the fridge for the rest of the day and had a plate of leftover vegetables for dinner. All in all, a good day, yet again even without any loss, because more is up as we can go outside a little more now. Today is a busy day and I’m even going into the office for a couple of hours later. Taking the bike as well 😊
05/12 156.4 (-0.6) not a lot of steps but more than 1000 cal left over due to extra cycling. Gosh what a difference having a busy day does, I was out most of the day which was so nice and didn’t think of food at all. I went to the office, we’re not reopening till mid-June probably, everything is going on as normal for us with videoconferences although everyone is looking forward to going back to normal. Today I’m planning a 2h walk while my daughter is at her horse-riding lesson. We’ll see later if we feel like doing anything in the afternoon. Have a good day all 😊
05/12 157.6 (+1.2) 10472 steps, 8km walk, not sure at all where that gain came from, in fact weighed myself twice as I thought I had misread … Well it’s another day today and the highlight today is that it’s food shopping day. I’ve planned my meals for a week and it all looks healthy, I’ll get extra fruit and stuff for snacks. No exercise planned today as I woke up with an arthritis flare my joints are stiff and achy
05/13 156.0 (-1.6) rest day. As I said yesterday, I had no idea where that gain had come from and I’m very happy to see it disappear overnight with a little extra! I’ve still some pain in joints and general tiredness so it’ll probably be another rest day today. This morning I had an early rheumatologist appointment for my quarterly check-up, he had a look at the pain in my hip I have every time I try to run, it seems I’ve done something to the sacroiliac joint and I need an MRI to see what the problem is exactly, I don’t think I’ll be able to run any time soon, thank goodness I can still use my bike! Yesterday I went shopping and bought lots of healthy food to nibble on.
05/15 156.0 (0.0) rest day, 1250 cal. Yesterday was a nice restful day, I cooked healthy foods (vegetables and beans dish for lunch and tofu stir fry for dinner). The arthritis flare is nearly finished so tomorrow I’ll do some exercise, probably a bike ride. For lunch I have planned leftover beans and vegetables dish from yesterday and then grilled fish and grilled vegetables for dinner. I'm getting back into the habit of cooking (disclosure: I really don't like to cook) I normally just grab something easy which often end ups being a sandwich and although not unhealthy as such, it is high in calories. I’m at last getting consistent again about logging my food, even if it’s taken me nearly the whole round to get back to doing this

@CamandJarvis Some weakness is to be expected with repetitive injuries I suppose, maybe an ankle support for walks for a while? Dogs can be a bit over excitable when they’re young!
@tishawj I hope your calf pain has eased and you can enjoy some more walks today!
@kblanc14 your meals sound really good, I might try some! Thanks for the ideas
@kecward78 well done on starting weight lifting again

First full round with the group! Looking for accountability and some slow/consistent changes. This round is about adding activity to my days and not focusing on the past - just where I’m going!
Journey Start: 4/20/2020 155.8 lbs
Journey Goal: 140 lbs
R112 start/end: 152/153.2
Round 113 Goal: 150 lbs
Day/Weight/Comment
05/07 152 Off my 153.2 plateau hopefully. It’s time to move the scale this round. I’m motivated.
05/08 151.4 Walked around the neighborhood yesterday and glad I did! 1.4 miles is way better than just the desk to the kitchen! 🤣 Happy Friday! I’m thinking of some weekend intentions to keep on similar schedule and meal times as much as possible.
05/09 152.4
05/10
05/11 153.4 (did not keep routine)
05/12 151.8 Yesterday I recorded but didn’t post because I was reflecting on the gain. It’s going to take more intentional methods to see the scale change. I don’t get excited about intermittent fasting, but that is what works. I’m going to stick with it for the rest of the round.
05/13 152.4 I think my dinner is still with me 🤣 I did walk 1.7 miles yesterday. That felt really good. It’s a brand new day and I’m not giving up.
05/14 151.8 I had a very sensible dinner last night and feeling good today. Woke up hungry but going to stick to the plan!
05/15 151.6 Another good day yesterday sticking to the plan. Probably won’t make my goal this round but feeling like I’m on track and making some progress. Maybe I should revise my goals to a slower loss. 🤣 I’d love to work towards more of a trending loss next round instead of seeing the weekend gain. #goals

05/07 – 157.4 lbs 1100 calories, 12,000 steps, IF 16 hours Lots of errand shopping today, hoping to pick a bunch of stuff up for graduation but most exciting I get to go the greenhouse today. YaY!
05/08 - 157.2 lbs, 900 calories, 10,000 steps, IF 16 hours. Feeling hugely relieved getting most of my Graduation shopping done, including the cake ordered. Unfortunately I can't plant my plants in pots, This morning we were 25 and tomorrow we are to have a low of 20 with 1-3 inches of snow and 30 mph sustained wind. Ugh!
05/09 - 158.6 lbs 1100 calories, 16,000 steps IF 16 hours. We definitely got the sleet and 3 inches of snow.
05/10 - 159.0 lbs 900 calories, 6000 steps IF 16 hours, Finished Quilting a wall hanging for a friends birthday. Happy Mother's Day!
05/11 - 159.2 lbs 1400 calories, 6000 steps IF 16 hours. Back to spring cleaning today. Hopefully the sun comes out, low last night was 20.
05/12 - 158.0 lbs 900 calories, 12,000 steps IF 16 hours. Today looks promising for sun and high maybe mid 40's, yay. Why is it you take most every thing out of a room and love it's look and wish you really didn't have to find room for all that stuff you took out. LOL
05/13 - 157.6 lbs 22,000 steps, IF 16 hours, to busy to count calories but it was the same thing I usually eat with no snacking. More rain, at least I can spring clean and not worry about doing any yard work. LOL
05/14 - 158.2 lbs 10,000 steps IF 16 hours I did not count again but should of been the same. I just seem to bounce so this is normal. Trip to town today with my usual crew. We are hoping our one loan clothing store in town has opened up again. I have lost 20 lbs since fall and I really could use a smaller size. I really dislike buying pants on line and stores farther away have not opened yet for clothes either.
05/15 -158.8 lbs 10,000 steps, IF 1600 calories, Gain is from the couple beers we had after shopping. No luck in the clothing store being open.

Round 112 SW 151.4 EW 151.4
5/07- 151.2 It would be amazing if I reached goal this challenge, but we'll see.
5/08- 150.2 Holy *kitten*. I'm there. I want to actually get to 150. But I made it. I haven't seen this number since my wedding day in 2002 and prior to that high school. Can I say that I'm way more fit than I have ever been in my life. I'm actually scared about moving to maintenance soon, but I'm not thinking maintenance yet. I know how these roller coasters go.
5/09- 149.4 YAY! I reached goal! OMG. I almost can't believe it. I even had chinese carry out last night, but hiked a good 5 miles. WOW! Just wow. Will FP adjust my calories to maintenance automatically or do I need to go change something? I'm going to complete this challenge because this is a lifestyle change and I'm pretty sure I'll need to keep logging to stay on track and continue to make good choices.
5/10-150.4
5/11- 152.2 I'm so not surprised. I went way over calories. My mom brought a cherry pie and I ate 2 pieces, and cookies and carry out. It was probably worth it. I haven't adjusted my goal as I now I have to get down 2 lbs again. I'm going to spend some time trying to figure out what I want maintenance to be. Probably anything below 150. And I'm not there consistently at all yet. But that's OK. This isn't a race.
5/12- 151.8 getting back to where I need to be. I've felt a little run down did no work out/activity which is rare for me. It was also freezing here.
5/13- 149.4 good
5/14- 149.6
5/15- 149.6 I got my kids sickness yesterday, so no real activity for me, but my appetite is down too thankfully. I need to give my body rest10 -

5/07/20 - 181.4
I went to a nearby park yesterday for a walk, and holy cow, it was very busy with many groups of 4-8 people on the paths, no masks (except mine), no sense of holding back to allow distancing. I ended up cutting my walk short, getting off the path and onto the grass to get back to my car. I simply don’t get it. I guess I need to get my fanny out very early for walks. On a happier note, I get to pick up a bunch of plants from our Botanical Conservatory’s annual sale this afternoon! Yay!
5/08/20 - 181.6
Now that I have a bunch of new plants to plant, we’re getting a freeze tonight. So the plants are snuggled in for now on top of the washer and dryer. 🌿🌸🌱 We’ve been having some nice conversations. 😁 In the meantime, I have a loaf of cinnamon raisin bread in the oven — the last of my gift list for members of our congregation, although I’m going to bake more bread for friends — the looks on people’s faces when you deliver home baked bread is priceless! 🥖 Plus I love to bake but don’t need the results within snacking distance. It’s a win-win!
5/09/20 - 181.6
Cold night last night, but I covered my tulip buds, and everything else seems to have made it, too. Everything’s coming back to life. Last year this time there was nothing in this bed except the roses and a couple of really hideous shrubs. Now it makes me happy. Have a lovely Saturday, all. Be well.
5/10/20 - 182
Ok, I saw that coming. I went a little nuts last night and snacked in the evening. Emotional eating. But my average over the week is well below maintenance, so this is temporary. Planning a walk if the rain and wind hold off. Maybe a little gardening, too.
5/11/20 -181.6
Cold nasty wind, rain today....frost again tonight. I’m being extra wimpy about outdoor activity because I don’t want to get any kind of sick right now. I think I’ll order more yarn. 🧶
5/12/20 - 181.8
I spent most of the day yesterday on my butt updating my website and, when I got sick of that, knitting and listening to audio books. I’d forgotten what a rabbit hole that can be! This is supposed to be the last of the chilly days around here. I hope so! I’m itching to get into my garden and to amp up my walking program to get back to my old 5-10 miles a day. I felt so much better when I was doing that. The habit fell by the wayside 2 years ago when I got PMR. It’s time! I hope you’re all doing well.
5/13/20 - 181.8
Trying to cut myself some slack but I’m pretty disappointed in myself righ5 now for regaining so much weight and hanging out in this neighborhood for the past 3.5 months. Not sure if I need a hug or a kick in the pants. Maybe both? Anyway, it’s a lovely day so I’m off to walk on the Rivergreenway and then stop by one of my favorite nurseries—need some happy flowers. Be well!
5/14/20 - 182.6
Sodium. Pizza. Excuses. Kicking myself.
5/15/20 - 181.8
I’m scared to break out my warm-weather clothes. I’m sure a lot of things won’t fit. I’ve been wallowing in a “what difference does it make?” funk the past week, which isn’t me, so obviously some depressed entity has possessed me. I’m trying to exorcise the demon with work, garden, walks between squalls, knitting, audio books.... Then I remind myself that, quarantine or not, I have it pretty good. I hope you’re all finding ways to cope. Off to play with plants — they’re pretty optimistic!

Goal weight for this round: 121 range

05/07 122.6 Sweet, lost another .2! Yesterday was good food wise. I made carnitas in the pressure cooker last night for dinner and turned them into bowls with brown rice, black beans, and mango salsa. They were yummy and will be dinner tonight too! Had another good walk this morning, around 3.5 miles. Last night was fun and I had a random sober dance party for like 45 minutes because my husband was listening to throw back pop songs covered by heavy metal singers. So, I couldn’t help but dance while he continued to be on the computer and enjoy his beverages. Have a good day everyone 😊.
05/08 123.2 Water weight fluctuations are fun, this is probably due to my salty dinner last night but man was that Annie’s Mac and Cheese worth it. I had a craving and indulged but I did manage to stay within calories. I also savored every bite! So, it’s all good. I even squeezed in an impromptu cardio session before dinner last night! Just got back from our morning walk and it was accidentally extra long at 5.5 miles. I’ll take it 😊.
05/09 123.2 I’ll take the steadiness at least. Maybe I’ll drop tomorrow. Who knows. Bodies are so weird when it comes to weight loss. Today was decent with food but kind of a hard day to track my dinner. I made myself an awesome bowl of oatmeal for my breakfast/lunch @ 11 because I intermittent fast. Then for dinner I made buffalo chicken cutlets so that was hard to calculate. I probably ate about 5 oz of chicken with a ¼ cup bread crumbs made from Ezekiel bread (the only stuff I had to make crumbs with) and a couple tablespoons worth of oil. There was also some hand made fries cooked in the air fryer. So, I did the best I could with my estimates and I guess that’s all you can do. I’m pretty sleepy today and was happy that I attended a virtual christening for my baby cousin because it gave me an opportunity to see some family via Webex and lay in bed for a couple hours 😊. It’s been a solid day. Have a good night everyone!
05/10 122.8 Was busy with stuff for mother’s day and didn’t have a chance to pop in here. I made a pot roast in the pressure cooker with some carrots and parsnips. Then, I made some mashed potatoes to go with it. It was a nice family dinner with my in-laws and my mother in law appreciated me cooking it all. We live with them but don’t typically eat with them because our living space is separate from theirs. Didn’t really exercise this weekend except for some nice stretching on Saturday. My body definitely needed the rest though.
05/11 122.8 Feeling a little slow moving today. We went on our usual walk but kept it to around 5k this morning. I might break my fast early this morning and have some tea because I have zero ambition to do any work today. Have a great day everyone!
05/12 122.8 Hey all! Feeling much better today. I got a good night’s sleep and have a feeling the weight will be dropping this week because the hormonal water weight/ and ish will be clearing out soon. Energy is up and we went for an almost 5 mile walk today 😊. Food went well yesterday, and today’s plan is looking good too! I’ll be making some maple blueberry breakfast sausage that came in our CSA to be part of my first meal of the day. I’m excited to try it because it’s new to me! Have an awesome day!
05/13 122.8 I’ll take this little stagnation, I’m just grateful to be maintaining it. My body feels good, so I’m happy with that. We did a 4 mile walk this morning and I did a 15ish minute body weight workout this morning. The energy is slowly starting to come back again. It’s so interesting how hormone fluctuations can make you feel throughout the month. I’m also going to try some fennel and dandelion tea to see if this weight is just a bit of fluid retention. I also had a carb heavy dinner but it was so good! It felt and looked like a restaurant meal. We had dry packed gnocchi with frozen meatballs, Rao’s marinara (our favorite sauce to treat ourselves) fresh basil and romano cheese on top. The best part is that it was within my calories for the day 😊.
05/14 122.8 Got in another good walk this morning. My muscles were sore from my workout yesterday so I took it as a sign to rest and focused more on stretching this morning instead of a body weight workout. I might try to do some jump roping later on today to get in a little cardio. My food was good yesterday, I made a breakfast sandwich plus an orange for my first meal, snacked on some dried fruit in the afternoon and made a mushroom and veggie coconut milk dish served over brown rice and lentils. Solid day over all 😊 I hope you all are able to enjoy your day a bit!
05/15 121.6 Woo! It’s been a while since I’ve seen that number. I'm not sure it's real because my scale was a little funky, but I'll take it lol. 😊 Yesterday was a good day food wise and I managed to get in some jump rope later in the day too. We went on another really good walk this morning and broke 6 miles kind of accidentally. It was so nice though, 56 degrees and the first day in a long time where I was able to wear a sweatshirt instead of a winter jacket on our morning walks. Today we have jerk chicken on the menu for dinner tonight and I'm very excited for it!

Hi, I’m Karen and I’m in my 50’s
OSW-187 Sept. 2018
Goal Weight this Round: Stay in 50’s-
Drink plenty of water and get the boxes unpacked.
RSW-153 RGW-150
5/7-153-Off to meet movers to load the truck. Long day.
5/8-DNW
5/9-154-I’m OK with this. The movers brought our items from storage and I walked 5.5 miles putting it away. We are in the process of moving from where we have lived for the last year and it is hot. I’m off to the grocery store and will look like a hoarder, loading the empty refrigerator and cupboards.
5/10-154
5/11-153-My husband had our boys surprise me and they showed up to help us get moved and to celebrate Mother’s Day and my birthday. It was a wonderful weekend and we all got to spend the first night in our new house together.
5/12-153-Glad to be holding. I cut up lemons and cucumbers had them in my water all day. Same today; it makes me feel healthy. I’m taking a walk this morning, then by quilt shop that is only open 2 hrs./week. Then back to working on boxes.
5/13-152-Walked some in the morning, then worked on boxes and unpacking and ended up walking 6 miles. Lots of water.
5/14-151-IF for 19 hrs. Ate sensibly, no walk but on my feet all day, drinking lemon/cucumber water. No cravings for junk.
5/15-150-IF 17 hr. I don’t log my food because MFP is rude and tells me it’s not healthy to eat like that...IF, meaty salad for lunch, protein shake and VEGES for dinner. That’s what works for me. I don’t think a women in her 50’s designed this app.7 -
I'm going to try this again...Thank you all for still being here, was really excited to see this challenge still going from when I used it over 2 years ago. I didn't achieve much last round...except for starting the habit of daily accountability. This round I'm going to work more on my food habits, I need to figure out a way to keep shoving bad snacks in my face in the late afternoon and later evening.

Day/Weight/Comment
05/07: 182.2 - basically back where I started at the beginning of last round. We've been filling in our Family calendar with national and international celebration days since there are not band rehearsals, sports, volunteer groups happening right now...and yesterday was "No Diet Day" so my boys requested all the fried food and poutine....we haven't had poutine in over 2 months, it's usually only an eat out treat for us, but my "homemade" version was SOOOOO good....
05/08: 179.2 - flushed a lot of that end of cycle hormone bloat yesterday, I could almost feel it leaving thought the day. Food choices were great!! Had extra salad instead of the noodles I made for everyone else as a side at dinner last night. Found out yesterday that the August gift show I usually work on for my main freelance clients has officially been cancelled for this year. It's one of my main gigs and at this point I'm usually putting together planograms and sample orders for it....I'm still hopeful that as our province begins to re-open more that they'll still be needing me to work in their showrooms. I'm really missing my creative work life right now
05/09: 179.0 - Good day yesterday great hike with the dog in the morning, kind of boring day but ended with an awesome virtual chat with one of my housemates from university. We've been doing zoom coctail parties every couple of weeks since isolation started, but tonight only she and I could make it, we were going to cancel but so glad we had a chance to connect one on one. We got 2 inches of snow last night...so I'm not very motivated to do our regular morning hike today, maybe I'll get one of the boys to pick up the kettlebells with me this afternoon.
05/10: 177.8 - Unexpected but kind of makes sense...I usually have a big drop the first few days of starting or re-starting a significant change in my eating habits. I think what I was doing last week was blocked by my raging peri-menopausal hormones. Now that is cleared for this cycle my body is self adjusting. Had a good food day and did end up going for a long walk with the dog but no hike in the snow. Looking forward to the Mother's Day Brunch my hubs is picking up from one of our local favourites. We haven't eaten anything not prepared at home since March.
05/11: 179.0 - Didn't even attempt to log my delicious brunch yesterday.
05/12: 180.8?!?! - I'm all over the place....bodies are weird. I do need to lay off the carbs a bit though...everyday I have some extra I bump the water retention.
05/13:179.0 - turned around back in the right direction.
05/14:179.6 - Started yesterday with an awesome hike with the dog...then pulled my calf muscle on the sidewalk on our way back home from the bluffs...felt it twang and thought I was going to have to call my husband to come pick me up...left me pretty gimpy for the rest of the day. It's tight this morning but not as bad as I though it might be. I think we'll just stick to a walk in the neighbourhood for the next few days.
05/15:179.4 - stuck to the sidewalks on our walk yesterday....going downstairs (and downhill) is really painful on that calf...but it feels a lot better this morning. It's pouring rain out there right now, supposed to clear up this afternoon so I'm going to take it easy again today and hopefully we can get out for a family hike tomorrow, as it's supposed to be the only good weather day on our upcoming long weekend here (May 24/Victoria Day in Canada)

Day/Weight/Comment
05/07 187.2 Not what I was looking for. Eating well, under calories, but I have added strength and I’m eating some different foods at breakfast. Will wait this out for awhile but hope to find losses soon.
05/08 187.0 Guess I’m basically on another plateau. Doing habits “right” but I’m going to have to wait for results.
05/09 186.8 I’ve been looking for a bigger drop, but if I knew I would lose 0.2 everyday for the next few weeks I’d be happy.
05/10 187.4 So much for dropping 0.2 everyday! I’m ending my week on maintenance as of today and hope the lower calorie target will help get me going again.
05/11 187.6
05/12 DNW
05/13 187.6
05/14 188.2
05/15 187.6 clearly I’ve been struggling through the last few rounds. I’m going to keep hanging on, though. Even if I just maintain I’m still down 25 for the year.

@AR10at50 Karen, I haven’t used MFP for tracking in ages. When I went LCHF, I found it difficult to figure my macros without having to pay for premium and I wasn’t going to do that. And I assume it’s based on old science which says to eat a lot of fruits and veggies, which is way too many carbs for me.4
