I know you’re nearly at the end of this 10 day stint but I’m going to start today. Get in to the swing of things before the next 10 day cycle. I’ve been in this challenge before and found it motivating. So hopefully it can work for me again.7 -

Previous days:05/16 155.2
05/17 156.6 (+1.4) ok let’s forget yesterday happened, carb overload combined with a pity party was not the best (TOM?) lol Today was a better day all together, over calories but all healthy low fat, low carb. I’ll see the results tomorrow. My daughter is going back to school tomorrow, which feels like a weird thing to say after 2 ½ months at home. It’s just one day this week.
05/18 DNW
05/19 157.0 (+0.4)
05/20 158.0 (+1.0)
05/21 157.2 (-0.8) my weight has been all over even though I’m exercising quite a bit this week. Yesterday I cycled to work and back, and in the afternoon went for a 6km walk. Today will be a rest day, so I’ll limit the calories
05/22 157 (-0.2) Down a little bit today which is a surprise as I did have some yoghurt with muesli and a milky drink at 4am when I still couldn’t fall asleep. The scales would probably have been lower if I hadn’t but I was getting a bit desperate lol Today I have a lot to do to keep me busy, not much exercise planned though that’ll have to keep till the weekend.
05/23 158.0 (+1.0)
05/24 158.0 (-0.0)
05/25 158.0 (-0.0)
05/26 158 (0.0 lbs) Disappointed today, I haven’t been posting as I was disheartened with the weight gain but decided still to post to finish the round for accountability. I’m confused with the gain, yesterday within calories and had an extra 700 in the bank with exercise (cycling). I haven’t been majorly over eating lately, each time largely compensating with mild exercise (no cardio due to hip problem), and it’s all been healthy with lunch being salads with light dressings and then one main meal in the evening. Next round I'll try posting my stats to help keep me on track. For Today, no exercise planned as hip is hurting due to cycling yesterday so I'll have to be extra careful about logging everything. Next week I have an MRI appointment for my hip, injury was 6 months ago now (was supposed to have exam when lockdown hit), crossing fingers they can find what it is to sort it out at last

@cpanus - I know how you feel, I am finding it hard to keep motivated during these exceptionally challenging times. I just want to be eating/grazing all the time, then I'm too full to eat my proper meals!!? I think like anyone of us, it's crucial to be in the right frame of mind, for me a particularly high scale reading suddenly pushes my mind into that place?
I hope you find your mind set again, you've been doing so well to date, I'm sure you don't want to jeopardise the hard work you've already put in. Keep strong my friend, but even more so keep safe and well. Hugs to you xx
Indeed it's getting quite hard! We're ending our 3rd month of lockdown here and as much as in the beginning moral was still ok, now it's starting to wear me down too...4 -

05/25 140.6 Well there is the bump I was expecting yesterday.
05/26 140.2 (-2.8 lb) Big loss for me this round, very happy! Now that I'm back to babysitting my grandchildren I rarely get a chance to sit down during the day..Lol! I've also cut back on the amount of carbs I've been eating, really seems to make a difference in my weight loss. It'll probably be a struggle to lose anything next round though because we have a family camping trip planned next weekend and everyone always brings lots of goodies to munch on.5 -

Looking forward:
I'm just too danged cussed to let this thing knock me back, and ruin all the effort I have put in to get here. I am stepping up my routine, and taking control. Sheltering in place means I can fully concentrate on getting in my exercise, and preparing healthy food.
- May: focus on maintaining and increasing my progress
- 2020: Goal is to stabilise weight around 145
- Strengthen strategies to reframe the tendency to use unhealthy snack food as a reward/treat.
- Make sure I have prepared healthy snacks available
- Cut down on eating between meals
Never give up! Never give in!
Back Story:2018 goal: get back down to 160 ✅2020
2019 goal: proceed down to 150 ✅ with 2 months to spare
2020 goal: maintain below 150 dropping slowly down to 145 ✅ So far, so good.
That's a WIN in my book!
Focus: maintenance! I might even manage to lose a bit more ever so slowly.

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

05/17 120.6 Today was good, we did some yard work and ate well. Although, I definitely didn’t feel completely satisfied with my food, so I definitely want to work on that tomorrow. It tasted decent but I didn’t feel super full from it. I had lentils, beets, and a cheese plate type thing for breakfast/lunch. It was a strange combination of foods but it tasted good. Then for dinner I had a bean based pasta along with spaghetti squash, meatballs, and sauce with a sprinkle of romano cheese on top. It just kind of fell flat leaving me wanting more of something. I’m hoping tomorrow will be better in that regard!
05/18 119.4 I’m starting to wonder if my scale is right because I’ve had some really good drops over the past few days. I see the difference in my belly area, but it just seems crazy because I haven’t seen that number in years. I hope I can keep it off! This morning I went for a 6 mile walk and then did some push-ups and lunges in our yard. I’m hoping to get some jump roping in later today for some cardio because the walking doesn’t raise my heart rate that much. Not sure what’s on the agenda today for food but I’m thinking about some sort of toast and peanut butter for my first meal. I hope everyone had a good weekend!
05/19 121.0 I’m pretty sure my scale got moved in the bathroom and it’s on a level surface finally. I’m now at a weight that makes more sense because that was a big drop over the course of three days for me. I’m cool with it because I have been making really good decisions food and activity wise. I took a 6 mile walk this morning and have plans to jump rope again today. I love the cardio workout I get from jump roping and it’s safer/easier than running around the neighborhood with the whole mask situation. Plus, I get to brush up on my jump roping skills. I also ordered a weighted rope to turn up the workout a notch. That arrives at the end of the week and I’m very excited for it!
It sounds really weird but I’m so excited for my breakfast/lunch today because I have been craving cottage cheese for some reason and we were finally able to get some last night in a food delivery. So, I’m looking forward to the cottage cheese topped with pineapple and frozen wild blueberries. Tonight we are having American Chop Suey left overs and I’m pumped I have a night where I’m not creating dishes to clean after dinner.
One last ramble… My husband just went to get a contactless pick up order from Total Wine, so we will have some beverages to enjoy this weekend. I don’t think I’ve had anything to drink since March, so this will be fun. 😊
05/20 121.0 Went for another awesome walk this morning. My husband joined me for 3ish miles of it and then I continued another 3 miles on my own. Skipping the jump rope today to give my body a break. I might work in some push ups in a bit though. Food was good yesterday and so far so go today. I plan on making a turkey breast in the pressure cooker tonight for dinner. On our walk, we walked by turkeys which made my husband crave turkey. LOL! Luckily I happen to have turkey in the freezer and we have some potatoes, carrot and parsnips to use too! So, it’ll be perfect! I even have a rogue box of turkey gravy to add to the pot for added flavor. Have a good day everyone!
05/21 121.0 Another great walk this morning! It’s going to be so nice out today and I am so so so excited! My food should be solid again today, plan on having more cottage cheese with fruit and some whole grain pretzels for my first meal and something healthy for a snack later in the day and then we are air frying chicken wings tonight with some fries and I want salad too with it! The turkey came out good that I made last night, so that was a win! It was so cool to get a boneless turkey breast in my meat CSA, because it was so easy to cook and the perfect amount for the two of us. It was about a 1lbish when I weighed it in the packaging. There’s just enough turkey and veggies left over for my husband to have some leftovers for lunch.
05/22 120.2 I had too much fun on Thursday night drinking wine so Friday wasn’t the greatest food wise. I woke up and wanted all the greasy food and I indulged because it’s been a while. I’m still pretty sure I ended up eating within the amount of calories I burn in a day but the salt definitely made me retain water.
05/23 121.2 Back to wanting to eat healthy again after a day of not posting here. Drinking always has a way of making me want to eat like crap the next day and not care that much about it. I did notice the feeling from it last night though, because I felt bloated and ick by the end of last night. I started my day today with a short walk and made a smoothie for my first meal. The weather is finally a little warmer, so I don’t freeze while drinking the smoothie. For lunch I have a salad with lentils, goat cheese, and some other veggies planned. Not sure what’s on the agenda for dinner but I’m thinking something light.
I also had a non-scale victory today with a compliment from my husband, he told me “my legs look less jiggly.” I know other people may take that differently, but he meant it in a really good/nice way 😊.
05/24 120.2 Back to normal again 😊. I had another non scale victory today when I tried on a pair of shorts that I’ve had for a while and weren’t the most flattering last year (so I didn’t wear them.) and now if I lose another inch from my hips they will be perfect. I’d be comfortable wearing them now but they’d still feel a hair snug. My food went well yesterday and today I’m looking forward to dinner. We’re having croc potted chicken thighs in a masala simmer sauce. We’ll have brown rice, onions, and oyster mushrooms with it. I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!
05/25 121.2 Up, down, up, down. My body or scale doesn’t want to make up its mind. It’s all good though! I went for a short walk this morning and did a good strength training session. I tried out the new jump rope out and realized it’s a lot easier to use inside because I can hear it hit the floor before I must jump. The other day I was getting so frustrated with it and couldn’t jump more than two times without tripping. So it was nice to day that I was able to get a good mini session in at the end of my strength session. Have a good day everyone!
05/26 121.2 At least it stayed at 121.2. Yesterday was good food wise and I did an awesome workout, so this could be some water retention too. I feel good, so I’m not too worried about. I’m super excited because we decided to get a Fruit and Veggie CSA, so we will have a wealth of produce in a couple of weeks when we pick up our first share! That will be nice to know that we can load up our diet with more produce. The nice thing is that it ends up being less expensive than what we normally would spend each week on groceries (including the produce and meat csa). Looking forward to the start of a new 10 day challenge tomorrow!
Total lost this round: 0.4 lbs. 5/16: 121.6--> 5/26: 121.2 Not too shabby. I'll take it6 -
Round 100 SW 245
Round 112 SW 242 (4/27/20)
Round 113 SW 238.6
Round 114 SW 235.2 Goal 232
Goals: walk at least 20 minutes every day and a total of 1 million steps between May 18 and July 31, log food and stay under calorie target, take my meds every day on schedule, and drink my water. With those goals, my target weight for this cycle is 232.
05/17 Not gonna lie, yesterday (last day of round 113) I indulged myself in old habits of overeating. It was ugly. It as a not-at-all-subtle reminder to me why this FatBoy cannot take cheat days too often - it's like giving a frat boy keys to a Ferrari and expecting him to drive the speed limit. Anyway, today was a new day, new round, new resolve! Hopefully I won't be paying for yesterday for too long, but it is what I made it. Today's morning weight: 235.2, blood sugar 82; today's walk: 60 minutes, 3 miles; log food: yes, under goal calories by 300; empty calories: still too many; meds: yes; water: 8 and counting. Have a great week, all! Be safe, be smart.
05/18 Weight: 234.6. Goals met. 300 calories to spare. Will post walking totals in the morning.
05/19 Weight 234.4, yesterday's steps 16,374. Will try to get my steps in again despite the rainy weather. Walking around in circles in the conference room makes me feel silly, but at least it keeps me from feeling wet.
05/20 Weight 234.4, yesterday's steps 14,247 (total 30,621 of 1 million.) Yesterday's goals met, 200 calories under.
05/21 Weight 233.4 (woot!) yesterday's steps 19,011 (total 49,032/1 million.) Yesterday's goals met, 300 calories under.
05/22 Weight 232.8,steps 17,775 total 67,407. Yesterday's food goal not met, logged but overshot by nearly 300 calories, mostly snacking. Have a great, safe, smart weekend all.
05/23 Weight 233.2, steps 17,601 total 85,008. Yesterday's goals met, calories just below targets. I had a sneaking thought that yesterday's good weight was a scale error. Either way, I am content with today's weight.
05/24 Weight 233.8, this is not going in the right direction! Steps yesterday 13,681, total 98,689 since 5/18. Food was logged and over a little (within 100.) All other goals met. Got a blister on my heel, likely no big walk today.
05/25 DNW
05/26 Weight 232.4, steps 12,323/121,194. Food not logged. Waled despite better judgement, hurt y foot worse. Will sit out today unless I can figure a way to stroll barefoot at work. Hope to see everyone next thread!7 -

We ALL have good rounds and bad but that is part of life. Don’t stay away, stay accountable. We don’t judge, we support.-Jpv,2/13/19
What we need to succeed is a sustainable way of eating, not a DIET we go on and off.
This is NOT A DIET. It’s a LIFESTYLE.

5/17 119.0 Our 50th wedding anniversary. We had planned to take a Caribbean cruise but that didn’t happen. No plans except college BFF plans to come by for a social distancing visit. She is one of only a handful of people who attended the wedding due to extensive change of plans caused by Kent State riots and our school (Southern Illinois University) closing early.

5/21 119.0 Vertigo! UGH. I have been interrupted about 47 times this morning today. I may never get to post! Finally at 3:01 PM I got caught up! Food prepped all morning and finally sat down around 2:30 and my Garmin says I had inadequate steps for at least 2 hours! My back is killing me. The grill is on and dinner is started!

5/24 117.5 I’m eating within my macros and I guess my body has decided to lose a bit more. I was curious to see if this would happen with so many 118.0 and 118.5 reading in the last few weeks.

Frustrated with the way the scale is (it actually isn’t) moving down but I’m happy I lost 1 lb. I was hoping for more but it’s better than nothing!5
