Round 118

Please join us! Starting on 06/26 JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS, we will begin Round 118
Anyone can join us at anytime during the round.

Join us! If we stay mindful we can do this, you can do this.

Welcome back past members, welcome new members, let's keep each other accountable for another 10 days!

Here is what you do: Post your daily weight and add little comments along the way of how your day went. Post everyday to let us know how you're doing! Copy and paste the days in your response--tell us how much you lost and other non scale victories (NSV) you'd like to share.

FOR NEWBIES - I find it easiest to copy the dates to a document or note in my device and edit it each morning. Then copy and paste to the message board. MFP will return you to the spot on the board where you left off on your previous visit which is nice to know if you like to scan all of the posts.

    Stephie, 49, 167 cm (5.4ft), Brussels

    OSW 172.0 lbs
    RSW 158.2 lbs
    RGW 156.0 lbs
    EGW 145.0 lbs

Starting over for me (again :unamused: so so sorry ). I've been weighting consistently but the pounds have just kept creeping on. I'm going to work more regularly and I've just about started to get back into a routine with my food. I've got a massive 10 lbs more than my lowest and I really feel it in my clothes and when I exercise.

    Goals
I post in the morning the recap of the day before and my morning weight.
Goals: post stats (calories, steps, exercise if any).

@GrandmaJackie Thanks for the heads up!

    BLOOMING JUNE
    🌻🥀🌸🌹🥀🌼🥀🌹🌸🥀🌻
    Looking forward:
I'm just too danged cussed to let this thing knock me back, and ruin all the effort I have put in to get here. I am stepping up my routine, and taking control. Sheltering in place means I can fully concentrate on getting in my exercise, and preparing healthy food.
    Aims:
    • June: focus on maintaining and increasing my progress
    • 2020: Goal is to stabilise weight around 145
    • Strengthen strategies to reframe the tendency to use unhealthy snack food as a reward/treat.
    • Make sure I have prepared healthy snacks available
    • Cut down on eating between meals by keeping busy
Never give up! Never give in!
    Back Story:
2018 goal: get back down to 160 ✅
2019 goal: proceed down to 150 ✅ with 2 months to spare
2020 goal: maintain below 150 dropping slowly down to 145 ✅ So far, so good.
That's a WIN in my book!
    2020
Focus: maintenance! I might even manage to lose a bit more ever so slowly.

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.
    • Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
    • A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
    • Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
    • The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
    • Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
    • The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
    • When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
    • Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.
Stick with the process. It DOES work! But it does take time, effort, and most of all, patience!

I am in. I am needing the accountability. I am Amye, 39yo and live in Tennessee. After my daughter was born in January I was diagnosed with an inflammatory autoimmune disorder and it has hit me hard emotionally. Then with quarantine I am working from home which has been good with cooking but my active level has decreased drastically.
Goals: tracking, fasting 16-8, drinking plenty of water and virtual fitness 4x a week.

    I'm in! Thank you, @GrandmaJackie!

70 year old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion... :D...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.

We used to walk 5 miles a day. A pinched nerve and back surgery side-lined me for about a year. Then I had hip surgery March 10th. Recovery is slow. Sure do want to be back doing 5 miles a day!

The Shelter in Place has everyone freaked. We need to remain calm and respectful of each other.

YOU HAVE YOU CAN YOU WILL

I could start with a bunch of excuses. Suffice to say that Jack Sparrow's pirates, my cravings, hijacked my brain. POOF I put on weight. There it is. Well, El Matador del Mar (yes, Bardem is a God) has vanquished those pirates.

    I am back.

Running a HM taught me that you can set any goal and achieve it. It just takes making a realistic plan and sticking with it. I've got this.

Six years ago I was a svelte athletic racer at 105lb. I got sick and left MFP and things went steadily down hill. I now weigh more than I have in nearly 2 decades. I;m feeling better and it's time to put a stop to the gaining. Thanks @GrandmaJackie
