July already........

I guess weight doesn't exactly matter at this time but staying as healthy as you can does. For many of us Keto helps us feel good and that can't be a disadvantage at the moment.

Feel very welcome to join, we usually post our weigh Sundays and use the 'Keto Monthly Challenge Spreadsheet' also in 'Announcements' to track weight.

You can post your weight here and also in the Keto Monthly Challenge Spreadsheet which Stormy updates. If you want to post comments etc please use this thread rather than the Spreadsheet.

We use this thread to encourage each other and to add our weight as well.

JULY 2020

    Hello to all!

To those of you who may remember me - I've missed you!!

To those who are new to KETO - It works!

I'm not going to try and play catchup, but I have gained weight since COVID started. Suddenly I was like, "Bread Is Life" and went nuts with the sourdough.

I’m in for July. June was a bust for me. No more excuses. I’m tired of letting things that are beyond my control influence my bad decisions. If it is going to be, it is up to me. I’m taking back control of me, myself and I. You can be my witness because I’m posting my good news right here every Sunday this month. See you all on July 5th. :)

    Hi everyone, I’m in.....

End of week 6 on keto for me although wasn’t my best as didn’t loose any weight but on the upside I made it out for a run this morning so happy with that
Looking at my macros split my carb intake this week was highest so far, still low carb But slightly higher than before, I have been introducing more veg & had some fruit which I am really missing. Also had some 2 glasses of wine last weekend which I’m assuming didn’t help but hey you’ve got to live sometimes..onward & downward as they say

    25th May - Start weight 172 lbs
    Current weight 155.4lbs (-16.6 lbs)

    Goal weight 130 lbs

    Sun 7/5 = 155.4 lbs (-0.0lbs)
    Sun7/12
    Sun7/19
    Sun 7/26
    Sun7/31

Have a great week my keto friends

Happy birthday America! I celebrated 4th of July too much all week and paid the price on the scale this morning. Although I have gained again for the third week in a row, I feel good. I’ve been ketoish instead of keto and I’ve abandoned a fasting routine that had been working for me. I am blessed with good health and I am covid free, despite being in an at-risk age group (over 70).

I attribute feeling good and being healthy to my keto way of existing (WOE). Even though I still have some weight to lose and I am not as disciplined as I want to be with this WOE, I am still enjoying benefits from this keto WOE. Keto gives me energy, clarity and countless other Non-Scale Victories (NSV) that help me pursue my health goals. I will adhere more to my keto WOE and start posting weight losses again soon, but for now I am grateful for NSVs. I <3 Keto.

Getting back into keto has proven to be a bumpy start. When I first lost almost 30lbs I was fanatical about everything; logging all my food, constant meal planning, and prep. I did that for 3 months solid but still managed to continue eating low carb for a few years. the weight was creeping back on slowly and then Covid came and I gained 10 lbs pretty quickly. So I'm gleefully going back to my keto roots and logging everything. Once I get fat adapted it will be easier to stay on track.

knew I'd be up this morning and 0.2 doesn't look too bad until you know that during the week I was 150.6 however after 5 very long days work wise trying to help get my son's restaurant ready to re-open, I broke out with his manager and 'helped' with fizz, wine and some definite carbs on top!! Why oh why does it take so long to loose and is it so quick to be gained? :s
