Well, I was retaining water despite cutting back on my sodium. Then I started cramping and figured out why. OH. Yeah. THAT. (Sigh) Not what I wanted to deal with tomorrow, but at least I'll probably drop some water weight.

I want to thank everyone for the encouragement. I am officially on a plateau, BUT, I am ok with that considering what I'm going through stressfully. I woke up this morning thinking of Stella. She has maintained her weight for 7mths now. In all my life ( and this is serious ) in all my life, I have never been able to maintain my weight. 5 stars to you Stella !!!

smesson - I missed your check in this week, how did you do ?

Veggie - Have a great time, enjoy yourself but stand on guard as far as your eating.

I jumped back on to this site about a week ago after a couple years off (and significant weight gain). I kept telling myself that I was good with it, but looking back at my pictures here I remember how good I felt and how much energy I had...I may be happy with how I look, but I want to be happy with how I feel again!
I am down 4 pounds so far and would like to join this group for accountability as it seems like a good fit.

    SW 222 lbs (7/24/20)
    CW 218 lbs
    GW 165 lbs

I am 5'8" and turn 40 in a few months. My husband and I have five kids (ages 1-14). We both work, I am back in school to finish my degree (graduation in December!), and we are moving (across town) in one week. Sounds like as a good a time as any to take better care of me!

I moved at the beginning of the month, and it was something. I ate maintenance for that week.

My hubby has been doing it too. Counting calories but doesn't weigh himself all the time. He has made it to 194 I believe. NSV I swam to the opposite end of pool underwater. Also I touched the bottom of pool with hand just from the swimming position. Not like before with aid of push off from side of pool. Or jumping in.
  • How is everyone doing?
  • I'm okay. Boyfriend's mental illness is flaring and I am stressed by that, but the weight loss is continuing.

Glad your okay. We have to be the Rock sometimes. I may have to go be with my dad for a week or two not sure yet but he's in the hospital right now. Glad your sticking with your routines with the weight. Sometimes that's the only constant in these days. I've started doing excercising right now so that something new for me. It's called fabulous 50 she has different routines 5min warm up 15 min excersice 10 belly fat then 5 min post workout. I'm only 45 but I have arthritis and not a great core.

I'm back from vacation and getting settled into a new hybrid routine for work. I'm 50% at home and 50% in office. This has made exercise and meal planning a little more complicated, but I'm getting there. I managed to get up at 5:30 to work out on each of my office days last week. I hope that's a sustainable solution for me. I may have to stick with the 5:30 wake-up time every day just to get into the routine. Lord, help me! :D Anyway, I've been doing a great job with exercise, but I could be doing better with my meals. I'll work on it!

    Hey people.
Apologies for not being around for the last 2 weeks.
I have been away with my family and took a break from logging calories.

I am back in it now and will check in on Saturday for sure.

Ladycopnh1 - thanks for asking about me, hope you are well.

    Let’s motivate each other

    Have a great week everybody.
  • We pulled the old and put in a new toilet today, and I still managed to eat on time, so that was a good thing. I have my calorie load pretty fine-tuned and if I don't eat on time I get ravenous and that will trigger a migraine. (sigh) Tomorrow will be challenging as we are borrowing Boyfriend's Dad's truck and using it to go fetch our screen door panels back, and then taking a whole host of things left from the move and junk and stuff (including the old toilet) and taking all that to the dump. Once we've done that, the garage will be free of junk and we'll be able to look at putting up shelves and getting things off the floor and organized, which will make life much easier.

I have about 400 calories left and I'm going to eat them but I'm enjoying just thinking about how I want to eat them and when. On that amount, I could nibble all evening.

I am plateauing again, cause that's how I do. (shrug)

I've had a horrible day with fibro flares, and wound up just setting myself to maintenance and eating what sounded good. I didn't go all the way to maintenance, but still more than usual. Since I don't have anything to use for pain at these times, I did use sugar a bit to help me handle it. Gonna own it and let it go, cause tomorrow's another day.

Exercise helps. We went for a walk tonight, and it was just lovely and sweet and exactly the sort of thing I want us to make a habit of every nice day, and my feet cooperated... and by the end of it I had more energy and less lower body pain. Hopefully I have a gym membership again the next time I flare, and I can just go to the gym and do a few reps to hit all major muscle groups and thus reset my brain earlier in the day.
