We meet here to explore, share, celebrate and (sometimes) agonize over how we do (or don't) incorporate weight loss guidelines into our daily lives. "It's a lifestyle, not a diet" is easily and often said, but sometimes not so simply put into practice.

This is a thread for everyone. If you're new to GoaD, or to weight loss, your questions and comments are always welcome. If you're maintaining, or a long-term loser, your thoughts on the topic may be just what someone else needs to hear. If you're reading this, join in the discussion!

Each weekday, a new topic is offered up for discussion.

Monday - misterhub (Greg)
Tuesday - Al_Howard (Al)
Wednesday - Wild Card
Thursday - Wild Card
Friday - imastar2 (Derrick)

Topic: LTL

LTL, what is it? What does it mean to YOU? What does it mean to others (your perspective)? Are you contributing? Have you contributed? Should you contribute? WHY???
I'll be back later, to share MY opinions.

I was a LTL freeloader for years. More recently I’ve been pulling my weight. Last minute nth maybe 2 I kinda ran out of gas and took a break.

But even if I’m not a thread started I answer most days. Even if I don’t have much to say I answer something because when I’m the starter I find it sort of discouraging to get little response.

Don’t know why I’ve never gotten into the roll call so much but at this point there doesn’t seem to be much goad without LTL. I’m not of a mind to let it go.

Trust me, I usually steal from WW, as I can seldom, if ever, think of a subject.

I've been volunteering each of month late. I do struggle with topics no lie. #1 As an oldie Goadie I realize the difficulty in coming up with a new topic each week. However if ther were more participants new or long timers it would make it easier skipping even a month or two.

It's hard to believe everybody's situations are the same as they were 1 month 1 year 5 years ago which gives fuel for numerous LTL topics. We know weight loss doesn't go in a straight line and we all have changes which occur ie; COVID-19 and we have to deal with them. A lot of us are dealing with health changes, nutrition changes you name it it's out there. Many of us are members of FB GoaD as well but FB in my opinion is not the same.

For me, LTL means putting into practice the knowledge we gain about nutrition, weight loss, physical fitness - and attitude.

    Sometimes that requires thought.

Because of my schedule I come and go from the boards. It’s hard to keep up with social media and I’m not sure I want to. 😆
That being said it is also hard to come up with a topic that hasn’t been reviewed thoroughly by this group. And it’s not that I don’t enjoy reading the threads or participation in them, guess it’s just hard to make the time these days.
