@METALforCHRIST
How are you doing? I log in every day to see your progress. You are an inspiration. Exercise is my biggest challenge, not because I can't... I just don't.
Be strong and press on!

Instead of making your goal to exercise you might consider making your goal to develop a habit of exercising.
1) Make an action plan that details exactly when and where the exercise will take place. Anything that is vague or open to interpretation gives you the ability to negotiate with yourself which often leads to deciding not to do it. Make sure the plan is solid and would only be subject to interruption in highly rare scenarios.
2)If your exercise requires special clothing lay them out beforehand. If it requires a gym bag go ahead and pack it. Reduce the steps it takes to start as much as possible. Also if you plan to exercise when you get home or off work make it part of your plan to change immediately.
3) Place a limit for the first and second week. Do not push yourself yet. You do not want to be digging deep to do the last 10 minutes of cardio or getting really sore from lifting. If you are lifting work on technique first. If you are walking and you can go 2 miles digging deep then go 1 mile only. If you get done feeling like you wanted to do more that is a good thing. You want it to feel a little too easy.
4) With exercise, like weight loss, the rule to follow is you don't always have to love what you are doing but you cannot hate it. I do not love getting on the elliptical but it is sometimes the most convenient cardio I can do. I watch a netflix show I have not seen before that I am only allowed to watch while exercising to keep me out of my head. If I am in my head the time will drag on. I do like walking and I love hiking. I also really like going to the gym most of the time. There will always be 'meh' days.
5) Do not look for results. Allow them to find you. Fitness improvement from exercise is in tiny increments that do show up but only after a decent amount of time. If you start looking for them right away you will be continually disappointed and that will make the exercise seem less worth it to you.7 -
Today was cardio and I went to a local walking trail. I did a 2 mile loop of walking and jogging. Was a very relaxing way of exercising for me.

Today I did a form of HIIT for my strength training. Took basically no breaks between exercises and did them all one after the other.
Did in 25 minutes what would normally take me 45 minutes to do. I don't think i would have been able to do that a couple weeks ago.
Did
30 kettlebell deadlifts per arm
60 kettlebell halos
15 kettlebell clean and presses per arm
30 kettlebell rows per arm
20 kettlebell slingshots
10 kettlebell two handed swings
80 mace 360's
60 mace dynamic curls
30 mace spear stabs per arm
30 mace grave diggers per arm
After I was done with the exercises I took a video of me doing the mace 360's

I have one of those days where I go into work before the afternoon and halfway through the evening so I had to get my cardio done nice and early.
Been awake for 2 hours and already have over 3,000 steps in.
I jogged and walked a one mile loop and did it under 20 minutes! That may not seem that great but two days ago when I did that it was a 22 minute mile. I dug in and was determined to do a sub 20 minute mile and I did it!!

New weight is 397 as of this morning! That means I officially hit my first short term goal of getting below the 400's! Next short term goal is 375 and I'm already 2 lbs into it15
-
Way to go! That may be a short term goal, but it sounds like a milestone. Hope this coming week is full of victories🏁2

This is absolutely awesome! You are doing something amazing here. Continue this path. Each new day is a gift and you are celebrating it greatly!1

Alright guys I have a "treat" if you really want to call it that haha. As side by side as I can manage of myself on the 19th of july at 420 and today at 397. I feel like I can see a little bit of a difference but I'm my own worst critic.

keep up the good work. I almost got to 400. Reached 382lbs but am only 5'10. I've lost 67 lbs now 2 days shy of 3 months. Im at 315 really wanting to get below 300. Been over 300 for 10 years and am a marine veteran who used to be around 188 lbs when I was in really good shape.5

Had a good day with staying below calories and doing my cardio (c25k) despite being sick.
Just under 19 minutes for a mile, a week and a half ago it was 22-23 minutes.

I'm going to the doctors tomorrow morning for a second opinion about my ailment. Whether I truly have shingles inside my ear, or a ear infection (which is what i think it is) i have found that i just can't get myself to do the weights right now....just compounds the pressure in my face. at least running has proven to still be very doable with my current situation. Wont be surprised if this affects my weigh in day on Friday lol4

I think it's awesome to see another believer working to treat their body as the temple it was created to be! Keep giving Christ the glory and praise and lots of prayers 🙏. Praying for the body of Christ that the Lord will bless and strengthen us all in that area! God bless!3

Did some running today, and ended the day in a caloric deficit.
New weight is 394 for a weight loss of 3 pounds this week.0
