    Today I will:
    - up with Matt 😁
    - post 😁
    - dishwasher 😁
    - check prescription prices 😁
    - write blog post 😁I thought yesterday was today (Thursday) so I was about to post it as soon as I was done. Lol. Thank God I double checked. It's scheduled to post at 10 which is in 40 minutes.
    - create two pins for each post 😁 Just have to remember to actually pin them today. Lol
    - bank 😁
    - add at least 50 words to story (month long challenge I started) 😁 Ended up writing 1110 words. I'm really enjoying this challenge! I'm getting a good amount of quality word count in every day.
    - start blog legal course 😁 It's giving me a headache. Lol
    - ask how to pin to group boards 😁
    - stepper for 1 hr 😁 I didn't wear a workout shirt last night and the shirt I did wear was thick cotton so by the time the hour was up it was soaked! It was really gross. Lol.

I'm super tired this morning even though I was in bed by midnight and got decent sleep. According to our weather people our heart wave is over for this month. YAY! This summer has been brutal. I'm excited to be able to go outside again!

    Onto some quick goals.
    Today I will:
    - post
    - pin
    - writing challenge
    - finish legal course
    - cook dinner
    - liquor store
    - Walgreens

    I think that's it really.

    Have a great day everyone!

    Random question..

Has anyone had food just randomly keep going off?
Every time I've bought a bread this week its had mold growing the next day, then i bought some oatcakes which you keep in the fridge and they're moldy now?
And things just keep going moldy and it's driving me crazy!!!

I'm wondering if its to do with the heatwave?

Its still hot here today. It not even really sunny but just extremely humid.

    JFT - Thursday August 13
    1L of Water

    No chips
    Gratitude Journal

@bex953172 - Oh boy, I remember those days. I used to work as a waitress on the evening shift so of course by the time I relaxed enough to get to sleep it was 1 or 2 in the morning. Our oldest was an early riser, they used to get into some big messes. I would get up and go to the couch, I would sit them behind my legs to watch tv while they had breakfast. At least that way if they moved and tried to do anything they would jar me awake. They can't be trusted on their own.
It probably is the humidity causing your food to mould. It's weird it happens in the fridge though unless it's really old.

@TerriRichardson112 - I hope your knees heal quickly

@teigansdad - Potato chips are my M&M's, I can't resist them in any way.

@kuhl50 - Those 2-4 lbs are what I'm struggling with too. Lose/Gain back and forth over and over. I am finding the stress at work, stress about Covid, stress about eating healthy, everything is just making it so difficult for me. When I get home I just want to sit, never take a walk nothing. I'll have to download the happy scale app. Maybe that will get me going again.

@Faebert - How many years are you celebrating as a non-smoker? I quit 11 years ago on May 11th, best thing I ever did. Last night my husband complained about paying $20.00 for a pack of smokes, I told him it was time to quit. I also told him that it didn't matter what he did to do it, unless he wanted it it wouldn't happen.

@cschmitz110515 - I hope you patch things up with hubby soon, it makes for some terrible days when things aren't smooth.

Lauryn and the kids came for a surprise visit last night. We were going to talk to Lauryn about not sending Jonah back to school and us helping with his homeschooling. Turns out that the school board announced their plans and they have decided not to send him back, he will do the online schooling for at least the first quarter. This makes us feel better, if he goes back to school it may make our visits nil.

Another miserable work day yesterday, hopefully today is better although I'm not expecting it.

    Have a great day everyone.

    Scale goals
    End of 2017: 174.6
    End of 2018: 189.2
    End of 2019: 196.4
    End of January: 194.6
    End of February: 196.2
    End of March: 193.8
    End of April: 192.6
    End of May: 191.8
    End of June: 192.2
    End of July: 188.6
    Today: 191.6

    Ongoing plans/ideas behind the cut
    1. Purchases: Look for an "ugly Christmas sweater" and a long-haired doll at thrift stores. Practice French braiding. Go to used bookstore and look for On Writing (Stephen King), Dying for a Paycheck (Robin Hardman), The Prince (tr. Tim Parks, Russell Price, or Robert Adams), The Secret Adversary (Christie).
    2. E2: What should the controlling ideas be in a study of world literature? Review world lit options. Create vocabulary lists for each unit that come from the texts used: Animal Farm, Julius Caesar, Wes Moore, I Am Malala. Find a way to incorporate changing words from one part of speech to another. Students need to know how to review multiple sources and synthesize information in order to draw a conclusion. Need practice with the difference between transitions and overlapping (at end of paragraph - "another issue is Y" vs "there are other issues besides X"). Quit using "in conclusion" and "I believe" and other writing-about-my-writing phrases. Confusion between direct/indirect objects and prepositional phrases. Use the UDHR and the Declaration of Independence to study paraphrasing; use that to front-load Machiavelli and how to deal with challenging texts. Confusion between everyday / every day and similar constructions.
    3. E1: Need practice with quoting & paraphrasing sources, identifying claims that would need support, use of last names for reference, and capitalization practice (common/proper nouns, titles). Difficulty using possessive nouns in their own writing. Honors: practice subject/object pronouns (my friend and I / my friend and me). Poetry: Revise "Songs are Poetry" handouts.
    4. Curriculum Development: Writing mini-unit. Review scholarly research on 5PE. (I think I can have this as an intro to the research unit so that they also get exposure to how quotes are integrated and cited.) Parallel structure; use of emotional language, specific detail. Use "Write About a Pebble" lesson from Atwell. How long should each unit take? Do research on characteristics: curiosity, persistence, resilience, creativity, responsibility, optimism, courage, integrity, authenticity, leadership, self-awareness, humility, compassion - others? Include grammarly check on essays! Review assessments. What is the purpose for each unit? What should the controlling ideas be in a study of world literature? Review world lit options. Schedule assessments for Fall 2019; plan out return times. Write 1 reflection weekly; type one in Classroom by Weds. Copy-paste to discussion board for comments due Friday. Homework: Online journal Mon due Tue; Reflection Tue due Wed; C&P journal in class Wed; Comments Thu due Fri. Bonus if you are the first response; further bonus if you respond to comments on your post. Grammar practice Mon & Wed; quiz Fri. Unit plan for research (Idea for regular: comparing same story on sites with different biases).
    5. Professional Development: Write blog post weekly. Comment on 3 posts each week - Tu Th Sun? Check with PSC. Talk with Z about articles and/or conference proposals.
    6. Medical: Dentist call to schedule cleaning. ObG schedule for October. PCP - allergy shots? left toe joints. Sleep center 778 3316.
    7. Theater: 1984.
    8. House: Siding. Or perhaps bathroom floor.
    9. Fun: Open beading on Thursdays. Coloring at library on Tuesday. Put jewelry away. Edney Hack Nights alt Weds. ASL? Spanish/Portuguese practice? Practice piano. ROL Secret Adversary. Buy bike rack for car.
    10. Volunteering ideas: Theater. Library. Animal shelter. Community Kitchen. Emerge Georgia training.
    11. Family: Google Hangout. Dinners?
    12. Other: Practice hair braiding with D. Check on appts for drs. Remind D to ask his dad about the table and check with home repair contractors. START BLOGGING AGAIN. 3 posts/week? Create test for MLA format. Create test for infographics and visual information. Therapy exercises: lunges, push-ups, ankle lifts, box jumps, plank. Remember that M does not like surprises! Check dates of classes and update semester plan. She Should Run vision statement. Update standards on board. When to change bulletin board?

WFTY: Progress. I am so tired. Have students get two pocketed folders for inside their binders instead of using portfolios.

@Snowflake1968 - the school schedule isn’t locked in just yet, but our town will likely start with a hybrid model.

It’s pretty complicated, but basically they will have kids split into 2 groups (a & b). Group A will go to school one week Mon-Thur and then Friday will be a half day at home. The next week they will be doing remote learning for the whole week while group B is in school. Every Friday they’ll deep clean the school between groups.

Right now they’re trying to assign kids to a group so that families can have siblings all home during the same week even across different schools. There’s more to it, but that’s the basics. Each town in the state is doing it differently and there is no way to please everyone. It’s causing a lot of drama in the towns.

    WEDNESDAY:
    - log everything 🔴/ stay green🤷‍♀️
    - Laundry, laundry, laundry🟢
    - Visit with some of the girls’ friends🟢
    - Softball tonight🥎

I didn’t sleep well last night. Worried about my stupid pool. We have one of those temporary pools. It’s about as big as you can get, but it’s not quite big enough for all the use it gets. We usually have 6 kids in there and it’s been so hot the past few days that my filter just can’t keep up. I woke up and cleaned the filter at 3:30 this morning then was up until 5:00. Finally slept for a couple hours before the kids got up.

    I’ll keep goals simple today.

    JFT THURSDAY:
    - eat sensibly
    - Update phone and store photos
    - Practice wedding music
    - Keep cleaning pool filter
    - Softball game

Still here, reporting in for accountability. Mostly on track today. Helped to get a morning walk in as a way to reset for the day. Will do again tomorrow since it’s predicted 102F... Made a decision that next time I feel “draggy” and just want to numb out with food, I will journal a specific question “I feel _____, and I want ____”. I think the specificity will help (sometimes I feel overwhelmed by “ I should journal” and don’t know where to start. Now I have a plan).

@SERmom3 and all the others affected.
It must be so stressful for parents and teachers at the moment. There are so many unknowns, and things are changing so quickly. My heart goes out to you, as you try to navigate this unprecedented situation.

@Bex953172 Those strength workouts can be deceptively simple, but thre is always a bite in them. 😂

@Snowflake1968 I tend to be a bit Gung Ho with the exercise at times. The knees always let me know when I have overdone it.

@Kuhl50 That word 'should'....It's an anathema to me. It sets my teeth on edge! 😂 It plugs into my guilt complex, and guilt is such a negative emotion.

Who says I should? Why should I? When should I?

I defuse the guilt by introducing choice and reframing my thoughts. My aims/goals are the things I could do. It's my choice whether or not I do them.

So hey! Ita good to see you back!

Well hey there my friend in the north!! How are things. I’m trying to work out where everyone is at. Am I right in thinking you are now trying to gain a bit? Hope all is ok?

Have you done your 🍑 challenge today? I have been running and weight training at home loads. Then the other day I did a gym class for the first time in ages followed by yoga. All very squat heavy and my *kitten* was in agony for days!!

Ugh it's payday today, I payed the bills and now have barely enough left to get through the next two weeks. It will be so nice when Rodger gets a pay, but apparently we have to wait two weeks for that too. I make good money, but man things have gotten so expensive.

Tomorrow I will be picking the Grands up early and we are going to go have our sleepover at our youngest daughter's new house. We have lots of plans, floating on a lake, and a fire in the evening. I'm looking forward to it.

Sounds like you have lovely weekend plans @Snowflake1968. Sorry about the money worries, such tough times for everyone right now 😔. Hope you can just relax and enjoy with the kiddos this weekend xx

      Onto some quick goals.
      Today I will:
      - post 😁
      - pin😁
      - writing challenge😁 Only 377 words but 50 is my minimum and I wasn't feeling very inspired last night so I'm happy with what I have.
      - finish legal course😁 Boy did my head hurt after that!
      - cook dinner😔 Matt wanted Chinese which turned it to be a bad idea. He's really sick today. So it's back to plain chicken and veggies for a few days.
      - liquor store😁
      - Walgreens😁

Yesterday was a good day. It was quiet and I got most of what I wanted done.

I'm currently sitting outside in my chair. It's only like 78° in the shade with a really nice breeze. This is the nicest day we've had in probably a month and a half! But we're supposed to get thunderstorms later so I'm soaking it up while I can. Lol

But I left my to do list in the house and I don't want to get up to get it 😭 I'll have to guess and then edit. (Edited) Lol. I would be working out here right now but my laptop had a dead battery so it's charging now.

I stepped on the scale this morning out of curiosity. My weigh day isn't until Sunday. But I've been doing 60 minutes on my stepper every night and I wanted to see if it's paying off. It is! I'm down a pound! Even with the take out last night! I'm excited to see what I'll be on Sunday after all the sodium is out of me! I have also been trying to eat healthier. I haven't been eating my exercise calories back which I'm surprised about. I also feel like my sugar cravings might be lessening. Yesterday I thought I wanted cookies but I didn't want to have to go out and get them so we were like "Eh. Maybe another day." I'm so so so proud of myself for that! My parents always have cookies so I could have gone up the road to get some but I didn't. I actually didn't even remember that until just now. Lol.

      Okay, enough babble.

      Today I will:
      - up at 9
      - post
      - set up legal pages on blog
      - read blog about Convert Kit
      - bring trash can to the front
      - request 5 group boards on Pinterest
      - brainstorm questions for WIP
      - research opt-in ideas

      - stepper for 1 hr
      - 50 word challenge

Haha not quite gain. I got severely stressed where I wasn't able to eat anything. Like nothing. I'd make food and couldn't eat it or physically spit out the first bite. And my normal "favourites" tastes weird and it was just like having a conplete aversion to food lol.
So i started dropping weight like mad and i was panicking about that. So when I put 2lbs on the other day it was good news haha. Although the thing that was stressing me has ended theres still like.. residual stress so now i just have the odd day where I dont eat.

Haha I'm about to do it soon!
I didnt realise that every 3 workouts is then a rest day on the 4th!
Soo not sure if that will count as 30 days of bum exercises? It'll be more like 23?
So i might do the rest days but do 7 extra days to make it a full 30.
