Good morning friends! I'm feeling some good progress toward our goals coming on - how about you?

Today I'm trying to remember consistency is my aim. When I had to take a hard look at myself I saw that I tend to vacillate between almost manic perfectionism (usually for about 3-6 weeks) and totally unrestrained, destructive eating (for about 3-6 months). Today I will accept the grace to fail sometimes and keep going anyway!

    Original Start Weight: 306 lbs
Challenge Start Weight (Aug 25 2020): 289 lbs
    Weight Today (Aug 27 2020): 287.4 lbs
Challenge Goal Weight (Jan 1 2021): 250 lbs

I agree! Sometimes I have to step back and not obsess quite so much. I really like the Just Give Me 10 Days Challenge, but will need to take periodic breaks from it because weighing so frequently can sometimes feed my obsessions a little too much. So, I need to psych myself out a bit at times and not weigh so often. It's why this challenge plus Just Give Me 10 Days is my current strategy for not getting derailed.

I've lost and regained the same 30-35 pounds four times in the last six years. I am now near my lowest point since 2014 and I am not going to let myself regain it this time. It gets very tiresome restarting at my highest weight and then having to start all over. Not going to let it happen this time. Not. Not.

Just joined and just saw this challenge. For me, 6 1/2 pounds by Jan. 1. That doesn’t sound like a lot but I am short so that is at least one size down. Weight today 124.5, goal 118.

I had a little bit of a blowout last night, but it was also a planned blowout, so I had a small breakfast, skipped lunch, and drank lots of water.

August is coming to an end. I have been tracking my calories, exercise and weight this summer which has helped me not to gain additional pounds. I started off July 1st at 204lbs and lost 9 lbs in July. My weight has stayed the same for August at 193lbs. Which is a good thing. For some reason my body does not want to go below that market. Looking forward to this challenge to make a further difference.

I'm glad that eating more carbs doesn't seem to be impacting my losses right now like it used to. I wonder if it's because I'm not as big as I was and/or I am doing IF, but I do seem more insulin sensitive than I was 38 pounds ago. That's encouraging. I'm especially glad because fall is such a delicious, carby time of year. So many root vegetables and soups. And where I live, the predominant crop is potatoes. It's almost an affront to our local farmers to avoid them. lol
