I've been 152 for almost 3 weeks. I've also been snacking/eating a lot at night.
And I hear you with the snacking. I have always wondered if my body senses the oncoming winter and tries to get my weight up for hibernating! Anyway, you are not alone...2 -

I don't know if I should do Sept or not. I'm not focused on weight loss now as I'm still trying to adapt to a new iron eating plan. I've been eating about 1800 cals, and I've been 152 for almost 3 weeks. I've also been snacking/eating a lot at night.1 -
Fruity Friday - I had my usual apple, but also a half a nice big juicy mango. Both in plain nonfat yogurt with 8 almonds - my usual breakfast, but with mango instead of blueberries. Yum. And an afternoon grapefruit. I find they are a good snack - the sourness leaves me wanting nothing afterwards, and the pain in the neck preparation (I peel and section them) makes it take a while and not be something I just grab and eat mindlessly.
Week one almost done! Saturday weigh-ins:

It's Friday evening! Today was a great day. My husband finished the deck while I cleaned the house for a few hours. Then we took the kids to the lake and it was really fun. Got in some kayaking too. Made something new for dinner. Wraps with shredded chicken, pickled carrots and watermelon radishes, lettuce and a Sriracha dressing. Fried rice and pear mango smoothies. Fresh and delicious!
I'm hoping I get to sleep in tomorrow. Last night my doggie had problems. I always bake my bacon in the oven on parchment paper. I had the pan with the old paper still on it and my doggie stole it and devoured all the bacon grease!😲 He had to go out 3 times in the middle of the night and at 5am. He seems fine now. Fingers crossed 🤞5 -

@micki48 Friday steps 3,200. Pretty sad compared to Thursday! I’ll be setting up my low impact elliptical motion device later this weekend. That should help me move more while studying. It’s even useable beneath the desk!
It’s been hard to connect online this week but once the dust settles from the start of the semester, I’ll get it back into my schedule.
Happy weekend, everyone!

Hmm. The answer, it seems, was pudding!
Just kidding. I've actually been focusing more on my nutrition. It used to not matter but as I get down to the last 25 pounds it matters a fair bit I think. Empty calories and filling up with bread start hurting my ability to get vitamins and stuff when I'm cutting to 1300-1400.
160 by Christmas, maybe still doable.7 -
We had a surprise visit from some good friends who live 7 hours away. They pulled their trailer into the yard Thursday evening and spent the night. Spent the evening under the stars around the fire pit sharing great memories & catching up. Al fresco breakfast Friday morning and a round of golf before they headed on their way to visit family. It was one of the most normal feeling things we have done in quite a while.
Then I had a really intense back session at the gym in the afternoon so I am taking it a bit easier today. Although looking at the forecast I need to get all my onions pulled before Monday as it looks like the first frost is right around the corner3 -
One hike done, we went to Oregon Ridge, 5.5 miles, the equivalent of 75 flights of stairs... 13k steps before noon... I need a nap...7

Sorry it’s late... currently in a car driving from Ohio to my new home in Georgia.. It’s been a crazy week to say the least!! And I had a gain but it is what it is I’ll fix it

@micki48 It's all good. Look at you meeting your 9K step goal this week! Nice job.
@Terytha I'm going to give your chocolate pudding smoothie a try! Thanks for sharing the recipe.
It's going to be a beautiful weekend and I have Monday off. I'll be looking for somewhere different to go walking this weekend with my husband, as I'm getting tired of the same old neighborhood trails. He grilled hamburgers last night - but how can having a hamburger derail a week's worth of good eating?! I wasn't happy when I got on the scale this morning. Is it the bread? Ugh. Anyway, I'll be extra diligent today.
Question for anyone - is this Leslie Sansone workout something I can find on YouTube? I'm wondering what guided workouts people are doing that are free to try. Thx2 -

@Gidgitgoescrazy Wowzers! What a great hike. I plan to get a little, new one in this weekend. Nothing like yours but a hike. 👏🏼2 -

@SMcFall0215 I have been thinking of you and your move. You will be fine. Moving is hard work. Give yourself some grace. You’ll work it off unpacking. Hoping all goes smoothly the rest of the way. Check in when you can.
@BaileyCat88 I would say just give it time to get out of your system. No reason you can’t have a hamburger from time to time. That scale weighs everything. It will be gone soon. Let us know what your hike is like. Aren’t you in Southern California? Anywhere near Torrey Pines? Love that hike. 🏋️♀️ I found Leslie Sansome on YouTube. Lots of videos. My dr just told me about something else called HASFit (Heart and Soul Fitness) Haven’t checked it out yet, but she said there are lots of different workouts.
@eggfreak Any more thoughts on a future Zoom? We could chat and the randomly say a word and all get up and do some exercise. 🤣😂...or not!2 -

Sleepin' Sunday (how close to 8 hours of sleep can get to tonight?)
Meatless Monday (all veggies and fruit today)
Toning Tuesday (the workout of your choice that includes toning/strength exercises)
Workout Wednesday (cardio workout of your choice)
Thirsty Thursday (how close to 64 oz of water can you get today?)
Fruity Friday (fresh fruit anyone?)
Steppin' Saturday (How many steps can you walk in a day?)
Here are my September goals:
1. Exercise DAILY for @ least 30 minutes.
2. Create a DAILY calorie deficit of at least 500
3. Drink at least 64 oz of water DAILY
4. Lose 8-10 pounds by month's end.
Here's my progress so far:
8/30/2020
Sleepin' Sunday -- Less than 3 hours of sleep (had LOTS of homework to do)
Exercise = 15 minutes
Calorie Deficit -- nope!
Water = 29 oz
STEPS = 8,919
8/31/2020
Meatless Monday -- SUCCESS!
Exercise = 55 minutes of walking (thanks to an early morning workout and an insane day at work)
Calorie Deficit = 611
Water = 57 oz
STEPS = 11,463
9/1/2020
Toning Tuesday -- SUCCESS -- I did some stretch band exercises
Exercise = 15 minutes of walking at work; 5 minutes of stretch bands
Calorie Deficit = OMG I was WAY over my calorie budget today! I was hungry today, but that was ridiculous!
Water = 52 oz
STEPS = 9,405
9/2/2020
Workout Wednesday -- SUCCESS (I think)
Exercise = 46 minutes of "bike riding" -- What's funny is that I did not actually go bike riding. I was playing the piano and singing at church, where several of the songs were fast; plus we had rehearsal prior to the service. I guess my heart rate accelerated enough for FitBit to notice. It equated my playing and singing with bike riding. So I counted it since FitBit counted it. Is that cheating?
Calorie Deficit -- 789
Water = 74 oz
STEPS = 11,106
9/3/2020
Thirsty Thursday -- 40 oz
Exercise = 15 minute walk around the school in the morning; 12 minute Leslie Sansone video in the evening
Calorie Deficit =
STEPS = 7,976
9/4/2020
Fruity Friday -- not a single fruit eaten today!
Exercise = 60 minutes walking the fire inspector around our school
Calorie Deficit -- nope!
Water = 75 oz
STEPS = 6,397

Happy Saturday ya'll! Today is technically my Friday and my Friday and Saturday shifts are my longest and most tiring shifts of all so so am BEAT today. Good day off and steps wise though. And tomorrow is the first Sunday all summer where I haven't had plans (thanks to a coworker scare with covid making me have to cancel plans with Mom and Grandma) and there is no rain in the forecast so I am GOING HIKING. I set a goal to hike all 5 of VT's 4,000 foot peaks this hiking season and haven't done a single one yet,so tomorrow is the day to get started. 3,000 foot elevation gain and 7.6 total miles. Stoked for the challenge!
Steps this week:
8/30- 7063
8/31- 7520
9/1- 6029
9/2-:6874
9/3- 10,126
9/4- 13903
9/5- 8952
Weigh-in tomorrow 🤞5
