@kstpierre52020 - I don’t have any specific advice for you because it seems as though you are on a steady and healthy course. As you noted, you’ve made the necessary lifestyle changes and I like @beshamama’s reminder to celebrate those non-scale victories). With a bit more time, just living with your healthier habits, I’m confident you’ll reach your goal. Strength training might help to burn more calories while sedentary but I think you already workout regularly, right? @kiay131982 may have advice based on experience working with the personal trainer, etc....

@kiay131982 - Everything seems to be going well for you. Congratulations! Keep up the good work.

I haven’t been adding personal meals and tracking recipes In my diary as I planned - because I’ve been busy with some work and family responsibilities - but, I’ll get to it eventually. I’m still making slow progress, and my weight has stayed in the normal BMI range. Lately, I’ve weighed between 142 and 144 and my goal is to move under 140 by the end of September. I’m not sure if I’ll reach that goal, given my current pace, but I’ll be close. I’ll be traveling next week so I can’t really increase my workouts too easily. So, my plan is mainly to stay within the daily calorie range and drink plenty of water. I hope everyone is finding success .... Enjoy your week and go get those goals!

@kstpierre52020 I really feel that frustration. I know my answer is going to seem counter productive but if all else Fails its gotta be worth a shot, right? Try upping your calorie intake, especially if you are regularly working out. I would up to 1500 a day. Only good, healthy clean foods mind... But give your body a little more fuel. If its running too much on empty then you will really struggle to lose weight xx

My goal for this week is to stick closer to just clean eating... Ive allowed a few treats in lately, and whilst the scales have stayed the same, I would like to make an effort to also get below 140 in September. I sit around the same weight as you @PatriceFitnessPal.

@beshamama thats awesome!! I cant sew For toffee!!

Thanks @PatriceFitnessPal and @kiay131982 I am very pleased with myself!
In health/fitness goals I am down to 165! I have stayed in my calorie limit this whole week and exercised every day. It has been hard because I feel like I am starving most of the time but I stick with it! We even got take out yesterday and I only had one plate! Usually I would eat till all the food was gone!

The weekends are when all my good work from the week unravels but I am determined to keep at it this weekend and not get too lazy.

@vikki_v_22 - Congratulations on your milestone progress!

@kiay131982 - Adding extra healthy, clean foods is always good advice! We shopped at our favorite Mediterranean Bakery this week and, while the food is full of fresh natural ingredients, I didn’t stick to as many ‘clean’ options as I should have. The raspberry hamantash pastry was fantastic but the tabouli would have been a better choice to fulfill an afternoon craving 😀.

@beshamama - I hope this weekend didn’t unravel for you. It sounds as if you’re doing well to resist to old habits on takeout portions and @kiay131982’s advice to @kstpierre52020 about adding extra healthy, clean foods might be worth considering by all of us. I was a bit outside my calorie goal but still in the deficit range this weekend so one of my goals will be to make cleaner choices more often.

Later this week, we’ll be traveling to help my younger son move into his college dorm. I’ve been missing a lot of rowing sessions (this weekend & the coming week) but I knew this was coming and booked a couple of personal training appointments to fill some of the gap. The weight training may be causing some water retention for muscle repair ... at the same time I’ve been missing my cardio because of no rowing. So let’s hope this maintenance phase will pass once we return next weekend and I settle back into a rowing routine. My goals are minimal this week but I’ll get on the treadmill at the hotel at least two days and stay within my calories while eating one the road.’ Best wishes for the coming week!

Hey! Hope everyone is well with all that is going on so far this year. I could really use an accountability buddy/team and some encouragement to stick with it this time. I've tried many things and always seem to self sabotage, loose motivation/ambition, or get discouraged. I have a very long journey ahead of me to a healthier lifestyle.

@lizzieann1987 Hi! Since I started joining in on these forums I have been sticking to things which has been awesome because I have had trouble with sticking to things in the past.

This week my goals are to stay in my calorie budget most days and I hope I can keep my exercise routine going strong. I also need to go to bed earlier so I can wake up with my girls who started online school today. I also want to maybe go on a good long bike ride once a week.

    What are your goals?

Hello all, it's been a couple of weeks since I have checked in. Thanks to my new air fryer, I have been able to eat more veggies on a consistent basis. Unfortunately, my blender broke so my smoothie intake has plummeted. I have been able to curb my sweet cravings a bit and I'm happy with all of that. I went back to yoga last week. I forgot how beneficial it is for my wellbeing!! I am going to try to rearrange the budget to purchase more classes to keep up with that. I, like everyone else, have a lot going on right now, so those things are great achievements for me.

I have read some of the past posts and I am loving all of the victories I've seen!! It is very motivating and inspiring and just good to read, so thank you for sharing!!

My goal for this weekend is to do a strength class and to get outside. Next week, I will try to get back to walking on my lunch breaks and go to yoga twice.

Checking in. I have been away again this week. Just wanted to encourage everyone to stick with your goals. Report here if it helps!
My victory is mental- perhaps physical- no scale here so not sure- but definitely mental! I have found a good stride to my intake- more in the morning and tapering off calorie wakes throughout the day so that dinner is light. I feel good. Went shopping and same size if not smaller are fitting. So ... yay! Goal this week as o transition back to home...
    1. If the scale says no change- don’t let it set me back, especially mentally.
    2. Keep going with the intake plan as it does make me feel much better.

    Keep going everyone!

I have a non scale victory to celebrate! I wore a pair of shorts that I have loved even if they were a bit tight on my gut the other day and was I ever surprised to see I could put them on with out unbuttoning or unzipping them!!! Guess I will have to invest in a belt 🤣

I didn't make it to a strength class last weekend, but I did move some very heavy furniture and I cut the grass. Not quite the same, but getting closer. I did go to yoga again last night and it was soooo good. I don't know about you all, but when my mind is good I am more likely to do other things that are good for me.

My little victory worth celebrating: my boss brings in miniature Hershey candy bars and puts them in a basket for people who come in. Of course that basket is right outside of my office. My goal was to not eat any of them from her latest purchase and I am happy to announce that I made it!

Keep reporting your small victories and hopefully they lead to the accomplishment of larger victories!

Hey all! Im new to the group. I just want to put it out there that although I do love reading through the form/group. I feel like voices get a little lost. I am looking for 1 or 2 accountability partners to talk to throughout the week, via text or email. A bit about me, I'm a full time environmental resource specialist, I'm 29, I like running, hiking and camping and crafting at home. I started at 171 and have gotten to 166, trying to get more lean and less soft, not sure what weight that will be, but my goal right now is 150. If you are a female in a similar boat let me know, feel free to email me and become each others accountability partners.

@lizzieann1987 - I’m a little bit late welcoming you to the group but ... welcome!! How are you doing? My first reaction to your post above is to try to be kind to yourself. As the saying goes, a journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step. You’ve learned from your past experiences, which can benefit this new journey, so congratulations on taking that first, single step!!

Usually, we commit to accomplishing one or two small, manageable goals for the week and then report back to the group about our progress. So, let us know what your plan is for achieving your goal as a way to stay accountable (to yourself) and get some support along the way. There is a wealth of knowledge among group members so feel free to pose a question or ask for advice, as needed.

@beshamama - Congratulations on your need for a new belt! If you buy something fancy to reward yourself on the non-scale victory, remember to share a picture 🤩 ... You set a lot of goals recently so I hope you were able to fit in the key ingredient: sleep 😴. Let us know how you’re doing...

@highmaintnance - Wow! You sound as though you’ve found some positive momentum and yoga is a fantastic way to combine fitness with mental health and overall wellbeing. It’s money well spent if you can carve it out of the budget. Good for you! Keep up the good work.

@kstpierre52020 - More positive news makes me smile so thanks for checking in. No movement on the scale can be a win for sure ... when there is no gain! I tend to eat heavier in the evening so I like your idea about tapering off later in the day. Now that both of our sons are at college, we can probably shift to a lighter dinner.

I didn’t do as well with meals on the road as I planned last week, but it made me appreciate eating at home more. I also didn’t make it to the hotel treadmill but we walked around the campus, did some shopping, and made enough trips to the car and back with boxes that I’m not carrying too much guilt. I think I gained a pound last week but it shouldn’t make a huge difference in the long run.

This week, I’ll try to row at least 4 times, commit to two days of strength training and our soccer team starts up again on a Sunday so that will be a bonus activity. I’ll also try to use it as an incentive to eat healthy since I’m one of the older people on the team and will need clean fuel to keep up. 😓

Have a wonderful week, everyone! Go get those goals!

New to this post. Day seven of another weight loss effort. It was a good week. Walked the traditional 5 kilometer route six days in a row. Began having to stop several times to relieve back pain. Yesterday didn't think of stopping, though there is still some pain. Counted calories, ate healthy, and measured exercises with Apple Watch. Got flu and shingles#1 shots. Need to ignore long term goals and try keeping my focus on One Day (One Hour?) at a Time.
