Day/Weight/Comment
09/14 202.1 I didn’t realize that losing the time for my evening walk would be such a large loss to my weight loss goals but it is. That’s the time can push myself to peak and it’s gone. I barely got to peak this week without it. No excuses. Eating healthy but finding time to workout is a struggle. I got 8 minutes in early this morning of aerobics.
09/15 201.1 Yesterday 11331 steps calories 1413 calories lunch walk and nothing else.
09/16 200.0 Yesterday 15604 steps 1249 calories 8 minute am aerobics, lunch walk, 10 minute evening walk. So close! so close! So close!
09/17 198.7 mike drop! Now to keep the trend going…I went out to eat last night, and ate 50% of my plate. Clam strip and fries. Not to many I filled up easily.
09/18 199.5 still holding on 15058 steps yesterday and 1340 in calories. Have you ever noticed that stress makes you heart race and burn more calories. I do not recommend it though. 8 minute morning workout and half lunch.

9/14 116.0 Life is good. It has occurred to me that yesterday’s lower weight was probably brought to me by sleeping until 10 rather than 6 or 6:30.
9/15 116.0
9/16 116.0
9/17 116.0 Had Great Greek salad yesterday with steak, side of melitzanosalada and a whole pita.
9/18 117.0 Well, that’s the carb bounce from 2 days ago and there may be more tomorrow. I fasted from 4PM 9/16 to 2PM 9/17 and had a 2.5 hour eating window before starting my IF period.6 -
I am back again. Really looking to see movement on the scale this round.
Rnd 124 SW - 169 EW - 164.3 (-4.7)
Rnd 125 SW -164.3 EW - 164.3 (0)
09/14 - 166.8
09/15 - 169.2 Well that is definitely not the movement I was hoping for. This is the result of eating out the last couple of days. Beyond my control, but it is what it is. Up almost 5 pounds in 2 days, wow! I needed a nice weekend off though. Back on track today and really hoping to get below 164 this round.
09/16 - 168.5 going back down I guess. Did well yesterday, so hoping to have a bigger drop tomorrow.
09/17 - 168.5 I have no words. My stomach was upset this morning, so maybe that's the reason. All I can do is continue trying. Eventually it will have to come back down. I have not been giving 100%, but I have been trying.
09/18 - 167.0 had a good day yesterday. My youngest turns 12 today and we have a couple of fun activities planned this weekend. Pretty much everything is still closed down in my state, so we are going to go up to the mountains and take the Jeep four wheeling. Spaghetti for dinner tonight (her favorite), so I will keep calories low the rest of the day. I have decided to go back home and work part time from home, and work the rest at the office. Probably not the best idea for my weight or metal stability, but it is what my kids need me to do. I am just lucky that I have a job that I can do that with. Since my kids will not be going back to actual school until at least January this is the only option we have. I only have 2 school age children left at home and leaving them there to do it on their own is turning out not to be working.

Round GW - 156
09/14 - 158 - Another day stuck inside because of terrible air quality. I’m exercising each morning using Ring Fit Adventure on the Nintendo Switch, though I wasn’t quite feeling it this morning. Meal prepped lunch and breakfast for the week yesterday, and dinners are all planned, so I just need to stay the course on snacks!
09/15 - 157.5 - I’m debating getting a new scale - ours is old and only can do half pound increments. Afraid it might make me a little too obsessed with the number fluctuations though. Got a good workout in this morning, and hopefully will be able to take the kids out on a walk today.
09/16 - 157 - Got out for a 2.5 mile stroller run/walk this morning. Need to get more sleep at night - I know that can be a factor in weight loss and my little guy wakes up at 5 AM.
09/17 - 157.5 - Was hungrier than usual after dinner last night, but stuck to my usual greek yogurt bar for a snack and was well under my calorie allocation - proud of myself for that, even if the scale went up a little! Hopefully will make it over to Target pick-up to get the new scale today. My daughter insisted on waking up and watching me exercise with Ring Fit Adventure this morning; nice for motivation but it does mean everything takes longer since I need to read her the dialogue.
09/18 - 155.4 - New scale! And certainly an interesting result - I tried the two side by side and while the old scale showed 157.5 again, the new one was 155.4. While the new scale is more precise, I don’t have any basis to believe that it’s more accurate than the old one (as much as I prefer the new number!) Just goes to emphasize that it’s not necessarily about the number itself; it’s the change over time and the impact on how I feel and look that really matters.

Thanks!! No fireplace, but there is a fireplace on the TV lol. I can definitely overlook the mountains from the Jacuzzi in the living room.8 -

My sister ordered a face shield from this company and loves it! We have both bought comfortable unique face masks at this site as well. Good luck with the anxiety!

I sympathize with your situation, @CamandJarvis , but the CDC does not recommend face shields as substitutes for masks. https://cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/cloth-face-cover-guidance.html
I know it isn’t the same thing as you’re describing, but I have an intense fear of heights, and had great success learning to drive over high bridges on a cross-country drive with some do-it-yourself online desensitizations programs. Maybe worth exploring something along those lines? DH , who’s in a high-risk group for COVID, wears a shield to protect himself and a mask for other people. It’s not easy, that’s for sure. Good luck!5 -

I'm not eating terribly, but I'm been pretty stuck at home for more than a week with the wildfires (VERY unhealthy air). As if COVID-19 wasn't enough! I'm still weighing in every day. I'm still trying to eat the best that I can. Until the air gets better, exercise really isn't a healthy option. For now, I'm just trying to maintain.
9/18: 225.4 (-0.4)/19.1 (0.0). I had takeout for lunch (I went in to work yesterday), and I had Thai food: it was an amazing cut of beef with lots of steamed vegetables and a little rice. I could have easily finished it (even if I was uncomfortable), but I saved half of it for dinner. My brother-in-law and his girlfriend are coming over tonight to watch the Laker game. We're going to have a "Scotch flight" set up (a gift from me to my wife), but I will stick with hard liquor tonight (not more than three ounces, I think). I'm going to try to get some exercise in today (some pull-ups and push-ups at least).

Day/Weight/Comment
09/14 141.0 I decided to incorporate my spoiler showing my round history. I finally feel like I've gained momentum in this process. Focusing on *maintenance*, not just the weight loss this time around. But my mini goal is to track my daily goals so I can hopefully get into the 130s again by hitting 139 this round.
09/15 141.8 Slightly up, but only slightly. Hit my goals yesterday and on track for the same today.
09/16 141.2 Hit my goals yesterday. Feeling very sore today and my back is killing me, so I'm going to be doing an arm workout for my 10 minutes today. I skipped dessert because I didn't feel like it, and I have to admit, I was hoping for a lower number today. But it's too early to call this a plateau. This is just the normal slowness of the process. More than anything, I'm waiting for that day when I *feel* lighter. I still feel ick.
09/17 142.2 I know I'm not truly up a pound, but I am still ready to see a lower number. I didn't hit my exercise goal yesterday, but I only had 1132 calories, so I'm not overeating by any means. Just have to keep plugging along.
09/18 140.2 Met all three goals yesterday. Anyone else give yourself a little pep talk right before you hop on the scale? ("If it's higher than yesterday, that's okay, it's just a fluctuation. If it's lower, awesome, but even if it's the same, remember, you're doing great!"). I couldn't weigh daily if I didn't psych myself up for it every time because the ups and downs- especially when you're doing everything 'right'- can be so demoralizing otherwise. Needless to say, though, I was happy to see this number going into the weekend. Let's stay focused on our goals over the next two days, everyone! No sad Monday weigh-ins.

Happy that the drop from yesterday has held so far. I spent the weekend dealing with some of the responsibilities on my plate, so that has helped my stress levels a bit.
15/9 126.6kg
I have moved to an IF 16:8 model, as I am finding if I have an early breakfast, then I am more hungry throughout the day. Still keeping it low carb as well, which really helps prevent snacking.
16/9 126.7kg
I'm finally settling into some good habits, and maintaining this new lifestyle is becoming easier. My husband is supportive, but still offers me treats that are high carb, which I medically need to control. He will get there at some point, but it is a test of my new habits.
17/9 126.9kg
Bounce, bounce, bounce. It will go down again. I just need to be patient. I'm going to try some low carb chocolate for dessert tonight. It will either work, or it won't.
18/9 126.5kg
A late post because I was travelling last night. High carb dinner, but I had planned for it, and it is an infrequent thing.

09/13 …..212.6….. ENDING WEIGHT LAST ROUND
09/14 …..211.6 ….. Better. I wasn’t perfect yesterday but my carbs were on the lower side and it paid off. Good luck everyone this round!
09/15 …..211.6 ….. I traveled today. I wonder what tomorrow may bring……
09/16 …..211.3 ….. Wonderful news after travel! When I am super low carb, even a small regular meal can put 3-5 pounds on me after travel so I was quite shocked to see a loss. Its very nice, but I know that “regular meals” do not help my diabetes. Only the lower carb ones so I’ve got to eventually go back to finding a balance. I will have to back out slowly (while backing back IN to low carb) to try to avoid those huge sugar drops. I’m formulating my plan. Horrid night last night. I didn’t get to sleep until after 8:00 this morning. My personal and business stresses and situations really got to me last night but I avoided overdoing the bad snacks so I am proud of myself!
09/17 …..210.8 ….. Yay! I didn’t drink enough water yesterday but peed a lot. Goodbye bloat!
09/18 …..210.6 ….. Yay. Two pounds down since the start of the challenge! Hopefully, I can keep on the right side of the tracks.

70 year old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion... ...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.
We used to walk 5 miles a day. Recovered from back surgery then hip surgery!! Got back to walking then I sprained my ankle. UGH! I was down for 6 weeks with the ankle...sigh...now the smoke from the fires is keeping us inside.
The Shelter in Place has everyone freaked. We need to remain calm and respectful of each other.
