We ALL have good rounds and bad but that is part of life. Don’t stay away, stay accountable. We don’t judge, we support.-Jpv,2/13/19
What we need to succeed is a sustainable way of eating, not a DIET we go on and off.
This is NOT A DIET. It’s a LIFESTYLE.

*********
9/14 116.0 Life is good. It has occurred to me that yesterday’s lower weight was probably brought to me by sleeping until 10 rather than 6 or 6:30.
9/15 116.0
9/16 116.0
9/17 116.0 Had Great Greek salad yesterday with steak, side of melitzanosalada and a whole pita. I have added longer periods of fasting so had about 17 hours yesterday band will have at least 19 today.
9/18 117.0 Well, that’s the carb bounce from 2 days ago and there may be more tomorrow. I fasted 22 hours, from 4PM 9/16 to 2PM 9/17 and had a 2.5 hour eating window before starting my IF period.
9/19 118.0 Went to PF yesterday for the first time since before COVID. Trying to do things that are similar to what I do at physical therapy so I have a routine when those sessions are over. My thighs really feel the pain today! No TMI x 2 days. And I haven’t made BPC in almost a week!
9/20 117.0 Smoke was terrible in the morning. No gym, my inner thighs were so sore I could hardly walk but it was a GOOD SORE! Shopping yesterday so lots of steps overall.
9/21 116.0 FINALLY! My legs aren’t killing me. Back to the gym this morning. Lesson learned-I hope!!
9/22 116.5 I was craving salt last night so . . . I ate some! Yup, just ate salt and more salt with salted cucumber slices and salted almonds! Salt, salt salt! LOL Good workout at the gym yesterday and PT today.7 -

Day/Weight/Walking distance/Comment:
9/14 167.2 Walked 3.01 Rough trail walk yesterday. Had to do a little rock climbing, nothing too hard but strenuous workout. No clue why my weight is up again today. I have been watching my calories and sodium. Maybe retaining water from tough workouts?
9/15 167.0 Walked 3.05 East breezy walk last night. You guys I love my bf but he makes the weirdest food combinations. Air fried chicken breast - with mushroom pho noodle bowl. He's so proud of himself because he checked the calories and they were both good. Of course not a veggie in sight but he's thinking about my food needs and I appreciate that so much. The sun is shining today, no problem getting a walk in today!
9/16 165.9 Walked 5.08 Beautiful weather, trail close to the house. I guess that bump was water weight as it's gone now.
9/17 166.2 Walked 2.03 Short walk, didn't have a lot of time. Why do I eat Asian food? The calories can be low (if you watch the sauces) and there are a lot of veggies, but the sodium. Oh well. Weather is beautiful again, trying to think of somewhere different to go tonight.
9/18 166.4 Hiked 2.02 I didn't have enough time to do more and I was trying a new part of a trail I do occasionally. I found out it's mostly for bikes, apparently. I almost got ran over so I didn't mind cutting it short. The west side of the road is for hikers and the east side is for mountain bikes, as the biker explained. One very nicely, the other guy was a jerk. If there are no signs, and the website doesn't say anything how are people supposed to know this unwritten rule. Someone almost runs me down and then yells at me. Oh well. Luckily the opinion of a 24 year old mountain biker isn't an important one to me. Happy Friday!!!
9/19 165.8 Hiked 4.03 Had a doc appt and walked after. Everything went well there, my BP was lower than it had been and I got my flu shot.
9/20 164.9 Hiked 1.08 Took the baby with me on a hike in the woods. I cannot recommend strongly enough taking a three year old on a hike in the woods. We walk a little bit in and she says this isn't scary, no tigers, no dinos. We're playing hide-n-seek here. Where is she???
9/21 164.8 Walked 0 Took yesterday off from walking. I had a good day. Went to the farmer's market with the baby and then we went to my BF's house where he was playing with her. Seriously is there anything cuter than that? Him dancing with her to Paw Patrol music about stole my heart. I'm so glad he quit that job that had him travel so much.
9/22 164.8 Hiked 3.25 Lovely hike yesterday after work. The weather was perfect though I'm already running out of sunshine. I have to start leaving work at 4:30ish to get a long walk in. One more day of this round I really hope to drop a little more tomorrow, though I'm happy with any loss at all.8 -

Sept. 2018 - 187
Goal -150 Alcohol only on weekends, exercise daily, plenty of water, no bread.
9/14-163-The weekend...I’m just glad it’s Monday and we are starting a new round. Good luck everyone! I’m glad you are here!
☕️👋
9/15-162-Went to a quilt class, no time for exercise....came home, started dinner and joined quilt guild on zoom. Busy.
9/16-Garden club mtg outdoors at park, sewed and walked 2 miles before dinner. Chips & guac, not a good idea. At least I didn’t drink beer with them. Bike ride this morning.
9/17-163-Popcorn late in the afternoon; I’ve got to stop that.No bike ride yesterday, but I sure got a lot of sewing done in my biking clothes😂. Lots of stuff to do today, but plan to get the bike ride in.
9/18-162-Walked 3 miles. The air is finally better and the days are getting cooler!
9/21-DNW-Our boys came to visit for the weekend, lots of food and fun. Going to help garden club work on the downtown pots to keep them pretty.
9/22-162-Still suffering the repercussions from the fun weekend. They are chopping all of the corn that grows along my bike road, which means piles of truck and trailers on the dirt road, so no bike ride today. It is so fun to watch though! It’s silage for the dairy’s and it get hauled to a dairy, unloaded and packed into a giant pile by a huge tractor and covered for feed all year.7 -

Day, Weight, Comment
09/14 188.6 I definitely made a post but it seems to have been eaten by the internet. Ah well try again!
09/15 188.6 again is good for me. I was expecting a stall after the drop from last round, and my dinner was quite salty last night. I also decided to eat a few more calories bc I was so very hungry. So I tried to eat at maintenance calories, I'm feeling better today and shooting for 1300 to maintain my downward trajectory
09/16 188.8 welp I was looking over my old weight loss entries from 2017 (lost 30 lbs!) and I noticed that I would stay the same for several days and then lose a couple pounds all at once. I think I'm just not an incremental loser, my body is stubborn but if I'm patient it will get on board with the program. Estimated calories yesterday 1224.
09/17 188.6 still hanging in here but my BF % was low, so maybe I have some water weight hanging around. My estimated calories yesterday were 1375 so a bit higher. shooting for 1300 today.
09/18 188.0 the scale budged! Good news~ and I even saw 187.x flash on there but try as I might I couldn't get it to cooperate, haha! Total estimated calories yesterday was 1477 higher than I wanted but I needed some chocolate in my life bad. I have to eat light today to save some cals for the dinner party tonight, which I am hosting. My contribution is beef and potato picnic pies and a big pan of roasted ginger carrots. Maybe a spinach salad also with walnuts, strawberries and feta.
09/19 187.2 this is exciting! I feel a bit dehydrated tho. drinking water, daughter's birthday dinner with family and birthday cake tonight I am going to try to pre
log my food so I can stay in bounds.
09/20 191.0 well all my partying caught up with me I suppose. Eating light and drinking water today, also enjoyed this amazing weather today and took the pup for a 3 mile walk.
09/21 189.2 on the way back down> I hope the rest goes quickly so this round isn't toast! I was doing so well and only 2 days left to make up for it, ugh!
09/22 188.4 at least it's (a TINY BIT) below my starting weight, lol. Let's hope it sticks or drops for tomorrow. Total calories yesterday 1389.

Day/Weight/Comment
09/14 141.0 I decided to incorporate my spoiler showing my round history. I finally feel like I've gained momentum in this process. Focusing on *maintenance*, not just the weight loss this time around. But my mini goal is to track my daily goals so I can hopefully get into the 130s again by hitting 139 this round.
09/15 141.8 Slightly up, but only slightly. Hit my goals yesterday and on track for the same today.
09/16 141.2 Hit my goals yesterday. Feeling very sore today and my back is killing me, so I'm going to be doing an arm workout for my 10 minutes today. I skipped dessert because I didn't feel like it, and I have to admit, I was hoping for a lower number today. But it's too early to call this a plateau. This is just the normal slowness of the process. More than anything, I'm waiting for that day when I *feel* lighter. I still feel ick.
09/17 142.2 I know I'm not truly up a pound, but I am still ready to see a lower number. I didn't hit my exercise goal yesterday, but I only had 1132 calories, so I'm not overeating by any means. Just have to keep plugging along.
09/18 140.2 Met all three goals yesterday. Anyone else give yourself a little pep talk right before you hop on the scale? ("If it's higher than yesterday, that's okay, it's just a fluctuation. If it's lower, awesome, but even if it's the same, remember, you're doing great!"). I couldn't weigh daily if I didn't psych myself up for it every time because the ups and downs- especially when you're doing everything 'right'- can be so demoralizing otherwise. Needless to say, though, I was happy to see this number going into the weekend. Let's stay focused on our goals over the next two days, everyone! No sad Monday weigh-ins.
09/19 142.2 No exercise yesterday, hit the other two goals. Good thing I do those pre-weigh in pep talks! The weird thing is that today is the first day I actually woke up *feeling* thinner. Starting to feel a little less fat in the hips, and a little less in the stomach when I sit up straight, too. So I'm happy! A scale fluctuation is just that. I AM SEEING PROGRESS! Today marks one month since I restarted this challenge, and and even with today's bounce upward, I've lost a solid 5 lbs!
09/20 140.0 I knew it! Glad I trusted my knowledge of my body and not the dumb scale. It's meant to be a learning tool, not a torture device. Only 2/3 goals met yesterday (no exercise).
09/21 140.8 Still on track. No exercise yesterday, however.
09/22 140.0 No exercise yesterday. I've been 140 for four out of the past five days, and I feel a change coming (hopefully, it's a 139!). Today should be motivating for us all because it's the last day of round. Let's make it a strong finish, everyone!

Round 1 EW - 158.4
Round 31 EW 142.9
09/14 - 142.7 - A few more days before I go away on holiday - I might be a nerd and take my scale with me.
09/15 - 142.4
09/16 - 142.3 - I do plan to be a bit indulgent over my birthday vacation, but not go crazy. If I do gain a little I will be okay with that. Getting closer to my 50 pound loss now.
09/17 - 141.7 - Good to see this number before heading out on vacay this morning.
09/18 - 142.3 - Happy with this number. Yes, I brought my scale with me
09/19 - 141.6 - Less stress on vacation, more movement.
09/20 - 141.0 - I hit my 50 pound loss today, great birthday present : - ) I am okay if I fluctuate from here, perfect timing (and of course hard work) to hit that number today. I go from obese to just overweight today : - )
09/21 - 142.3 - I kind of expect it to go up more, still away on holiday. That was a real gift getting the good number on my birthday. I am feeling lean-ish and doing lots of hiking, but no kitchen so food choices will catch up with me. Thank you for the birthday wishes!! : - )
09/22 - 142.9 - I expect this to go back down, I was hiking for 3 hours yesterday in the mountains after my morning zumba workout, so that should catch up over the next few days

@CamandJarvis A few rounds ago I was especially thirsty. The more water I drank, the thirstier I'd get, even drinking 120+ oz of water on the daily. I still take a full water bottle with me to bed and drink about 10 oz during the night. One of our folks on here thought maybe I was in was ketosis. Anyway, still thirsty. Still pounding the H20. Guess there is no harm in it since my numbers are not in the pre-diabetic range.
I've gone through this before but it seems so much worse than normal. I know my numbers aren't even close to pre-diabetic a couple months ago and I've cleaned up my diet since then. No worries there! Its odd. But I am sleeping in the daughter's bedroom with the pup while BF still recovers from surgery and her room is bitter cold. I can't even sleep with the fan on which usually I can overcome by bundling up well. A giant down comforter, weighted blanket, and a big fluffy blanket (the short end of the blanket is taller than me!) can't even keep me warm! Wondering if the cold is getting to me a week after I moved into it.6 -

9/14: 226.0 (+0.6)/19.2 (+0.1).
9/15: 226.8 (+0.8/19.3 (+0.1).
9/16: 227.6 (+0.8)/19.3 (0.0).
9/17: 225.8 (-1.8)/19.1 (-0.2). @quiltingjaine I'm here! I was logging in to post when I caught your notification... I swear! Getting traction has been a real problem for me recently. I'm not eating terribly, but I'm been pretty stuck at home for more than a week with the wildfires (VERY unhealthy air). As if COVID-19 wasn't enough! I'm still weighing in every day. I'm still trying to eat the best that I can. Until the air gets better, exercise really isn't a healthy option. For now, I'm just trying to maintain.
9/18: 225.4 (-0.4)/19.1 (0.0). I had takeout for lunch (I went in to work yesterday), and I had Thai food: it was an amazing cut of beef with lots of steamed vegetables and a little rice. I could have easily finished it (even if I was uncomfortable), but I saved half of it for dinner. My brother-in-law and his girlfriend are coming over tonight to watch the Laker game. We're going to have a "Scotch flight" set up (a gift from me to my wife), but I will stick with hard liquor tonight (not more than three ounces, I think). I'm going to try to get some exercise in today (some pull-ups and push-ups at least).
9/19: 225.6 (+0.2)/19.1 (0.0).
9/20: 224.2 (-1.4)/19.0 (-0.1). I was a little "snacky" last night, but overall I did okay. I've been pretty frustrated lately with my recent ups and downs, but I'm REALLY good MOST meals. Not just most days. Even on a day when I would say I'm "off-plan," I'm STILL mostly on-plan. I feel like I'm working pretty hard; I'm just hoping that the scale starts to agree with me a little more often. Air quality here is still terrible; I want to get back to exercising ASAP.
9/21: 222.6 (-1.6)/18.8 (-0.2). I'm going to be very mindful in this moment. I'm happy with my weigh-in today, but my post yesterday is still valid; what I do in the long-term is still key to my success. That being said, I am in control of every bite and every sip that enters my system as well. At any moment I can make a choice to consume, or to pass, on ANYTHING. I'm feeling a little yin and yang here. Both situations are true, even if they seem to conflict with each other on some level. I also can't deny how good it feels to have some tangible evidence that I am back on the right track.
9/22: 222.0 (-0.6)/18.7 (-0.1). Food intake is continuing to go well. I'm trying to "work in" some exercise, but still limited by air quality. This round is going to end up being pretty good. My progress chart agrees with me.

It's an Apple program called "Happy Scale."
If you have an Android phone, "Libra" is pretty great, too. I included a pic of Libra below.
I hate Apple in general, but I REALLY love Happy Scale.

Round GW - 156
09/14 - 158 - Another day stuck inside because of terrible air quality. I’m exercising each morning using Ring Fit Adventure on the Nintendo Switch, though I wasn’t quite feeling it this morning. Meal prepped lunch and breakfast for the week yesterday, and dinners are all planned, so I just need to stay the course on snacks!
09/15 - 157.5 - I’m debating getting a new scale - ours is old and only can do half pound increments. Afraid it might make me a little too obsessed with the number fluctuations though. Got a good workout in this morning, and hopefully will be able to take the kids out on a walk today.
09/16 - 157 - Got out for a 2.5 mile stroller run/walk this morning. Need to get more sleep at night - I know that can be a factor in weight loss and my little guy wakes up at 5 AM.
09/17 - 157.5 - Was hungrier than usual after dinner last night, but stuck to my usual greek yogurt bar for a snack and was well under my calorie allocation - proud of myself for that, even if the scale went up a little! Hopefully will make it over to Target pick-up to get the new scale today. My daughter insisted on waking up and watching me exercise with Ring Fit Adventure this morning; nice for motivation but it does mean everything takes longer since I need to read her the dialogue.
09/18 - 155.4 - New scale! And certainly an interesting result - I tried the two side by side and while the old scale showed 157.5 again, the new one was 155.4. While the new scale is more precise, I don’t have any basis to believe that it’s more accurate than the old one (as much as I prefer the new number!) Just goes to emphasize that it’s not necessarily about the number itself; it’s the change over time and the impact on how I feel and look that matters.
09/19 - 154.6 - Yesterday was a HARD day. I’d been struggling all day with snacking - it’s so easy to “just have a bite or two” of whatever I’m feeding the kids. Then I was really affected by the death of Justice Ginsburg and wanted so badly to eat tons of junk food to feel better. BUT, I didn’t, and while I was a little higher than usual (1,700 instead of the 1,500 I aim for) I was still in the black for the day. Today, I’ve got a socially distanced picnic for a friend’s birthday - really want to stay within my calorie goals especially since I’m still seeing progress.
09/20 - 154.2 - Air is getting bad again - glad I got in a few good walks and time outside the past few days. I also downloaded an audiobook to listen to while taking the dog for her evening walk so I’m hoping to up the distance a little. Made an apple pie last night at my husbands request, and managed to limit myself to a small piece with about a fourth of a cup of ice cream. Reminding myself that I can still have stuff like that, just need to account for it and keep things in moderation.
09/21 - 153.6 - Ok, I know this sounds ridiculous, but I’m a little worried that I keep dropping so fast. I started this month at 165 - part of it is the new scale (looks to be about a 2 lb difference) but still! Down over 10 lbs in 3 weeks? I have MyFitnessPal at Lightly Active and set to lose 0.5 lb a week! What is happening that I’m losing 3-4? I’m afraid I’m setting myself up for a major rebound. Yet I don’t feel like any of the changes I’ve made are that major - just measuring out correct portions, eliminating mindless snacking and exercising in the morning.
09/22 - 153.2 - Green air quality! Got to take the kids out for a hike this morning and really enjoyed the sunshine and fresh air. 😊. Also got my lunch for the week made last night - turkey meatball soup! So excited for fall and plenty of healthy and delicious soups for lunches.

Round 125 (3): 170.0 to 169.2 (-0.8)
🏃 09/14: 167.8 Great start! I started my Switch Boxing game last night, and it was fun. Now, I can switch between the different games to keep me happy about getting up to move! I ate an egg and spam sandwich which was pretty tasty. Then, I had spaghetti for dinner which is always very forgiving to me. I forgot how good it is for me to eat when trying to lose weight despite the carbs.
🏃 09/15: 168.8 Some part of me knew yesterdays number wouldn't stick. I ate a can of raviolis and vegetable beef soup for lunch and dinner respectively. I snacked on Harvest Snap peas, which are really yummy. I stayed within my calorie goal and played Just Dance on my Switch. Today is Ring Fit Adventure Day! I may tweak my calorie goal to lower it just a little bit.
🏃 09/16: 168.2 I'm on a rollar coaster of fluctuations this week. I'm okay with this as long as I don't see the 170s anymore! I'm sure I'll make it down, even if it's slower than I'd like. I'm truly in no real rush, but it's tough to remind the competitive part of my brain about that. I didn't play Ring Fit Adventure yesterday, but I'll fit it in today.
🏃 09/17: 168.6
🏃 09/18: 169.4 This is the day when I became just a little frustrated and decided to fast just a little. I knew any benefits from this might be shortlived, but I wanted to give it a try anyway.
🏃 09/19: 166.2 I was happy to finally see this, but was doubtful if it would stick around.
🏃 09/20: 166.6 I had a BBQ with family yesterday, and managed to avoid overeating, so I'm happy about that. I have not been excercising much lately, though. I am hoping to get back to it this week. Today, I ate bacon, eggs and hashbrowns for breakfast. Then, I had pork chops, green beans, and macaroni and cheese for dinner. I haven't calorie counted since the 17th, so I will resume logging tomorrow.
🏃 09/21: 165.8 Hooray! I wish I could have my husband cook me breakfast and dinner everyday because that worked out really well! 😂😂😂 The myfitnesspal app congratulated me on losing 14 pounds so far! It turns out it's true! 179.8-165.8=14!
🏃 09/22: 164.8 Yes! I did better on this round than expected. I think my appetite is adjusting and I am able to eat less naturally rather than doing my best to fill in every calorie in my log just because I can. Stopping eating when I'm full and being OK with throwing away food are key factors that I have been fighting. Also, theoretically, maybe I broke through something letting me get rid of more water weight, which is always fun! I've also consumed lots of water, but no exercise except for early in this round. I'd like to change that because I know the exercise is the only way I am going to progress long term. Without it, I will undoubtedly find another plateau soon. There is one more day left, so if I can hold this number, I will be excited!

OK Ready to try again
I got way off track last round, Trying not to be an emotional eater, I found myself craving a drink at the end of the day. I have never been much of a drinker. I could count on my fingers how many drinks I have in a year, so this was alarming. So I had a snack instead and within a couple of days all my old bad eating habits were back. I don't have a solution right now - but I have to keep trying. I have special needs adults in my family who depend on me to be there for them 24/7. I need my health.

Ten Day Challenge
9/15 and getting stronger. Love this challenge....I start my day with weighing (use a Withings and heart rate monitor to track). For four months - a day at a time- I have not deviated from my lifestyle plan (spiritual, mental, and physical). Last month I lost nine pounds, but for the last two weeks (with a continuing 900+ calorie deficit daily and no eating back my exercise calories) I've continued to hover at 195. The science says this is not possible, so I've reviewed the charts and reflected on daily goals. I've kept my fat at 10% and continued with the deficit I'm trusting the process. The good news is my muscle gain is gently rising as my fat is slowly descending on the chart. I'm also seeing more strength and energy during my workouts. Yesterday, I had the best workout in the last four months of this journey. I'm welcoming this challenge as a new strategy to confirm that I will meet my goal of being out of the 190s by the end of the month. Best wishes to each of us....by staying in the moment making consistent daily positive choices towards health (on all levels) we will reach of goals! Thank you @ Grandma Jackie for this opportunity!
9/16 and maintaining fierce dedication to my lifestyle!!! I'm learning patience is a strategy for success. I'm slowly gaining strength/energy which is a priority. I know the weight loss will be certain throughout this journey. Today I received the kettlebell that was ordered and looking forward to adding it into the fitness routine. Grateful for this opportunity and wishing everyone success with their daily goals.
9/17 and still noodling around the same weight. I'm donning my warrior gear and choose to look at the positive side of this odyssey....getting healthier, getting stronger, not gaining fat, mental strength, patience. So am I doomed to be the strong fat girl! I'm keeping my calories at a 900+ deficit and eat nutrient dense meals that are wholesome and filling. I'm increasing my fitness regime in monthly increments. I log in daily so aware of my calories, macros/micros, and all the biometrics on the Withings scale. I"m keeping the faith and will reflect at the end of the month. In the meantime, I'll be diligent, kind, and a bit self indulgent with scented epsom baths, the luxury of deep sleep, watching my garden grow, and letting my body know that I am safe and happy so there is no survival need to hang on to the chunkiness. Congratulations to all those that are successful and wishes for patience and knowledge that we will be joining their ranks for the rest of us. Just takes time....and when I think of where I was 6 months ago, I know that I can fly. Just have to let go of the weight holding me earthbound!
9/18 and a 17 day plateau has been broken! I woke up this am grateful for another day on this earth but thinking I really need some validation that all this work is making a difference after 17 days of bouncing between 194.7-195.2. Hang in there for all of you that are frustrated ....it will! I felt a hip bone last night and have lost an inch in my chest (oh well, it is just part of the overall plan and I'll take it where ever it occurs). I never allow myself to get hungry and usually stop eating between 5-6:00. Last night I had a bit of an appetite and had calories left to consume. So I picked the most colorful plate in the cupboard and filled it with fresh chopped cauliflower, grape tomatoes, celery, red bell pepper, and radish. I sprinkled Table Tasty and drizzled Bragg's apple cider vinegar dressing (without olive oil) over the festive plate. This is one of my go-to snacks and I still maintained my 900+ deficit for the day. So satisfying, tasty, and chock full of nutrition....love eating this way! Because I ate later than usual, I was set to receive the same old - same old when I faced the scale. But the science won out....finally a break through! So happy to report good news...but I know I need to maintain a balanced approach. There will be up days and down....the downward trend is bound to happen if I just stay the course. Wishing every one a day filled with joy and making the right choices for you. The magic will happen!
9/19 and there are just. no. words. I stayed the course anyway, finding it a challenge to engage in enthusiasm. The deficit I maintain everyday is suppose to result in a 2 pound/week loss. Let's see what happens tomorrow. I'm always looking for the pony in the pile, and there is a bright spot. I received my new Fenix Garmin and it is amazing!
9/20 and I'm down again and out of the dreaded 195er plateau. I've spent time in reflection comparing this month
's nine pound loss and last month's inability to lose. Three observations:
Last month even though I stayed within my daily calorie budget, I usually ate the full 1055 allotment. I made
my own salad dressings and that is where I would consumed my fat for the day...nuts or a tablespoon of
seeds in the dressing, or some avocado in the salad. In September, I have been fierce about staying at 10%
in my macros with no overt fat.
I discovered Walden Farms Dressing and went against my principle of eating only whole foods. My
body is not used to processed foods and has never consumed artificial sugar (aspartamine - the worst). I've
experimented this month without using the zero fat Walden Farms twice this month and each time I
dropped weight. Maybe just a coinsidence, but this was the only food difference between the two months.
When fasting (both water/juice) in the past I didn't experience lengthy plateaus. My body goes into
atophagy and the energy that was spent on digestion went into healing. I had no hunger pains after the
first 10 days and any plateaus were short-lived. Because I am not fasting now, my body is expecting food,
with the lower amount of calories my body is storing the fat. This would account for the reluctance to
release the pounds. This month frequently my calorie restriction of 998 has been higher.
Because of these three observations, I'm taking the following actions. First, I am discontinuing the Walden Farms Dressing, I'm going to eat the full amount of calories (1055) that are designated to release two pounds per week, and three, I will incorporate my allotted fat for the day back into my salads/dressing.
This adventure is a learning process and I'm willing to be flexible if the current path is not working. Not easy...but I'm sure the rewards will be worth the journey. Staying the course with minor changes. None of this may apply to you as our bodies are different and we each have our own experiences. I'm just sharing my path because I've learned so much from others so, as a usually private person, I'm willing to participate and, at t he least offer words of encouragement. I'm sure we can be successful if we are willing to persist when the challenges come.
9/21 and finally some results! I've learned that it is critical to eat all of my allotted 1055 daily calories...less is not better for me. It has been such a challenge this month but I was consistent with my lifestyle choices daily which is my mantra.
9/22 and still a downward trend. More importantly, I'm lovin' how I eat...I feel so healthy, full, and have lots of energy. Late in the day I treat myself to a decadent hot drink of almond milk with Pero, a teaspoon of cacao, and a few drops of stevia. This is my dessert and treat for maintaining my 998 daily deficit as well as signaling to my body, done with food for today. I'm lovin' life!

My house is on the top on a hill. It isn't particularly long but it gets steeper as you go up, so it is the worst to cycle up. Anyway it is always the worst part of my bike ride. This morning it was significantly easier. I think that was because I did a lot of hills on the weekend. I think I will concentrate on hills more.

Happy that the drop from yesterday has held so far. I spent the weekend dealing with some of the responsibilities on my plate, so that has helped my stress levels a bit.
15/9 126.6kg
I have moved to an IF 16:8 model, as I am finding if I have an early breakfast, then I am more hungry throughout the day. Still keeping it low carb as well, which really helps prevent snacking.
16/9 126.7kg
I'm finally settling into some good habits, and maintaining this new lifestyle is becoming easier. My husband is supportive, but still offers me treats that are high carb, which I medically need to control. He will get there at some point, but it is a test of my new habits.
17/9 126.9kg
Bounce, bounce, bounce. It will go down again. I just need to be patient. I'm going to try some low carb chocolate for dessert tonight. It will either work, or it won't.
18/9 126.5kg
A late post because I was travelling last night. High carb dinner, but I had planned for it, and it is an infrequent thing.
19/9 126.5kg
Did a bunch of walking with my kids today. It was good, but I am sore tonight. Also tried a high protein/low carb chocolate bar, which wasn't amazing, but was enough to hit my chocolate craving.
20/9 126.3kg
Today I took a day just for me. This winter has been really rough, so it was nice to have the time. Planning on an early night.
21/9 126.4kg
Still going. Days like today are just reminders that this is about the long term. I can't rely on motivation, because motivation wanes. Instead I have to remember that this is needed for my health.
22/9 126.4kg
Hubby planned dinner, so we have pasta, schnitzel, peas and corn. I'm swapping out the veggies and pasta for a salad. I couldn't do keto at all, but low carb is manageable with swaps.
23/9 126.0kg
Somehow made it to my goal for the round on the last day. Looking forward to next round.
Loss round 126: 0.8kg
