I am Dawn, 60, 5'2"
MFP start weight October 28.18 - 191 pounds
This 10 day challenge began for me in round 95 at 158.4 pounds
I have lost 15 pounds in 330 days (33 rounds)
This will be my 34th round
Day, Weight, Comment
10/04 - 143.5 - I gained 1.1 pounds in the last round. Going to work to undo that.
10/05 - 143.1 - Good to see a modest loss
10/06 - 142.1 - Getting closer to September's numbers. When I came back from 2 weeks of holidays and went back to work (stress) I really gained. Glad that it is starting to even out.
10/07 - 141.5 - yay
10/08 - 139.6 - Fun to see that number although it doesn't seem real. We'll see tomorrow.
10/09 - 141.3 - All good with today's number, but really happy to have touched the 130s once. Exciting to think that I can get into that next decade.
10/10 - 142.3 - All over the place with fluctuations, no reason for this gain. I was hoping for a nice low number today before I go into 3 days of (Canadian) Thanksgiving food.
10/11 - 142.6 - Kind of expecting this to go up, stuffing and gravy etc.
10/12 - 143.0 - One more day of Thanksgiving food today.

10/04 212.6
10/05 211.2 - that does not make sense to me - i did not do anything special yesterday - the other option my scale offered me was 210.8, which seems even less likely. We'll see what tomorrow brings - it would be great if i can hang on to this number.
10/06 210.6 - i expect a bounce tomorrow - if i can have this weight at the end of the round I will be very pleased.
10/07 211.8 - there's the bounce - plus some water retention I think - delicious Pad Thai for lunch - portion size was good but sodium was high
10/08 IDK weighed and for got to log in - now I forget the number

Goal -150 Alcohol only on weekends, exercise daily, plenty of water, no bread.
10/4-162-Walked 2 miles, then weed wacked. Started digging up the yard to bring in topsoil. Got fundraiser takeout that had salty sausages, but was really good!
10/10-159-I’ve been digging in the yard and quilting.
10/11-161-sat at a fundraiser for the garden club all day.
10/12-159-Careful eating. Today I can get back in the yard.10 -
@superveggiecat Cutting back on carbs will help your glucose hog down. Before insulin, that was how diabetes was treated-actually it WAS a starvation diet. Your body will make glucose if it needs it but we eat WAY more carbs than we need. There are NO essential carbohydrates.
@mousie1973. You are always welcome to the next round! As long as one of we diehards is around, there will be new rounds!5 -

10/4 112.0 WHOA! I have no idea! Delayed reaction to the 42 hour fast last week? I had hardly eaten today and wasn’t hungry but I ate something and now I’m miserable. I slept about an hour longer than usual which made me run late for breakfast with neighbors, the coffee cake I was making wasn’t done. Oh well! AF
10/5 115.5 LOL I thought that scale was crazy yesterday. Guess I was right! It’s all good! DH also had odd weigh ins. I think the scale was messing with us! AF Gym 351 cal
10/6 115.0 AF
10/7 114.5 Odd day yesterday, I considered fasting but too many leftovers so I made a taco salad and that was my OMAD then I ate some keto apple crisp for dessert and was stuffed! AF
10/8 116.5 Expected increase, Greek salad with gyro and 1/2 pita for dinner yesterday. AF Awake today at 4:27AM! Toooo early!
**After 10 cups of coffee and the TMI visit, I just go on the scale and weigh 116.0. That’s what getting up early does! Not AF
10/9 117.5 Totally not surprised. Lunch with neighbor ladies at a Mexican restaurant. Taco salad - no beans but the meat mixture was creamy so I wonder if refried beans were in it, plus I ate some chips and part of the bowl. Going to visit friends at the lake today after the gym. Awake at 4:30 again, got up at 5:20. Slight headache, gone now AF
10/10 117.0 Slept until 6:30 Went to bed late but went right to sleep snd slept through. Eating was good yesterday. Pork belly is very satisfying and sticks with you. May have to buy more of that in the future!
10/11 116.0 dinner today at a neighbors. He is diabetic but doesn’t necessarily eat properly.
10/12 117.0 Delicious smoked ribs!9 -

Long term goal 125
Starting Weight 165.1
Goal this round 163
Day/Weight/Comment
10/04- 165.4 Did not expect to up any, did not eat all day yesterday and only got a small salad late last night.
10/05- 166.3 Well, that was a leap.
10/06- 165.5 Ok, headed back down. Need to keep that up.
10/07- 165.9 Well damn!:(
10/08- 166.5 Alright, that's about enough of that. I have to figure this out, maybe salt!
10/09- 166.3 At least its not up more.
10/10- 165.2 Going in the right direction again, just hoping I don't end this weighing more than I started.
10/11- 165.5 Well, just nothing to say at this point.
10/12- 165.1 Back where I started.

Round 128
Age: 39
Height: 5’ 4”
SW: 163
CW: 150.4
GW: 145
UGW: 130
GW for this round: 148
Round 126 (1): 156 to 153.2 (-2.8 lbs)
Round 127 (2): 153.2 to 150.4 (-2.8 lbs)
10/04 - 150.4 - Continuing to hold steady from the end of the last round. Feeling great - I chopped my hair off last night and I don’t think I did that bad of a job! Got out for a run this morning and will be meal prepping this afternoon.
10/05 - 151.0 - The only reason I can think of for this gain is water weight - so hopefully I’ve got a whoosh coming in my future! I ran about 2 miles yesterday, then did a 3+ mile family hike (pushing 70+ lbs of kids and stroller), so I know I came in under calories since I didn’t eat differently from usual. I did my regular workout this morning and will track carefully this week.
10/06 - 150.4 - And back down again. Pretty tired this morning- feeling very heavy and low on energy. I took the kids out to a nearby garden this morning and let them run and play - really hoping that means a good nap for the toddler and an easier afternoon.
10/07 - 150.0 - Oooo, so close! I haven’t seen below 150 since my almost 5 year old was born. (Of course, by saying this I’ve guaranteed it will go back up tomorrow, right?) Tweaked something in my back yesterday which made sleep hard, but feeling better this morning.
10/08 - 149.6 - *happy dance* I can do this! I am doing it, and I will keep doing it! Yay!
10/09 - 149.4 - Very happy that the scale stayed under 150. We had takeout burgers and fries for dinner last night, and while I tried to keep mine reasonably healthy (switched the burger to a grilled chicken breast, only ate half and gave myself a fixed portion of fries) I was expecting the sodium to push the scale number up. Didn’t do as much Ring Fit this morning since I got up a little late, but we’ve been out for a long walk and will spend most of today outside given the nice cool weather and clean air!
10/10 - 149.2 - I am definitely noticing a difference in how my body feels when I exercise after a poor night’s sleep vs a good one. Woke up at 3 AM and couldn’t fall back asleep - finally got out of bed at 5:30. Dragged myself through Ring Fit but it didn’t feel energizing like it usually does. Hopefully the coffee will help since I’ve got a bunch of things to do around the house this morning, then going to an outdoor wine tasting that I’m SUPER excited about.
10/11 148.2 - Hello, mini-whoosh! Not sure where that come from, since yesterday was my first real “maintenance” day since I started working to lose weight and tone up. The wine tasting was amazing - socially distanced, outside with a beautiful sunset, and got to spend a few hours kid-free with friends. I tracked the snacks we had for dinner and included the wine - certainly higher than my usual calorie count for the day but nothing that would undo all the progress I’ve made.
10/12 - 148.4 - Hoping to end strong tomorrow. Really pleased with how this challenge went and I’m looking forward to the next one. I need to get to sleep earlier though; now I have to get up at 5:30 or so going to bed at 11:30-midnight is just not working.

Day/Weight/Comment
10/03 …..210.4….. ENDING WEIGHT LAST ROUND
10/04 …..210.0 ….. The gift of the pumpkin bread from a friend didn’t help, but I’m working it back down. Luckily it was a mini loaf which I shared. All gone!
10/05 …..211.6….. WTH??? A lot of steps yesterday and food seemed balanced. However, dinner at 11:00 pm (busy day) and no TMI probably contributed. I will stay mindful today!
10/06 …..209.4 ….. Wildly all over the place. Not my scale, just my habits and my TMI. Happy to see such a nice Whoosh today!
10/07 …..209.6….. Fluctuation. Yesterday was a pretty good day!
10/08 …..209.8 ….. I’m still going to call this a fluctuation because I had a very good day yesterday. However, no TMI x 2 days so that is probably it. Overall, I am making better choices. Last night I prep cooked for today’s lunch and leftovers for dinner. A very low cal & low carb dish. It should help. I absolutely cannot keep dipping back up into the 210 and higher. I’ve got to take this gift of 209 point whatever and continue a downward trend. I am very proud of myself right now.
10/09 …..209.6 ….. TMI helped finally. I also ate prepped food which was very good but I became severely hungry last night due to the low calorie options. The snacks were not healthy and not in plan or my numbers would have been better. My car broke down last night also. I think it’s the transmission. In the shop today. This is not good. Pray for me that it will be fixable at a reasonable cost!
10/10 …..210.0 ….. I went out for fish fry for the first time in awhile which included hash browns. I will try to watch it very carefully today.
10/11 …..209.2 ….. Practiced a little IF yesterday which seems to have helped. That meant eating my meals later but it also cut out the need for excessive midnight madness snacks. I am doing the happy dance today since my round goal is to lose ANYTHING, even fractions of fractions of a pound and this morning I am down over a whole pound!
10/12 …..208.6 ….. Very happy today but a bit surprised. We shall see what tomorrow brings.
10/13 …..xxxxx …..

My Name is Donna, Age 60. I am 5’5” tall & I live in Northern Michigan USA
“We will encounter many defeats but we must not be defeated.” ~Maya Angelou
STARTING WEIGHT: 211.3
Day 01 – 09/17 ….210.8…..Very Pleased. This is a nice way to start! Good luck everyone!
Day 02 – 09/18 ....210.6….. Happy Dance!
Day 03 – 09/19 ….211.2….. canned soup with crackers. Too much sodium but had no time to cook yesterday.
Day 04 – 09/20 ….210.8….. Better!
Day 05 - 09/21 …..211.0….. not a bad little increase after movie night with son and some pizza.
Day 06 – 09/22 …..210.8….. Traveled today so tomorrow will be pitiful. Going to get very diligent to knock it back into the atmosphere. No extra fat allowed to hang around here. Time to go!
Day 07 – 09/23 …..212.0….. After travel. I will work on this today.
Day 08 – 09/24 …..210.8….. Traveled again but kept it to one meal and a small snack and I was rewarded!
Day 09 – 09/25 …..211.6….. I hate gaining when there is no apparent reason why. Yesterday was a pretty good day. However, there was not much movement due to all the special meetings I had. So today I will focus on more movement and cautiously go to the grocery store for more water (which is a little scary on a Friday in this small tourist town). Hydration may be key today. Flush, flush, flush.
Day 10 – 09/26 …..211.4…..
Day 11 – 09/27 …..211.2….. I am not getting where I want to be in a very healthy way. Even with the scale going down I am not super happy. I know I avoided meals yesterday and just ate too much junk. It may have been lower calories overall and it may have caused a decrease on the scale but it is all about healthy and sustainable. I vow to have a better day today. One day at a time, right?
Day 12 – 09/28 …..209.8…..Yay!!! Better meals, a bit better movement. I just gotta watch those bad snacks!
Day 13 – 09/29 …..210.0….. Just a simple fluctuation. I had a very well-balanced day yesterday. Low cal for sure.
Day 14 – 09/30 …..211.0….. Chinese food yesterday with leftovers today. Still down a tad from the start.
Weight Loss in September……………….. 0.3 lb LOSS
Total Accumulated Weight Loss…..0.3 Loss
Day 15 – 10/01 …..211.0…..I finished the last of the Chinese food. Now time for healthier and less sodium!
Day 16 – 10/02 …..209.0….. Whoosh! Practiced some IF yesterday and tried to keep the calories low (AS THEY SHOULD BE) . I hope today will be another good day!
Day 17 - 10/03 …..210.4….. I salted my low sodium veggie soup because it tasted sweet and then I cheated with some dessert when I could have just had the soup and called IT dessert! Lesson learned. However, I am still down 1.6 in the last 10 days which is better than I’ve done in awhile so I will try to keep up the momentum. I am hydrating a lot today to offset any bloat.
Day 18 – 10/04 …..210.0….. Going back down, even with challenges. #nevergiveup
Day 19 – 10/05 …..211.6….. I ate healthy yesterday but dinner was not until 11:00 pm (busy day). Lots of steps also so this is a shock! No TMI this morning so that doesn’t help. Very disappointing but not disrupting. Staying on track today.
Day 20 – 10/06 …..209.4….. Whoosh!
Day 21 – 10/07 …..209.6….. A good day yesterday so this is likely a normal fluctuation.
Day 22 – 10/08 …..209.8….. Another good day. The slight fluctuation must be from no TMI (potty) x 2 days. Otherwise, all is well. Good choices are being made. Not too much movement due to a pretty yucky foot injury but otherwise, all is well.
Day 23 – 10/09 …..209.6…..Slightly better but my snacks were cheats last night. Working to stop the midnight madness!
Day 24 – 10/10 …..210.0…..Fish fry last night. Today I will be extra careful. I am going to go look at Dawn’s videos right now. Pretty exited!
Day 25 – 10/11 …..209.2….. Yay!
Day 26 – 10/12 …..208.6….. Artificially low? We’ll see what tomorrow brings.

@quiltingjaine You're so nice. I swear to you I do not eat a lot of carbs. As an example...
Yesterday's meals/carbs:
Yogurt/Berries/granola: 1/3 cup of Bearnaked FIT granola
1 Serving Lentil Stew: ~1/4 cup cooked brown rice.
Omelette with cheese, chicken sausage, zucchini and pepper.
1 riesien.
I don't have bread, potatoes, white rice, pasta, desserts, you name it. I exercise, do a 16 hour fast most days, I am throwing everything but the kitchen sink at my blood sugar. And certainly my weight is coming off! But the blood sugar goes down to 99, up to 115, and down again, and my food or exercise the day before doesn't predict which way my numbers go. I guess I'm hoping that as I lose more fat and build more muscle, my body will just get better at insulin.3 -

10/5: 266.4 ~ I’m going to start taking waist measurements on the weekends. I’m tired of not seeing my weight really change and having no other measurements to check if I’m making progress. I always aim to keep things as simple as possible or I know I won’t follow through, which is why I’m doing just my waist measurement and not my whole body.

10/08 144.6 small breakfast, smoothie for lunch and bigger protein dinner felt good yesterday.

Ready for My Round 6!
Jillian Age 34 and 5'1"
HSW: 179.8
CSW: 160
GW: 130
UGW: 116
Mini GW: 158 will get me out of the obesity category and into the overweight category according to the BMI.
RGW: 158 and Exercise More
Round 123 (1): 179.8 to 176.4 (-3.4)
Round 124 (2): 176.4 to 170 (-6.4)
Round 125 (3): 170.0 to 169.2 (-0.8)
Round 126 (4): 167.8 to 164.4 (-3.4)
Round 127 (5): 164.4 to 160.4 (-4.0)
🏃 10/04: 160.0 This is a wonderful start. It means the excessive amount of sushi I had last night did no harm. However, I am making it a personal daily goal to play a Switch fitness game today. It will probably be Ring Fit Adventure.
🏃 10/05: 161.0 I did manage to play Ring Fit Adventure, but dinner threw me off yesterday. My husband wanted Cracker Barrel, and I noticed they had a new pot roast soup, which probably would have been perfect. However, Doordash called and said they didn't have it, so I just told them I wanted fried shrimp. I guess that was the mistake because I gained despite it falling within my calories. Lmao. It was really delicious, though, so I guess it was worth one day of going in the wrong direction. Today will be better.
🏃 10/06: 161
🏃 10/07: 160.6 I'm not even worried about the scale not moving much today because I have a different sort of victory. I can squeeze into my largest jeans that I own for the first time two years! Yesterday, I had charro beans and fajita for lunch and chicken and green beans for dinner. I hope to eat similarly today. We shall see if I can do some Switch fitness today, too. I am also feeling really good!
🏃 10/08: 158.8 This is fantastic to see right after Ring Fit Adventure knocked me out yesterday. It was such a good workout that I couldn't move for a while! The boss battles get tougher as you go along.
🏃 10/09: 159.2 This was definitely from way too much sodium, so I'm not letting it bother me. I am on a good track now. This will be a great weekend!
🏃 10/10: 158.4 Yesterday, I found out Whataburger had a new spicy chicken sandwich, so I had to try it. I am glad it didn't do any harm. It probably helped that I had a cucumber salad for lunch. Today is the day I make some time for my Switch fitness games.
🏃 10/11: 159.4 Yikes. Well, I still have a few days to get that number back down. I am eating within my calories and played my Switch Ring Fit Adventure yesterday. I am doing what I can, and I have been getting stronger. I will stay the course. I had energy today to run around outside in the heat with my 7 year old today. That is a big win!
🏃 10/12: 157.8 Yes! I'm very happy to see this. This means that I am officially out of the obesity range and into the overweight range on the BMI scale! I'm cautiously excited. I recognize it may bounce up and down around here before I keep away from 158 and up forever.

Thank you @GrandmaJackie for this opportunity. Wishing much success for each of us throughout these ten days.
3rd Round: 128
Day/Weight/Comment
10/04 189 Looking forward to conquering the 180s
10/05 188.6 Committed to going into the New Year with renewed health - 10 days at a time
10/06 188.3 Balancing spiritual, mental, physical. Realization: Food plays an integral role for each
10/07 187.l Eating all allotted calories this round, continuing consistent daily deficit...life is good
10/08 187 Upper body workout only due to temporary injury. My lifestyle survives any challenge. Bring it!
10/09 188 Missing Roadwork....stretches/appropriate weights & sauna. Food/calories on point. Staying dedicated
10/10 189 OK... warrior time, mentally. Continuing to trust the process and the science. I will continue to maintain my daily exercise (with accommodation for temporary injury), eat all my calories up to my daily deficit, and remain resolute in my goals. "You are what you repeatedly do. Excellence is not an act, but a daily habit".
10/11 187 Confirmation that when your scale shows a gain....stay strong and maintain the deficit. The science wins out. For the last four months I've never eaten over my deficit. I used to eat less than my suggested deficit which, I discovered, would create long plateaus as my body metabolism would slow down to compensate for the very low calories. I adjusted to eat right up to my daily caloric deficit and it is currently working. I constantly reflect/review and will change if the plan is not working. I'm loving how I eat and I'm never hungry... patience is required when I get a temporary jolt upward, just my body processing and accepting this way of life. Lovin' my life....enjoy and stay strong!
10/12 186.7 Appreciate this tribe...keeping me accountable today

Day/Weight/Comment
4/10 125.3kg
Hubby and kids have left town for a few days. I'm planning on catching up on sleep, work and housework.
5/10 125.5kg
I'm maintaining trust in the process. Last month I had 10 days of slow increase, then a big drop. Today is day 5.
6/10 124.8kg
Whoosh. A bit earlier and less than I expected, but if it doesn't go as high, I can't be surprised that it doesn't go as low. Reuniting with my family tomorrow. It has been a lovely few days by myself.
7/10 124.3kg
Another big drop. This gets me much closer to where I would be without the bumps. Gone on holidays, so no weighing for a few days, but I will keep on checking in.
8/10 DNW
I'm busy keeping up with the kids. They are always going. I will need a holiday from my holiday at this rate.
9/10 DNW
Hiked to the beach, then along to an interesting rock called Camel Rock. All up, it took about 90 minutes, but with the kids, there was a lot of stopping and starting. I have blisters now though.
10/10 DNW
Last day of my holidays. When the cabins booked were at opposite ends of the park (and a hill) getting plenty of steps in has been default.
11/10 DNW
Spent a good portion of the day in the car, and then had a long nap. Didn't meet my step goal today.
12/10 125.0kg
Higher, likely because of my travelling and eating out. I know I was still careful with choices, but I did have more carbs and more salt than when at home. It should settle out now that I am back in routine.

Starting Weight: 338lbs January 1, 2014
Goal Weight: 122-125lbs
Day/Weight/Comment:
10/04 138lbs. (No change is better than an increase, right?)
10/05 138.5 (Ah...and there’s in the increase. Sigh. No idea why. I am doing my usual...weighing my vegetables, counting every calorie in my grape tomatoes, have run 3.5 miles every day, walked 15,000 plus steps, drank more than 120oz. water. Sigh. We’ll see tomorrow...)
10/06 139.5 (Dude getting weighed everyday is hard. Yesterday ran 3.75miles, 17,000 steps, 1135 calories, water, morning and evening exercises. And I gained a pound? What was it? Did the banana or apple I ate weigh more than the produce scale at Giant Eagle reflect? Oh well...every day is a new one. Maybe tomorrow will see a drop.)
10/07 138lbs (I didn’t see the drop I wanted, but I didn’t panic either. Just going to keep trying.)
10/08 139.5 (A gain. Yesterday was my usual 3.5 miles run. 1110 calories. 134 oz. of water. Very cherry tomato calories counted. Apple and peach weighed and veggies, too. Strength exercises, everything. I KNOW this happens. And I KNOW it will be okay. But it is still hard.)
10/09 137.5lbs. (Better. But it is still hard.)
10/10 137.5kbs. (The scale is not my friend. I just wish I could feel rewarded by achieving healthy goals...like the running and the eating right, the not bingeing. Instead I let the scale give me a thumbs up or thumbs down...it is hard.)
10/11 138lbs. (Yesterday was my higher calorie day, I have these, high-protein days once every two weeks, but I NEVER get weighed the day after because I get too scared. But I promised 10 days so I did! And it was okay. The uptick on the scale didn’t crush me like I thought it would. Slow and steady wins the race, right? It may take me a year to lose the 12-14 lbs. and that is okay. Right? Maybe?)
10/12 138.5lbs. (Up again. But didn’t fret- too much- running, workouts and eating all going well, under 1200 calories, 3.5 miles a day. Slow and steady.)

I'm in! Thank you, @GrandmaJackie!
70 year old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion... ...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.
We used to walk 5 miles a day. Recovered from back surgery then hip surgery!! Got back to walking then I sprained my ankle. UGH! I was down for 6 weeks with the ankle. Getting back to it slowly.
The Shelter in Place has everyone freaked. We need to remain calm and respectful of each other.
