I started walking a mile each day - not quite 3 weeks ago. Today I got to a mile and a half and didn't have to stop once. Nor was I out of breath AND I had my mask on.29

It's a scalar NSV
My first week (I've just started week 4) was great! The scale showed that I lost a few pounds, and I knew it was water weight, but it was nice kick-start.
During week 2, and the scale bounced - up a pound, down a pound. I could blame it on my menstrual cycle, and I knew I was sticking to my calorie goals so I was okay with the bouncing.
Then week 3, the scale kept bouncing - that same damn pound! What was even going on?!? But I knew I was still sticking to my calorie goal, and EVENTUALLY the weight had to go, right? RIGHT?!?
Happily, on Monday this week, the scale did finally move! FINALLY!!!
But my NSV is not that the scale moved. It's that I stuck with it when it wasn't moving. I believed in the science of weight loss and kept doing the appropriate food- and exercise-based things, even though the scale didn't change. That feels really important to my journey!

I love this! You did amazing just trusting the process and knowing that eventually science had to prove out. I've had the exact same issues - with weight bouncing all around and only knowledge of what I was doing letting me hold out till I saw progress. I think that's what so important about logging, that way you KNOW for a fact what you are taking in and don't have to guess. Way to go!9 -
I broke out this toning/stretching book that I had bought well over a decade ago (but never cracked open), and took the time to try all of the core exercises and stretches last night. I could feel it in my abs afterward!
Usually my only exercise is walking, but with the cold, rainy weather we've been having, I'm glad I was able to find something else to keep me active!15 -
fitting into my old size 8 (UK) jeans. They're still a bit tight, but hopefully won't be by the time I reach my goal weight. At the start of my diet, I was a size 16!19

After losing 56lbs I no longer snore! No more getting elbowed in the ribs at night for this guy.28

Went to the store to buy some salads. Passed by the donuts, cookies, cakes, what not section and got my salad and some chopped fruit and hightailed it out of there. Before starting this new lifestyle, I would have gotten 6 donuts, cheesecake, and some cookies.32

I deadlifted 60 kgs today 132lbs, it was awesome and I feel awesome. I tried for 70, but my grip is too slippery, so I am off to buy some gloves17

Over the last couple days I am retaining ALL the water. The jeans I fit so comfortably in won't button and zip. I'm reduced to yoga pants. And I'm not freaking out. This is clearly an unholy mashup of the fibro flare I'm having due to a week of rain, and my oncoming, any time now, TOM.
As was said above, I know I haven't been eating enough over my calories at any point to actually gain any weight back, because of logging, and weighing every day for six months gave me a better understanding of what my body's doing. So I'm not going to freak out or have a bad day, because even feeling so bloated that I can feel it when I close my hands, I'm still at least forty pounds lighter than I was at the start of the year. I mean, do I WANT to be weighing less when I see family at Christmas (including my ex) ? Oh, yeah. But I'm not focused on it being exactly 200 pounds or 75 pounds lost, or wearing a size 12 or anything. I'm sure that in the next two months I'll lose some, and that will be just fine. This is a marathon, not a sprint, and I'm doing it in a sustainable way, and I'm happy.
And given that I avoided dieting for years because I thought I would be miserable... yeah. This is a thing.26 -
I have 2 today. I usually stretch my tshirts before putting them on so they feel loose on me. I havent had to do that in a week. For the second, I have had to use a shower brush to reach all of my naughty bits, dont need that anymore.22

Toning and stretching exercises are so good for you. But as winter leads to shorter days and more rain there are also some pretty good 'walking videos' on youtube that I use to keep up the aerobic element of my exercise. Not as good for the mind as a lovely hike and I do walk in the rain - just not in a howling gale and horizontal rain - no-one needs to suffer that much . Jessica Smith is my go to but there are lots.7 -
I've been working out 6 days a week, eating healthy and at a calorie-deficient for a little over 5 weeks now. Today for the first time, someone at work noticed that I've lost weight. So exhilarating!29

Once I started doing this my routine, life, and success got so much better. It can be a pain to start but it's now a away of life. I've backed off a bit working from home so I have more time now, but I used to plan lunches and evening meals for the week, and then prep all of the vegetables, and other foods needed for the week. Reduced the amount of food I've tossed out, and removed my excuses to go out to eat because it would take to much work to get everything ready for meals. You won't regret it!15 -

I'm smaller than my husband. We're both 5'7" and when we met he was doing triathlons (not competitively) and I was in the best shape of my adult life (not as fit as him). He was 64kg and I was 68kg.
I started MFP at 82kg (post baby number 2) and now weigh less than him (67.5kg to 66.8kg at the last weigh in, he's not actively losing).
But it's not about the weight, he had a pair of really nice walking trousers that are just a little too tight on him and he was going to charity shop, I said I should at least try them (he said they'd never fit my hips)
Not only are they comfortable on me, they also look good despite being men's trousers!25
