    Been vegetarian for years, then a "messed up vegan", now think I have the correct tools to "do plant based right" this time.




    (note: Since there is SUCH a dividing line for some people, I don't describe myself as "vegan" as I will take medications, have leather products etc. "Plant based" is how I call me. But it IS all about the animals)

    For what it's worth, the "possible and practicable" part of veganism is key for me. If someone needs medications, then they need them and I don't consider them any less vegan as a result. I also don't think it's realistic to expect people to throw out clothing, household items, etc. It's wasteful and would create a budgetary strain for many people.

    I am in a plant-based group here on MFP (doubtless there are others). It's small, friendly, and very much about food choices.
