HEAVIEST weight: 175.4 in early 2013.
    Total Weight lost: 30 pounds
Time it took to lose: ~6 months
How long in maintenance: Since July 2018 -- but with some fluctuation outside of goal range.
Maintenance weight range: 142 - 148 (and not sure that's the right answer)

Average weight recorded from 2017 (12 months): 163.8
Average weight recorded from 2018 (12 months): 150.7
Average weight recorded from 2019 (12 months): 144.8

Average weight recorded from December 2019: 145.0
Average weight recorded from January 2020: 143.7
Average weight recorded from February 2020: 144.2
Average weight recorded from March 2020: 145.9
Average weight recorded from April 2020: 148.5
Average weight recorded from May 2020: 149.2
Average weight recorded from June 2020: 147.3
Average weight recorded from July 2020: 146.2
Average weight recorded from August 2020: 145.1
Average weight recorded from September 2020: 144.0

    Average weight Week of...
    September 28 - Oct 4 ..... 146.6
    October 5 - 11 ................. 147.1
    October 12 - 18 ................ 149.4
    October 19 - 25 ................ 148.7
    October 25 - Nov 1 ...........

Success of the week: I was surprised to see my average weight this week is down a little from last week. Still just over the top of my six pound goal range, but pretty close.

Struggle of the week: Trending weight app still shows I am gaining, and that's not good since I'm still above the top of my ideal maintenance range; at least I am still within my absolute range, and I am moderating back down to where it should be... it's so slow. Time for something to change.

    Oct 19th: 49.2 kg (trend 49.1 kg)
    Oct 26th: 49.1 kg (trend 49.2 kg)

    Successes:
I’ve been reviewing the last few months and can see that I have been very successful at maintaining my weight in spite of a lot of holidays. Here in England campsites were allowed to open in early July, and hotels a few weeks later. So, in the last few months we have enjoyed 9 mini-breaks! We started with 3 motorhome breaks (3 nights each time) and since August we have had coach holidays and other short breaks. Each time I have eaten well (and enjoyed some alcohol and cakes), kept active walking and swimming (only in the 3 hotels) while away. My average and trend weight have increased but by less than 1 kg, and I’m still within my goal range.

Struggles: None really, except the ongoing Covid situation.
Looking forward, our run of holidays is coming to an end. Our trip to North Wales has been postponed to December (but I am doubtful that it will happen then, the hotel has now been closed since early October and I don’t see the situation improving until the spring). Our 2-week holiday to Lanzarote has been re-arranged to 2021, and the weather isn’t very tempting for campsite holidays especially as so many venues are closed or difficult to visit.

Time to hunker down, concentrate on my fitness and health and catch up with jobs around the house and garden.

    Onward to November
    Stay safe

Successes/struggles: Was worried because I went out to a restaurant on the 16th (I got to see my son and grandsons so I took the chance). But it was been 10 days so I feel comfortable not getting the virus from the event.

This week was good. I followed by eating fairly closely and got every day of planned exercise in except Sunday. Weight stayed the same so all is good.

    Oct 21 Avg: 154.56 Trend: 154.5
    Oct 28 Avg: 153.79 Trend: 153.3

Success/Struggle: 10/21 Seems I’m burning fewer calories, but walking much more. Calories are good. Waiting another week -could be a s l o w loss / plateau. No complaints: I’m maintaining in the 154’s.

10/28 - Yep, a plateau & I always “gain” when it’s really hot & “lose” with first cold weather which happened this week. Exercising tons & keeping cLories mid 2000 - 2100.

I hope you have a wonderful week!

Weigh-in day for me is Friday

    Week of:
    October 2 - 57.0kg
    October 9 - 55.8kg
    October 16 - 56.2kg
    October 23 - 57.3kg
    October 30 - 56.2kg

Struggle/Success: Although there were a few down days this past week, the majority of time things were better and I was able to do much better with my eating. Our doggie is able to walk much more now, albeit still only about 25% of what she was doing before, but my steps are gradually getting better. Mom is stable and seems keen to work on her speech therapy and walking rehab :-) which is great. I've been eating much less meat which is a good thing!

How long in maintenance: I hit my goal weight in the beginning of January 2018, but officially started maintenance in mid-March 2018 after figuring out my calories for a couple of months.
    Maintenance weight range: 108-112.5

    Oct 25: 112.2 (trend 112)
    Oct 31: 111.5 (trend 111.7)

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: It was a bit on the cooler side this week so it was a bit more difficult to get out and about outdoors. It'll only trend more in that direction, so I'm hoping that I'll be able to keep up with going outside for walks and outdoor dining without it getting too cold for that.

How long in maintenance: Since April 2016 - but gained 10 kg March-May 2020 after massive trauma combined with COVID-19.
Maintenance weight range: 65-75 kg (not sure what’s the right answer - been up and down in there numerous times in my life, apart from going way over 2010-2015).

I’d like to lose a bit to get back to 70 kg, but I’m still happy at around 75 kg.

I’m experimenting with seeing how my satiety levels are in relation to the types of foods I eat. Trying to eat more whole foods, which I’ve been getting pretty good at, and less sugar, and it’s going quite well.

Weekly averages checking day for me is Sunday.

    Current moving average: 75.4 kg

Average weight recorded from June 2020: 75 kg
Average weight recorded from July 2020: 75 kg
Average weight recorded from August 2020: 75.8 kg
Average weight recorded from September 2020: 75.7 kg

    Average weight Week of...

    Sep 28 – Oct 4………… 75.1 kg
    Oct 5 – Oct 11………… 75.4 kg
    Oct 12 – Oct 18………. 75.5 kg
    Oct 19 – Oct 25……… 75.0 kg
    Oct 26 – 1 Nov……… 75.7 kg

I’d like to lose a bit to get back to 70 kg, but I’m still happy at around 75 kg.

Success/struggles of the week: It’s been cold still even though it’s nearing summer here, and I had macaroni and cheese one day, which strangely led me to want more the next day, and more sweets and sugary drinks. At least I don’t drink alcohol!

    10/18: 164.5
    10/25: 163.0
    10/31: 163.5

Success: Experimented with relaxing my logging on days when I work out vigorously. It seemed to work out okay. I had a bit of carb related weight gain M-W, but the weight dropped to a new low on Saturday, so it seemed to have all worked out okay. I'd like to get to the point where I don't need to log my food quite so precisely, yet not over eat. So I'm thinking this might be a good way to experiment in a controlled way.

Struggles: Still really busy. But still managed to run 5 days this week and have been able to increase my pace considerably.

    Success/Struggles:
Been going a bit more by how my clothes fit than using the scale every day. If I go out to eat I know the scale will be up unrealistically the next morning so I skip it and weigh the next day. I took like 7 days off from weighing but it didn’t seem to effect the scale all things considered.

One good note, I fit into my skinniest suit this morning! That was a nice surprise!

    On to November!
