    Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: My weight is still trending a bit downwards, which is good, as I'm still aiming to get more towards the middle of my range (110-110.5ish). The small changes I've made since a couple of months ago to my steps goal and calorie estimating for restaurant meals seem to still be working. Based on Trendweight, I'm almost back down to where I was at the end of May/beginning of June, which was right before my weight kept increasing, and it's actually right around where I was in November/December 2019 before the holidays and before all of the pandemic fluctuations.

    I’d like to lose a bit to get back to 70 kg, but I’m still happy at around 75 kg.

    I’m experimenting with seeing how my satiety levels are in relation to the types of foods I eat. Trying to eat more whole foods, which I’ve been getting pretty good at, and less sugar, and it’s going quite well.

    Still losing, with 2.5 kg to go, but now in my maintenance range. Since I have lost and gained before (see above) I really want to plan for maintenance this time, so thought I would join this thread now. (I hope that is OK.)
    After maintaining for a while at 75 kg, I may adjust my maintenance weight down to 72 kg (+/- 2.5), but I want to wait for a few months before making that decision.

    Comment on this week:
    Today's weight is above my maintenance range, and I am not sure what is going on. Last week I was comfortably below 77 kg (weighing after exercise), but this week I have been a bit above). I am still eating at a deficit which is meant to have me losing 1 kg per month, though for the past two months I have actually lost ca. 1.5 kg per month. I ate bove this two weekends ago: is this a delayed response by my body? It is also possible that my body is adjusting to my upping my rowing for a November challenge. Over the weekend I rowed 13km and walked 9km, which was quite a lot, though my practice is to eat back my exercise calories. Tuesday is my rest day and the day I weigh without exercising. I might be down again tomorrow after my rest day. We'll see...

    On the plus side, my averages are still in my maintenance range, albeit towards the top.

    My guesses are that your weight could be up because of hormones; or due to eating more carbs some days; or due to losing/regaining glycogen stores after/before exercising.

    Hi! My name is Kristen. And I struggle to maintain my weight. I have had great success losing/gaining, but I'm hoping this group helps me be more accountable. I weigh only 1x week on Sundays, so that's when I'll check in. My 2 goals in 2020 are to not let the scale go above 153 and weigh in EVERY Sunday for the WHOLE YEAR. This seems easy to most, but I get lazy and make excuses why I don't need to weigh in and then all of a sudden everything in my closet has shrunk. LOL

    Successes/Struggles: My company announced this week that we will continue to work at home until Summer of 2021. We haven't been in the office or seen anyone in person since March 13th. I enjoy working at home, but being a person who has worked in an office setting for 20 years, it's strange!

    The state of our federal government is starting to give me anxiety. With Covid-19 cases, hospitalizations, and deaths rising I know we are heading for lockdowns again, but hope they have enough sense to inforce them only in areas that need it. Things were feeling a lot more back to normal and I fear we are heading backwards.

    I have been wondering about hormones too. I don't have a monthly cycle any more but I do seem to be having a fairly regular bump up in my weight at the beginning of the month. But the shifts due to changes in exercise also seem likely. My average for the month is currently down about 0.8 kg from last month, so I'm still losing. I'll wait for a bit longer and see what happens.

    Success/Struggles: My weight jumped up to 115.6 on Monday and stayed in that range all week. I know it was water weight. I was pretty sore after my half marathon last weekend.  My trend even moved up to the 114 range. Today I had a big drop down to 112.6. I think I was a little dehydrated.  But I fully expect my weight to settle back in the 113 range. So I guess my success is not letting the fluctuations get to me.

    Struggles: I usually log every day and weight myself once a day with Monday's the "official" weigh-in. This week I found my focus slipping, missed a few days, and weight is over goal by a bit. I know it isn't panic mode time but it is a symptom. This seem obsessive to some but it is important to me to keep my weight in a healthy range and eat correctly. It is what works. I have a friend that we check in weekly and I check in here. It makes a difference between a lb or two and 20 lbs or more. So this is a success as well as a struggle.

    Comment on this week:
    No particular struggles this week, except the on-going challenge of trying to keep my fat intake down to below 35% of calories and my carbs up to around 45%. Weighed in all week after exercise between 77.0 kg and 76.3 kg, and that shows in my rolling average. Still waiting (somewhat impatiently...!) to get below 76.3 kg (168lbs = 12 stone) and into the 11 stone something range. Down 0.7 kg on my monthly average so altough I am in my maintenance range I am definitely still losing as planned, despite last week's blip. I am taking part in a rowing challenge which should have me rowing 20km at the end of the month, and rowed 7km, 9km and 10km on Sat, Sun and Mon, so that feels good.

    Struggle: Continuing to eat too many indulgences afternoon and evening, but partner is now more focused on a healthy diet so perhaps these temptations won't be around. Not enough yoga :-(

    Joined a gym and worked out, lunch out with friends another day, and yesterday a nature excursion.. Weight is fine, too.
    Finally having some smooth sailing after the disaster of a year my life had this year.

    Successes/Struggles: I ate my feelings this week and the scale shows it, even if I'm still at the bottom half of my goal range. Need to be better about snacking and seconds this week.

    We have a 3 day work week this week and next week. Thanksgiving and my birthday has always been a great time to take time off and re-set.

    My Mom and I booked a girl's week in Mexico for February 27th, hoping and praying we can go!

    Success of the week: I may have finally stopped the upward trend, and I got my mass back in my absolute maintenance range. My scale weight the last two days has even been in my ideal range. Near the top for sure, but in there.

    Struggle of the week: I started to realize I was eating just because I like to eat and because I wanted to. I think that's where the gain came from. I have lots of tasty food around the house. Most of it is even healthful, but of course not all. Even if I wasn't hungry, I just wanted to eat. Even though I was able to put a stop to it at least for a few days (success), I still want to go graze (struggle). It doesn't help that we are limiting how often we go to the grocery. I want to roast ALL the vegetables. I want to eat ALL the snacks. I want rice AND barley AND potatoes... that kind of thing.

    Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: My weight was pretty stable this week (not too many fluctuations, and it stayed within a tight range of between 111.2-111.6 all week). I typically have big fluctuations, so it was nice that my weight wasn't all over the place. I'm not expecting that to be the case the next couple of weeks though, with Thanksgiving this week (I'm doing a small Thanksgiving with just me and my boyfriend, but we're still planning to make a bunch of delicious food and eat a ton of it over the weekend) and then my birthday week the following week, when I'll be eating a lot of high calorie food as well.

    Success/Struggles: No real struggles or successes this week.  My weight is right where I want it to be. It goes up and down from day to day,  but I am finally at the point where I know that is normal and it doesn't bother me.     Struggle: doing okay. Will just take awhile.

    Success: I’m never dieting again. I suck at it to be honest. Took me years to lose 74 lbs., the whole time I told myself I’m never dieting again. Has taken me all of 2020 to lose from 160lbs. LOL so be it!

    So, I cut more calories & lengthened my hikes (and added more hills.) Am using up some of the more tempting foods in the pantry & not getting them again until I feel in a more solid place again. Still thrilled to be in 154’s!!

    Successes/struggles:
    So, my weight this morning is surprisingly low, it was hovering around 48.5 all week. I’m happy with that. We are hoping to be away on a short break in early December – and the hotel is promising lots of festive meals and treats – but at the moment it’s not clear whether the trip can happen. It’s a coach holiday to North Wales and we are in Somerset so we are waiting to hear the revised “lockdown” rules for England and Wales.
